I listen to a local station that plays techno and electro music a lot, I like rock but I also find myself into this genre as well. Tiesto is great, Basshunter is pretty good as well. I also really like Daft Punk, Gaga, Darude, and a bunch of euro stuff too.

I LOVE techno on my ipod i have

Daft punk

Axel F (lol)

pendulum

and a lot of euro pop like numa numa and im blue

eurodance, pop techno and club music in general are trash. ambient techno is excellent, although maybe a bit dated. i highly recommend aphex twin, autechre, gas, global communication, orbital and boards of canada.

VKCA

(Virtual Circus Kareoky Act)
Ratatat is what really introduced me to electro/techno but a lot of their music really sounds the same, which isn't really all bad but it starts getting a little repetitive after a while. I really liked electro, but never really found all that much. All I have on my ipod currently is justice, daft punk, gorrilaz, and fatboy slim. I guess gorrilaz isn't really all that electro-y besides dare and a couple of other songs.

all i ever wanted is shit OP. Dota, the real version is so much better its not even comparable.

Some other good electric bands are justice (REALLY GOOD), ratatat, and digitalism

i'm totally digging glitchy shit right now.

Clark
Telefon Tel Aviv
Flying Lotus
Tobacco

et cetera et cetera...

I've been totally in love with Deadmau5 and I actually saw him in concert which blew my mind.

Everyone else suggested looks good

I have a few others I wanna throw out there:

Pretty Lights: new guy out of Boulder/Denver area that I'm in. Seen him twice now, and he throws it down. Not even sure how to classify his stuff. Its like Dub, House and Remixes all at once. His shit is so dope. You'll have to give him a listen because the description I gave isn't giving him Justice. (bad pun).
Pretty Lights

Discovery: Just found this band a couple days ago. Sounds a lot like MGMT to me which I adore. Pretty experimental
Discovery

New Tiesto Singe: Tiësto feat. Tegan & Sara - Feel It In My Bones: Maybe the weirdest collaboration I could imagine, but honestly its easily on my Top 10 collaborations of all time. This song is so sick and the music video is pretty damn cool too.

I agree matty, those first two songs are very experimental, umm... what can i say, i liked both but since i don't use to listen to these "styles" (to say it in some way cause i wouldn't know how to classify them either) i didn't enjoy them too much. However, Tiesto's single was really nice to hear :)

I wanna throw something now, another Edward Maya's single, this time featuring Eda (i love that voice). I discovered it this afternoon and it has me hooked atm. This guy is being very popular right now.

aphex and gas <3

Surprised nobody has mentioned these yet;

Something everyone can listen to (I hope dubstep counts for the purposes of this thread)

On the more tuneful side;

Venetian Snares - Ongyilkos Vasarnap

Venetian Snares - Szamar Madar

Benga - 26 Basslines

and more Vsnares - Poo Yourself Jason - class.

Venetian Snares is pretty awesome <3

anyway I really dig some electronica, some I don't like at all, though I suppose that's true for all genre's.

I'm not so big knowledge-wise though so the best I can throw down is like...

The Age of Rockets (Glitchy Orchestral Synth-pop), MGMT, used to listen to shitloads of Ratatat but not nearly as much now, Enter Shikari (some of there dancey-er stuff anyway).

I'd like to get into it a bit more but some of it gets so repetitive it's haaard -___-

Also, couldn't help but laugh my ass off at K9Gamers post.

This song is really good, I didn't know the group. I guess I'll check more of their songs later ^

I have some good songs here:

Happy for You, by Edward Maya
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqDyQZ8RbuY

Now You're Gone, by Basshunter (such an awesome song)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgFwiCApH7E

Who wants to be Alone, by Tiesto feat. Nelly Furtado (very good song too)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3mOLJvbBwQ

I can't link to anything at the moment since I'm on my iPod touch, but I'm liking 'Hollywood' and 'Friend in the Field' by Art vs. Science and 'All-Stars' by Grafton Primary. Daft Punk are also pretty good but I don't listen to them much.

You guys need more Aussie dance music, well the songs that appear on our Annual anyway. No offense but the American one isn't even remotely close in terms of quality, and that's the opinion of a lot of people and not just me. Anyway for starters, check out Aston Shuffle, Laidback Luke, Steve Angello, Armin van Buuren, Bloody Beetroots and Calvin Harris and tell me what you think. (ps Tiesto is the best!)

Ei there are a lot of good music here, and a good portion of them are from the '90. Good music.

I agree with you, I have been listening to this genre from a long time ago and those you have listed are very good DJs, though I don't like them all. And Tiesto... what to say, is a master.

Thanks for sharing ;) 009 Sound System has a lot of relaxant music, good backgrounds those.

Lately I have been listening to a group called Akcent, I just discovered it a few weeks ago. And well, they have very good songs, like this two for example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89Welwn2ppc&feature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOem06X3uVo&feature=channel

Also, a few days I got kind of surprised with a song of Chris Brown, this one, maybe because the beat is something different to what he uses to do. But the fact is that the song is completely amazing; the beginning with that part of the old song "Call on Me" fits really here on it.

That stuff Matty posted is pretty cool.

also, some other stuff I love

Justice - Genesis

Pretty much all the stuff rocks, but this is one of their best. Great songs, cant go wrong with justice.

Block Party - Signs - MMMathias Remix
Now the band itself doesn't really count to the stuff posted here, but I suppose this amazing remix does. It's one of my alltime favourites :)

Empire of the Sun - We Are the People - jimmy2sox Remix

Another Remix, and im not quite sure if this qualifies for this topic, but its awesome :). It is quite like MGMT and its a really relaxing tune.

Also, pendulum & MGMT are pretty darn awesome. Hold your colour has to be the best D&B song ever.

Haha I was just about to post some Justice.

If you guys dig Trance then you should check out Planet Shiver, an up-and-coming Korean DJ group.

Planet Shiver - Momentum

For catchier poppier dance music, check out Danish duo Junior Senior. If you don't like this song you don't have a soul!

For more jazzy electronica, check out Japanese FreeTEMPO.

Glad Ratatat and Telefon Tel Aviv have already been mentioned!
