You know, I'm wondering who that "boy" is. I highly doubt it's Ramsay or Reek, since Reek is supposed to look god awful and smell like his name sake.

The final scene was absolutely excellent, really glad they did that one well.

Also what are peoples thoughts on Dany selling a dragon???
 
Nothing. It's painfully obvious that she's not actually going to leave the dragon there. I'm just curious as to how she plans to retrieve it tbh.
 
I just finished watching the new episode, I was quite pleased with how the episode turned out. The closing scene was hands down the best scene in the episode, I'm sure Jaime can attest to that statement. As a book reader, I didn't like the Stannis scene where they made him to be clingy which really deviates from his in-book persona. Maybe I missing something so a bit of clarity would be nice. Let's be honest here, Theon has just terrible luck. He goes from fingerblasting his sister, to getting captured and tortured, then to nearly getting raped into the dirt.

Lastly, I really liked the producers included the "Rhaegar fought valiantly, Rhaegar fought nobly, Rhaegar fought bravely. And Rhaegar died."


Edit: I forgot to mention the council meeting really showed a lot about the characters. Littlefinger made the effort to cut in front of Varys to be closer to Tywin as kiss up to him. Cersei moved her chair to next to Tywin as "daddy's little girl." While Tyrion just nonchalantly moves his chair to waste everyones time. Also made for a good laugh to see the expressions of each character which was perfect.
 
I wonder how they'll handle the "Mereenese knot" in the TV series. Daenerys' story arc kinda drags on in the books, and unless there's some really great twist in the next book, it's hard to see how her struggle is at all relevant to the battle for the Iron Throne (except from, you know, keeping her away from it). I don't know what you other book readers think, but at the end, I was mentally screaming "Just leave the damn place already!"

Oh, and I look forward to the weddings. To my knowledge, there has been exactly one happy wedding in the book series to date, and that was between two tertiary characters. All the others have been miserable to various degrees.

Pretty sure she's going to order the army to kill everyone and take back her dragon. Its like a double play, gets the army + soldiers love her for freeing them

A dragon is not a slave, and doesn't really appreciate being sold...
 
Prediction from a non-reader: I'm guessing the dragons are going to burn the city after Dany leaves and then fly back to her. I'm also guessing Dany knows this and asking for the largest dragon was probably the nail in the coffin.
That was probably the best episode of the season so far, which doesn't say much since its the third episode, but yeah. I was pretty disappointed with last week's show but this one was great.
 
Did anyone else feel the episode was a bit short?

Anyway, Dany owns, Jaime literally drank piss and ate shit (which despite being so fucking deserved, still made me feel bad for the guy), and Varys is fucking crazy. Dragons rule.

Overall, amazing episode.

I've also begun reading the books. I'm about 1/3 of the way through book 1 and at the pace I'm going I'll probably finish book 4 before this season ends lol.
 
What a beast Dany is man, good show. I can't believe how strong all the scenes were, it definitely felt shorter to me!

Also Varys has just moved up on the ladder of badass

Also, I thought it was hilarious how the characters continued to discuss how the whores were so impressed by the young lad and what the secret is to his swag.

As a book reader, I'm glad they did that scene justice. It was so fucking intense, and that remix of Daenery's them was the icing on the cake.

10/10 best episode ending imo
 
Yeah that scene was everything i expected and more. The Valyrian speech was incredibly intense, and the Unsullied are portrayed really really well.

I also thought the scene at Crasters Keep was great, obviously not great for the nights watch but yeah.
 
I haven't watched the latest episode yet but that's the scene I was looking forward to most so I can't wait to catch up :)
 
The 3rd episode was amazing. The 4th is even more amazing. This season keeps getting better and better.

The whole dragon being sold matter was predictable, but it was an awesome scene nonetheless.

And even though I hate Jaime and think that he deserves everything that's happening to him, I kind of pity him now after literally drinking piss, eating shit, and getting his sword hand cut. Still, it's well-deserved. I just pity him a little bit. :p
 
This episode was fucking amazing. I think the best scene was, hands down, the Jamie and Brienne backstory scene in the bath. The tense in Jamie's voice, the expression on Brienne's face. Very well made. Other scenes were awesome like the sword fight in the start and Karstark's execution. Also, I'm very glad they did the make up for the Greyscale on Shireen Baratheon. Shireen is one of my favorite small story characters in the book, and so far, she's adorable.

As a book reader, I'm super glad they're doing the scenes justice.

They hit the last three out of the park imo everything is so tense and I swear to god if shit goes bad for the King of the North over this whole traitor thing im gonna flip
 
yeah jamie is becoming one of my favourite characters now. I can see his character changing into much less of a dick now that he's lost his hand. Maybe it's temporary while he's depressed/imprisoned but if he makes it out of this with his life (which I reckon he will because cutting off his hand has given his character huge room for development) I think he'll be much different to the Jamie we saw in the first episode.

This season is amazing.
