Cliff of Thunder (Normal) - DarkSlay and smashlloyd20 (COMPLETED)

Status
Not open for further replies.
Eclipse takes the light-weight Marowak and lifts him behind one of the charged stones around. Meanwhile, Magnezone points his eye at Willow and blasts him with a beam of light. The Pyroak quickly retaliates with a fiery charges, but he remains hurt as well, further weakening his endurance. Chuck Norris however is still there, and leaves his mark with a devastating punch, followed by Gaia Crush who throws his bone, hitting the foe twice before catching it back and being left by the Hydreigon behind the rock.

Meanwhile Eclipse turns her full anger on the opponent, causing the floor beneath him to explode. However Magnezone's veil shines and zaps the three-headed dragon, knocking him out, while the magnet himself fires off a globe of silver light at the Pyroak. Willow answers back with another charge, albeit a weaker and safer one. On the contrary, Chuck Norris goes on total offense and lay waste to the foe with another mighty punch, while Gaia Crush goes for the one-two again.

The electric potential of Magnezone is totally going out of control - probably the idea of letting him zap a stone wasn't the best one, after all. Maybe, giving him direct contact with one of the stones could do the trick?

Congratulations, DarkSlay and smashlloyd20, on your success!

You'll earn the counters you deserve once the challenge is over. Each of you also get a Glyph of Flash Cannon

A Glyph is an item of great power, which may be equipped to a Pokémon to improve the effects of a specific move he knows. Note that the effects of glyphs only apply within Raid Zones, and that a Pokémon may carry only one Glyph at a time.

Glyphs are one-time use items, much like DPP TMs. Any Pokémon which learns the move which gives the name to the Glyph may equip the Glyph. You should take note of the Glyphs equipped to your Pokémon in your Registration post, below STAB Descriptions and above Stats. In order to equip or overwrite a Glyph, you need to post in the ASB Raid Zone General Thread (when it will be up after this test).

Until used, a Glyph should be placed in your backpack (again, take note of it in your registration post). You may not give this Glyph to anyone else. It is effectively bound to you until you use it on a Pokémon of yours.

A Glyph works pretty much like an Innate Ability. It doesn't take energy or actions to be used.

Glyph of Flash Cannon: Removes Flash Cannon's secondary effect chance and causes it to have 30% chance to raise user's Special Attack by 1 stage (Doesn't work on Pokémon with the ability Sheer Force)

I will update the raid shortly, don't post in the meantime

After few time, you manage to clear your way, allowing you to reach the outside once again. Now you are probably higher than before, and the winds blow even stronger. Fearsome lightnings glow at every instant in the black, clouded sky. The route proceeds in a circular fashion around the mountain, slowly rising. Sometimes you find peculiar rock shapes, almost resembling artificial constructions. But if they indeed were, they are so ruined you can't possibly grasp what they used to look in the past.

The path ends almost atop of the peak. In front of you, a perilous bridge of wood oscillates upon the bottomless pit below you. The bridge looks seriously unsafe and ready to crash under the harshness of the wild winds which blow at this height, but you are not willing to go back either. After an understandable moment of breathtaking and reflection, you start making your careful steps on the eroded wooden bars of the bridge. They make alarming noises as you put your feet over them, and sometimes they even crack, almost making you fall below a fair share of times. You wonder why you're here, among other things. Nevertheless, after the longest minutes in your life, you find yourself on the other side of the bridge. Suddendly, a bolt of lightning hits the bridge near its center, setting it on fire and causing it to crack and fall. If you had any idea about turning back, it looks like nature kindly lifted you from the burden of choice.

As you proceed through this sort of plateau, you spot here and there huge stalagmites, drawing lightnings and discharging them to the ground like immense lightningrods. Taken between a mix of fear and awe, you advance between these impressive wonders, until you reach the other side of the plateau. A rather narrow route descends along the shape of the peak. You have no idea where will it take you, but you decide to go through it nonetheless. The path slowly widens until it becomes a quite large cliff, which surrounds the mountain on its northern side - assuming your senses can still tell you where north is. After not long, though, you find yourself in a dead end, much to your disappointment. A slide blocked the path, preventing you from continuing. You can't go back either, since the bridge was turned to ashes under your sorry eyes. You start to think about what to do, but then again, suddendly a mighty roar breaks your concentration, and spurs you to turn your eyes above!

Why would Chuck Norris use Fire Blast? Oh yeah, that's right. We're outside! You know what this means!

Willow, use Sunny Day to go ahead and brighten the mood! While it's sunny out, use Growth to prepare for some hurting!

Eclipse, use Work Up first, then strike with a powerful Fire Blast on that electric shield around Zapdos!

As fast as he showed up, Zapdos immediately takes into the air. Eclipse cheers up herself, ready for the fight. However, the Tynamo notes it and charges into the Hydreigon, scratching her skin. Willow roars mightily - above his head, the sky clears and the sun starts shining intensely! Chuck Norris makes a beautiful jump and strikes Zapdos without fail despite the height, while Gaia Crush dances menacingly with his bones. The lightning bird then leaps over the Pyroak, leaving a notable dent in his armor.

