Villager and Wii Fit Trainer? Smash has included goofy characters before, but this seems way goofier.

I think the big issue that people have with the WFT (and, personally, I have the same issue with the AC Villager) is that she's a nameless, faceless character that really has no business getting the same "all-star" treatment as the other big-name characters.

Granted, they already used Mr. Game & Watch (which is most likely just a name they made up for him to include him in Melee), so it's not exactly like nameless, faceless character is a new thing for Smash. But at the same time, Game & Watch at least had some history to him. Trainer (and Villager, tbh) don't exactly have the history to even attempt to justify their inclusion in spite of their faceless-ness.
 
Villager is a perfect inclusion IMO. Wii Fit Trainer is kind of goofy but if we're looking at a similar total for the roster that we had in Brawl (35-40, no more than 40 hopefully) than I don't think it'll be a problem. She's arguably less gimmicky than Roy was, he was only in Melee as an advertisement for his game. And as much as I loved Wolf, I'd rather have a left field character like this one over more clones.

As a guy who has bitched about every crossover roster since MvC3, lamenting the downfall of crossovers games as fanservice and their rise as devservice, I gotta say, I have no problem with the Wii Fit Trainer. It was a very important and talked about game for Nintendo, and given the tone of the series we get a new goofy fun character to mess around with. It'd be different if the rest of the roster sucked, but given that we just got Megaman and the Villager, I don't see the problem.
 
All I want from smash, ALL I WANT, IS FOR IKE TO STILL BE THERE. DON'T FUCK WITH ME NINTENDO, DON'T DO IT.

I mean why not have Chrom (shitty Ike), Marth with a lucina costume, and Ike.

And the Black Knight, damn I still want him. (0.01% chance of inclusion).


Maybe a spellcaster from FE as well... hmm, you know what? The smash roster should just be FE characters. SUPER SMASH BROTHERS FIRE EMBLEM LETS GO.

Depends if Megaman's A-Mega Buster is absorbable. Even if it is, you'll just see A -> Smash A because the Smash A will easily overpower the regular buster and Villager can only hold one projectile at once. Megaman also has Smash Attacks that aren't really "projectiles" per say like Down Smash.
