Pet Mod Extreme Reboot (Complete Mod)

24 hours remain, meant to close today but I honestly thought I posted this on Tuesday

Alright, votes are up! The winner this time is... somehow Gravity Monkey, once again. Well congrats on making this a Solomod so far!
Explanations are still a WIP

Sunburn
Effect: The pokemon takes 1.25x damage from moves. Summer pokemon are immune.
Explanation: Sunburns make you hurt when you take damage! A status thats more useful as a secondary effect from moves to apply pressure to bulky mons.

Chill
Effect: The pokemon's speed is halved. Winter pokemon are immune.
Explanation: The twave equivalent.

Curse
Effect: The pokemon loses x/16th of its total health at the end of each turn, x being the amount of turn it's been on the field. Folklore pokemon are immune.
Explanation: The Toxic exquivalent.

Fear
Effect: The pokemon loses a stage in its highest offensive stat at the end of each turn (factors in boosts).
Explanation: The burn stand-in, which also hurts special attackers. It's not particularly useful on pivots but it hurts sweepers a ton.

Poison
Effect
: The pokemon loses 1/8th of its total health at the end of each turn. Man-made pokemon are immune.
Explanation: Normal poison from pokemon. Good status for secondary effects, not so much when inflicted manually.

Sleep
Effect
: The pokemon is prevented from making a move for 2 turns. Night pokemon are immune.
Explanation: This status is still a thing so moves like Yawn and Rest can still exists (rather than Spore and friends).

Tiring day so I'm going to open the next slate tomorrow. Gives you all some time to prepare too.

Alright pinhead, your time is up

Slate 3 - Viable Moves
This is the first slate where everyone can contribute! Almost any move submitted will by and large be accepted by default. There are exceptions to this, though. You cannot submit any moves that create entry hazards, remove entry hazard, or summon field effects similar to weather and terrain. I might add more to that rule over time if there's something I'm missing, but please keep that in mind. That's where Gravity Monkey comes in. Since he won the type chart slate, I'm also going to let him be the only one to make the three things mentioned above.

In addition, please be nice to our coders. There will be a lot to code in this mod, seeing how large of a scale we're going for, and I really don't want to make things harder than they need to be for them. Scoopapa has already said in the past he's going to code this and there might be more people who want to join in once the mod finishes, but I'm allowing him to veto any subs he sees fit if they're going to be too obnoxious to code.

In order to make subs for this slate, you MUST use the Google Sheet linked here as a template to submit moves. Go to File, Make a Copy, and then you will be able to edit it. Make sure you post it in this thread once you're done so I can add them to a main spreadsheet. You're only allowed to submit ten moves max, unless your name is Gravity Monkey, in which case you're allowed to submit ten moves plus the hazards/removal/field effects.

Although if you want to make it more readable for people in this thread, you're free to use the template below, stolen directly from Two-Step 'Mons...
Move Name:
Category: Physical / Special / Status
Type:
Base Power:
Max PP:
Accuracy: %
Effect(s):
Effect Chance: % - if applicable
Attributes: Contact, Biting, Sound, etc.
Reasoning:

I'll give a bit more time to finish these. Feel free to let me know if there are any issues!

Cherry Blossom - Good on slower defensive pokemon.
Sunstroke - Not as high bp in exchange for a high chance to inflict sunburn.
Soul Steal - Stolen from Two Step 'Mons as a healing move that allows less passivity.
Winter Gale - Strong Offense that debuffs the foe with its Chill chance.
Moon Blade - Suppressing Blow resubbed as Moon Blade. No longer competes with Knock Off.
Stone Wall - Offensive way to boost your defense.
Holy Retreat - Flip Turn clone.
Ocean Tide - Defensive option that deals fairly lower damage.
Balance Out - Haze that also affects the user.
Tempest - Gen 1 Hyper Beam but weakened because Storm is a strong offensive typing.