Now Zapdos starts shining intensely. Willow, made much more nimble by the power of sun, growths up his verdant force and stiffens up, disturbed by the Tynamo bouncing over him. Chuck Norris, exploiting the heated temperature, blasts the opponent with fire, while the Marowak keeps dancing. Eclipse fires off a fiery star of flames as well, but that doesn't stop Zapdos from diving on Willow once again, with devastating effects.

Time to unveil our master plan...

Willow, smash that shield with a Flamethrower! Then, let's use our trap...the sun is out, so use Synthesis to start healing mass amounts of damage!

Eclipse, use Stone Edge on Zapdos and its shield, then smash it with a Fire Blast once again!

Once again, Zapdos shrouds himself in a shining light. Willow bathes him in flames, weakening significantly his shield. Eclipse attempts to do the same with a physical assault, but the legendary bird dodges him at last. One of the Tynamo keeps scratching the Pyroak, while the newcomer goes on Chuck Norris, who in turn stiffens up his body defiantly. Gaia Crush tries to catch one of the Tynamos with his bone, but he misses the target. The same can't be said for Zapdos, who leaps over Pyroak, leaving him seriously wounded.

Relentless like a storm, the lightning bird starts glowing again. Willow absorb some light from the shining sun to heal up his wounds. Eclipse scorches Zapdos' shield with flames, while the two Tynamos now swarm over the Pyroak. Chuck Norris now turns on Zapdos as well, and further damages the protective shield. Instead, Gaia Crush throws again his bone, this time striking true. Similarly, Zapdos dives again on Willow, leaving yet another dent in his outlook. However, out from nowhere crawls another Pokémon, much bigger than the Tynamos.

At least we kind of hit the shield...

Willow, time to get a bit defensive. Use another Synthesis, then chill.

Eclipse, try to get Zapdos' attention this round. Use Taunt, then Fire Blast to see what we can do. Hopefully we can shift threat this round.

Eclipse, if it uses Fly on the first turn to dodge Taunt, put anEarth Power on the first Tynamo (or the second if the first one dies) in front of your moves and push Taunt to the second action.

Zapdos irradiates the Pyroak with a beam of light which leaves him extremely wounded. Willow calls forth the bright of the sun to heal up, but he does not look to be in good shape. Eclipse roars defiantly at the legendary bird, in an attempt to catch his attention. She succeeds, but the two Tynamos still keep tackling the Pyroak relentlessly. Gaia Crush attempts to bring down one, but his flying bone misses. Meanwhile, Chuck Norris chills out a little, and the Eelektrik swiftly bounces over Willow, leaving a remarkable hit.

Now Zapdos turns his full anger on the Hydreigon, emitting an eerie signal to freak him out. While his team mate Willow rests for a moment, Eclipse blasts the opponent with seething flames. The two Tynamos continue scratching the Pyroak, like annoying flies. Gaia Crush finally manages to hit one of them with his boomerang, but the tiny eel still hangs on. Chuck Norris points directly at the lightning bird, mashing him with sharpened rocks. Instead, the Eelektrik keeps hurting the Pyroak, almost making him faint. Meanwhile, another threatening eel joins the fray!

Smash, we need to get rid of that shield. Trust me, it's a priority.

Willow, use Synthesis then Flamethrower at the shield and Zapdos.

Eclipse, use Stone Edge then Fire Blast at Zapdos.

If the shield is down by the second action, redirect all attacks to the first Eelektrik. smash, do the same.

(For some reason, only now I realized that Hydreigon is faster than Clorophyll Pyroak... well luckily I checked before and it never mattered)

Zapdos attempts to zap Hydreigon with an impressive lightning bolt, but Marowak's bone draw and neutralize it. Eclipse roars proudly and smashes the foe with sharpened appendages, while her team mate Willow taps into sun rays to recover forces. One of the Tynamos keeps harassing him, though, while the other goes on Gaia Crush. Chuck Norris keeps the offense going as well and slams into the legendary bird again, while the Marowak launches rocks around, hitting not only the main opponent, but the two little eels as well. The bigger ones instead dash over the Pyroak, leaving him seriously injured.

Zapdos tries again to electrocute the dragon, but Marowak intervenes again. Eclipse emits then a seething fire, which not only shatters the lightning shield at last, but also leave the legendary bird severely burned! The Tynamos keep annoying the Pyroak and the Marowak, respectively, but Willow does not care and scorches one of those meddlesome Eelektriks with an intense fire. Chuck Norris helps the Pyroak as well, while Gaia Crush causes another slide which, aside from the two poor Tynamos, this time wounds the Eelektrik too. The two thunder eels, though, finish Willow, knocking him out - and also strike fairly hard Machamp.

Not looking very well...but we still have a shot!

Midnight, use chill to get some energy back, then use Earth Power on the Eelektrik with the lowest HP! Earth Power hits Levitators, so we're all good.

Sorry but nearly three days of inactivity after a warning I gave before is too much.

Smashlloyd20 has gone past the 2 days DQ (for the second time, actually), hence forth he is disqualified and the raid ends. Each trainer gets 2 EC/4 MC/2 DC for each of their Pokémon, plus 3 KO to use as TC or distribute among participating Pokémon, 1 VC and the Glyph previously earnt.

Darkslay may challenge again the Raid Zone whenever he wishes, but Smashlloyd20 will have to wait 5 days
