flash games - mark 2

I wasn't much of a fan of Canabalt to begin with. *shrug* Something about random impossibilities ruining what was becoming a great run...

i don't know why but this game really freaks me out

maybe it's the whole concept of robot unicorns

maybe it's the music

or maybe it's the fact that whenever you crash against something you see a decapitated unicorn head crying

this game looks good but canabalt is definitely more fluid

I'm not sure if it's been posted before, but wow.

Basically, the idea is to infect a town/city/whatever with zombies and watch them spread. The virus is upgradable, and there are special unlockable zombies (such as the Tank and the Boomer from the Left 4 Dead series.)

EDIT: I should point out that destroying the towns (killing everyone) rather than merely passing them is the way to get ahead. This also becomes easier if you upgrade the virus itself rather than buying bombs. (However, buying additional clicks/upgrading the spread when you can afford it is highly recommended.)

EDIT 2: It's really up to you in regards to destroying the towns for how easy you want to make the game. You don't have to destroy every town; it's probably better that way in order to keep the game interesting.

dammit sgt_woodsy that game is so addicting. i just spent the last two hours playing...

also i've found that buying the extra virus clicks early was super helpful. the best upgrades i've found are probably infection rate and speed (and eventually damage resistance), but once you get those high enough you can just upgrade the secret zombies

Gerry's Quest is a game that tries to bring the exalted, epic soul of classical literature into video games! Gerry's Quest is a game where your ideas and choices have real-world consequences! Gerry's Quest is a game that challenges the player to act in accordance with the ideals of the ancients! Do you dare battle against the forces of vampirism, socialism, and fiat currency? Will you rise against the enemies of freedom, or doom the world to the horrors of collectivism? Only you can decide!

SPECIAL NOTE:
This game is more of a 'choose-your-own-adventur e' dealy than an actual game. If you are unsure of what to do, try clicking. Keep clicking. Never stop clicking.

The funniest shit I've ever played. Ever.

Primary

Platformer puzzle where you change basic colors, and with it, abilities. You can turn red and shoot flames, turn yellow and become invisible, or turn blue and make ice cubes.

The main pros for me are:
- autosaves
- great music and voice acting
- helpful tutorial

But what puts me off a bit is that the controls are not customizable, but instead locked to WASD, with a random space bar thrown in. Nothing is perfect.

I beat that game recently, and although I had fun, my main gripe is when you have to continuously wall jump up a long hall, the controls are really annoying.

Some other newground games:

This is the only level - One level, but it is different each time, gets you think a bit and is really fun.

Acheivment Unlocked - Just like the previous game, this is different than usual. Instead of trying to beat a final boss or get to the end of the level, your goal is to unlock all 100 achievements. For people who prefer getting achievements instead of beating the game.

Updgrade Complete - In this game, you can upgrade everything. The main screen, the music, the menu, everything is upgradeable. It's really simple and easy to beat, but the concept is so fun as well that one playthrough will be fun.

I spent 3 hours playing this game. 3 continuous hours.

Needless to say I beat it. I GUESS it was fun since...?

help which thread do I post this in.

I am slowly getting addicted to this.

The concept is simple: it's like Tanks, but online. But it is just so damn fun to play, and the different weapons allow for a lot of different strategies.

These are all pretty horrible.

Try Sonny 2: http://armorgames.com/play/2900/sonny-2
Of course this is a game which has actual strategy involved, it's pretty fun. It is probably the best flash RPG/Adventure game out there.

well they are more conceptually different and fun games but i can see why you would want to stick to a mainstream rpg concept that has been done over and over o_______o

the best flash rpg ive played is talesworth arena

i don't get the sonny hype at all, personally

if it's just because it is huge for a flash game and has v/aing and stuff then like "yeah" that's impressive, but it's not good voice-acting, the combat system is terrible and it looks worse than most acclaimed flash rpgs i've played

edit: why is this thread in firebot and not internet renaissance