Flavor and competitive viability for all:

Time Bomb:
Flavor: The user plants a time bomb into the ground. Some time later, it explodes on the opposing Pokemon. (this sounds more like a grenade but whatever)
Competitive Use: hey look, it's physical future sight! since most of manmade's type chart is mosty neutral, however, this is mostly a defensive move, so its basically a slowtwins scenario.
Reindeer Dash:
Flavor: The user bashes into the opponent quickly, like a reindeer.
Competitive Use: winter is a strong offensive type, and priority is cool too, so combining the two seems like a really bad idea, right? well probably not since it has 40 bp and only 95% acc. a nice offensive priority move, but has its weak points
Borealis:
Flavor: An aurora borealis appears, causing sympathy for the user, healing them. Due to the night sky, the user's Sunburn is cured as well.
Competitive Use: i like the sky type, it's a pretty interesting defensive type overall. since sunburn is a problematic status as well, i decided to make a move that healed this status condition.
Harvestation:
Flavor: The user "harvests" the opponent, healing off of their fluids.
Competitive Use: an interesting defensive move for the autumn type. basically horn leech tho lol
Nightmare:
Flavor: The user gives the opponent a nightmare, which makes them wake up out of fear.
Competitive Use: fear is an annoying status (which is also the reason why i made this move have 85 acc), so i am only designing 1 move for it. this trades not moving at all to lowering attacking stats to make a move that can annoy people, but then again, we've got 85 acc, take it or leave it.
Meditation:
Flavor: The user gets the opponent to relax, removing their Curse and Fear statuses, but they become too sleepy.
Competitive Use: the counterpart of nightmare that removes fear and gives sleep, because fear is an annoying status and i'm sure a lot of you agree.
Wave Splash:
Flavor: The user splashes a wave onto the opponent that might lower their SpA.
Competitive Use: scald, but lowers spa. lmao!
Pollinate:
Flavor: The user sucks up the fluids of the opponent like a bee, which slowly hurts them over time.
Competitive Use: spring is a funny defensive type, and chip damage is also fun, which is cool :psysly:
Heat Stroke:
Flavor: The user heats up the arena, which may give the opposing Pokemon Sunburn.
Competitive Use: strong attacking offensive move, and coupled with sunburn, this move can be a true wallbreaking force
Golem Throw:
Flavor: The user throws the opponent up high, which damages them.
Competitive Use: it's seismic toss. lmao!

  • Earthquake: special earthquake
  • Coral Cover: spiky shield
  • Blasphemy: wild move, kinda like a delayed explosion that can be used for mixups (be very careful when distributing this, no mons with damaging pivoting, also the dying effect carries over with baton pass or clones if one gets added)
  • Sky Split: idk if weathers will exist, but a strong physical sky move nonetheless
  • Lingering Spirit: torment is underutilized
  • Erupt: torment is underutilized pt 2
  • Random Repurpose: janky setup move that can counter intimidate clones
  • Shooting Star: priority move that has advantage on protect clones
  • Petrify: a resub from EXTREME ROULETTE, give it to earth types and some spooky folklore mons
  • Tailwind: doubles the user's speed without bringing back the field effect

CHANGES:
  • Erupt 130 -> 110 BP
  • Shooting Star renamed to Speeding Star
  • Reverse Time -> Blasphemy

Name: Restart
Power: -
Accuracy: -
PP: 10 (16 Max)
Category:
Status.png

Type: Manmade
Visual: User reboots itself.
Effect: Heals the user by 25%, resets the users' negative stat changes to 0, and clears any of the users' status conditions.
Priority: 0
Justification: Gravity Monkey mentioned that some man-made moves will have interactions with their creator, and restarting is one of the main ways to fix up a malfunctioning machine/robot.

Name: Creep Claw
Power: 80
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 15 (24 max)
Category:
Physical.png

Type: Night
Visual: User morphs its arm/hand/limb into a creepy claw, and slashes the opponent with it.
Effect: 10% chance to afflict fear.
Priority: 0

Justification: The feeling of a creepy claw on you is very unsettling, hence why it can create fear for the target. A good reliable physical stab for night types.

Visual: User violently tosses the target, leaving the attacker vulnerable.
Base Power: 120
Max PP: 10 (16 max)

Base Power: 100
Max PP: 8
Accuracy: 85%
Effect(s): Traps the target for 5 turns, and deals 1/8 of their max hp every turn.

Reasoning: A powerful stall breaking tool like magma storm that should have limited distribution. Higher accuracy due to serenity type being able to completely negate this and contact.

Move Name: Underhanded blow
Category:
Physical.png

Type: Night
Base Power: 65
Max PP: 16
Accuracy: 100%
Visual: User strikes the target with a ruthless blow.
Effect(s): Power doubles if the target has a status aliment.

