He said he *wants* a Celebi Event, not that there *is* one.

Now, I agree, that sort of event would be nice, but I'll also admit that I don't desire it nearly so much as this Deoxys Event, the future Shaymin Event, and the expected future Arceus Event.

(Then again, I've got a Celebi Bonus Disc, already used it once, and I might be willing to play through my Japanese Emerald over and over until I obtain an okay Celebi.)

You should, a lot of people would pay a lot for a good Celebi...Speaking of which, where did you get the Celebi Bonus disk?

Anyways, has there been any confirmation about this deoxys event yet?

Family bought it off of Yahoo Japan's Auction site. They were able to pull it off for a few reasons:

-My brother's fiancee is Japanese, IE able to navigate the site
-Her family lives in Japan so local shipping wasn't a problem
-"Ridiculous" cost wasn't an issue (some people might scoff at such a small disc costing $70+)
 
Is it possible to send a mystery gift to yourself? I have pearl and diamond both with the darkrai from toy's r us, both with crappy natures and I saved before I knew I could sr a good one. Am I stuck or is there something I can do that you guys know about?
 
Talk to the guy at the poke mart, check the pokemon's IVs, press L + R + Start + Select if it's bad, and repeat.
 
Is it possible for the Deoxys or Darkrai from the events to be shiny? I've heard from multiple people that you can only reset for natures and IVs, but not shininess.

Would Gold Ursaring know?
 
I believe the Darkrai coding proved that SR'ing a shiny one is impossible.

Not sure about the Deoxys event as no one has the data yet (but it's very similiar to the one in Japan, so you could ask around about that?)
 
See, that's what a lot of people have said - "The coding proves it's impossible"

I'd like to know where exactly you found this out. It's not that I don't believe you...it's just that I don't want to believe you.

If it isn't, oh well, guess I'll just settle for a good IV'd one. Same goes for Deoxys.
 
Aw man... gamestop? lol, I don't think those are in Canada. Sad... I REALLY wanted a good Deoxys that was legit...

Ah well. I still need to SR for a good Timid Manaphy anyways...

EDIT: Though, EB games is owned by Gamestop... would that count? PLEASE GOD make it count... I live in Toronto, there's like 10 here lol

It's a time saver. Shutting off the ds, then turning it back on afterward will still leave you in front of the pokemart delivery guy, allowing you to get the pokemon still. Soft resetting is just a MUCH faster, and convienient way...
