GameStop Deoxys

The first place my brother stopped at did have the device yet ; they were expecting it some time this afternoon. The second one apparently doesn't even intend to do this event until next weekend.
So, there are some stores that aren't ready for this event, for sure. I'm not off work so I haven't been affected yet, but if the end of my work day comes and they still don't have it then I'll have to start calling around. There's possibly a half dozen other locations in the area.
I plan to pick both of mine up tomorrow with a friend. I already talked with some of my other friends who went earlier this morning, and they had it all set up and running by 10am. Since the store is open nearly 24 hours, they'll be broadcasting it always, with range long enough to go across the street apparently, which means I don't have to leave my car.
That's nice to know. Now I don't have to be the 20-year-old Pokemon creeper like I was in TRU.

I had the same problem. Between that and the cashier trying to convince me that Etrian Odyssey II was a sequel to Lost Odyssey, they've lost a bit of respect. :/
I just came back from the gamestop in the area that I am currently in. This game stop didnt get the cards for deoxys so I cant get one.
Mine couldn't either but I fixed it. I told them receive via wireless not from a friend. I was like the first one there.
also note that most EBs are owned by gamestop, as are any funcolands left (lol, i think the one by my house is the only one left) so call those as well.
Also of note if you are a wimp and don't want to be caught holding your DS (or if you are scared of being mugged??), the fastest way to get the event is to just turn the DS on and let it idle on the title screen. if you do not yet have mystery gift it will enable it automatically for you when you get in range, and the ds will be in sleep mode not wasting battery life.
Of other note, around event times, I will often let people send their game carts to me to get the event on. This is only valid for people who have the correct cartridges (is the EU english the same as NA english, anyone?), so if you want a deoxys real bad for yourself (and don't just want one over wifi) you can PM me and we can discuss this further.
Getting one from wifi would probably be a much more pratical approach then mailing you their cartrige. Especially if they live overseas or out of country. XD
Yami, are you sure just letting your DS idle will help? When I downloaded mine I was asked to confirm it. So I think you'd have to take your DS out anyways.

Hey, i know that it says bring diamond and pearl, but does anybody know if it would be able to work in ruby/sapphire and in leaf/red. i want all 3 forms of it. if anyone can try this out and give some feedback that would be nice.
Yes you still have to pick it up and so forth but it'll save you about a minute of time waiting for the dumb title screen.
And yea, wifi is a billion times safer and faster, but people may want to reset for their own instead of get a random one. I would still prefer to give them out over wifi, of course, but I offer the option and have had people take it up in the past (mostly for the TRU manaphy.)

I went to gamestop awhile ago and got my mystery gift from space in my pearl game. Here's what I know now: I can go to the participating Gamestop, turn on my DS and go to mystery gift. It also said I could go to any pokemart, so it appears that when I do bring my diamond version which still has the wondercard for darkrai, I can go to other marts for deoxys while I should still go to hearthome hopefully. What I wonder is whether it's the same form of deoxys at every store being the neutral one that would be palparked from ruby/sapphire. Perhaps I'll try going to different marts to see whether that's true or not. Can anybody else confirm?
One thing I just noticed with standard deoxys is that it cannot learn superpower nor ice punch so the Smogon recommended movesets which all have superpower in them cannot be used.