Move Name: Wash Away
Category:
Special.png

Type: Sea
Base Power: 60
Max PP: 16
Accuracy: 90%
Visual: User sends a flood of water to wash the target away.

Type: Earth
Base Power: 100
Max PP: 16
Accuracy: 100%
Visual: User slams an explosive mud-filled coconut on the target, which hurts the user a little.
Effect(s): Deals 1.5x damage when gravity is active. User takes 1/4 damage as recoil.
Attributes: Deals 1/4 damage to the Pokémon next to the target Pokémon, like flame burst.
Description: Powerful Earth physical stab, that shouldn't have as much distribution as earthquake and should be reserved for tree Pokémon. Also, this is gravity nukes.

Move Name: Ghostly Howl
Category:
Special.png

Type: Folklore
Base Power: 85
Max PP: 24
Accuracy: 100%
Visual: User sends out a powerful haunting scream.
Effect(s): N/A
Attributes: Sound, Hits all adjacent Pokémon
Description: Reliable folklore stab, with no secondary effect.

Do the type's roles have to strictly obey what Gravity Monkey wanted them to be? Gravity Monkey may want Manmade to be a support-ish type, but I personally just want to give them strong neutral attacks like Dragon with machine guns and shit

No, ideally we're all loose with those archetypes. You can definitely have a type that sways more towards supportive play and give it a strong attacking move as well. Ideally, though, we don't get anything that'd singlehandedly ruin the concept, like if Manmade were to get a Geomancy clone for example.

I'll attach my moves in a PDF I hope that's acceptable I think you can convert them back to sheets

Sorry for the inconvenience

Before click the link, I would recommend you to take a deep breath, then read the fifth move's name. That's all.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...vnmA3Yj4z_SYWyp_DtP2BvcVMvk/edit?usp=drivesdk

I guess I'm gonna short review on my own moves here.
Solar Flare: basically retyped Overheat.
Chaos Moon: As Storm is a good offensive type, it's gonna be a good moves for offensive Night Pokemon.
: Folklore, Man-Made, Spring, Storm
: Autumn, Sea, Sky, Summer, Winter
0.5×: Earth, Night
: Serenity
Sharpen: Look, It's SD now. VoolPool stolen it, so now it's Physical Tail Glow. Beware of the distribution though.
Spectre Smash: Superpower clone with nothing much resisted, but Man-Made immune against.
Submerge: This move should works like Protect, but you know, it's dodge instead of actually protect. Slower Pokemon can also use this as a semi Substitute.
Icy Wind: Nuzzle without hax.
Snow Shuriken: So I decided to give "Nuzzle without hax" to DIB, but I made this instead. It's like Water Shuriken, but also Photon Geyser, and also Winter type.
Mind Cleansing: This move's value is depends on how relevant the Abilities will be, so nothing much to say for now.
Sakura Strike: Self cleric attacking move, probably gonna be a bit situational, but definitely usable.
Swoop: Offensive Sky-type move for fast Pokemon.
Solidify: Setup move for bulky sweeper. Ngl, I expecting someone to do Liquify that's basically QD clone.
And yeah, that's all about it.

Unsure if anyone's already taken these ideas, will go over everyone else's submissions. I'll also add more moves later.
I can't access the spreadsheet :(

Spreadsheet
Growth Power: Special, 85% Acc., 100 BP with 1/3 HP Drain. Provides a defense-oriented move for a defense-oriented type.
Luau Leap: 85 BP, grants a Speed boost on a KO. On the weak side but potentially very dangerous.
Snow Kick: 85% Acc. 100 BP Physical move for one of the strongest offensive types. Has decent split hax chances.
Shroom Fumes: Dual status-inducing 90 BP move, but with 80% acc. Geared towards defensive Autumn types.
Dormant Power: Weaker Future Sight with a longer delay. Doesn't hit while a Winter type is on the field.
Zen Power: 80% Acc. 110 BP attack with 25% Atk drop chance. Overall the hax chances are both 20%.
Iron Bash: Underwhelming move for a type that's supposed to have limited STAB options.
North Wind: 30% Status move for a defensive type.
Starlight Crash: A physical STAB move for star-oriented pokemon
Headwind: Straightforward pivoting move.
