Pet Mod [Gen 1] FutureProofing (Complete)

Dark: Parting Shot, Brutal Swing
Steel: Autotomize (this is how you spell it, I checked), King’s Shield
Fairy: Fairy Lock, Aromatic Mist

Voting is now over! Let's see the results!
Dark:
Fiery Wrath - 2 + 2 = 4 (Tiebreaker via first-place votes)
Brutal Swing - 1 + 1 = 2
Parting Shot - 1 + 2 + 1 = 4

Steel:
Smart Strike - 2 + 2 = 4 (Tiebreaker via first-place votes)
Autotomize - 1 + 2 + 1 = 4
King's Shield - 1 + 1 = 2

Fairy:
Fairy Lock - 2 + 2
(Tiebreaker via first-place votes)
Aromatic Mist - 1 + 1 + 2 = 4
Spirit Break - 1 = 1
Moonlight - 1 = 1

Welcome Fiery Wrath, Smart Strike, and Fairy Lock to the mod!

Move: Fiery Wrath
Type:

Power: --
Accuracy: 90%
PP: 15
Effect: Burns the foe
Distribution::moltres::arcanine::ninetales::gardevoir::spiritomb::charizard::rapidash::magmar::weezing::whimsicott::mew: (:gengar:?)
Justification: Burn is pretty awful in Gen 1, so having a move that just does that is pretty unimpressive, but burn still has some merit, notably neutering Tauros in case a lot of your team gets paralyzed, which makes it absolutely certain that it can't clean up, and being able to burn physical attackers that are immune to Thunder Wave or don't care about being slower like Steelix, Rhydon, and Snorlax. Just be careful using it so you don't accidentally burn a Chansey
Move: Smart Strike
Type: Ground
Power: 70
Accuracy: 100
PP: 16
Effect: High critical hit ratio
Distribution: :fearow: :rhyhorn: :beedrill: :sandshrew: :nidoqueen: :nidoran-m: :rapidash: :seel: :onix: :goldeen: :lapras: :karrablast:
Justification: Drill Run seems cool here.
Move: Fairy Lock
Type:

Power: 15
Accuracy: 70
PP: 15
Effect: Wrap clone
Distribution::wigglytuff::clefable::alcremie::golduck: + others
Justification: Look, I'm very short on time, so here's slightly more partial trapping distribution. Psychic gives it the best coverage type of the partial trapping moves, but it's doing 0 damage anyways so it's not that big. Clefable and Wigglytuff can both use it to great effect combined with Hyper Beam or Fake Tears + Blizzard
Now, we'll enter a 24 hour discussion phase to decide the final distributions of the new moves, then we'll start the next Pokémon slate! See you then!

- Pokémon Slate 6 -

This slate is a Pokemon Slate, where you can add any future gen Dark, Steel, and Fairy-type Pokémon to the metagame!
Rules (Also on the OP)
- During Pokemon slates, you will sub any future generation Dark, Steel, or Fairy-type Pokemon and adapt it into a Gen 1 environment by changing their typing, stats, and movepool.
- You are allowed to sub 1 Pokemon of each type during the slate. You must specify which voting category your Pokemon fits into (as denoted on the submission template below), which covers for cases like Bisharp or Grimmsnarl, who have multiple future typings.
- When subbing Pokemon, you will change their typing (obviously), as well as their stats and movepools. Movepools are based on their current generation movepools, automatically including any move they learn that exists in Gen 1 + any moves added to the mod through Move Slates that they already learn (keep this in mind if you sub anything that learns Snarl, Steel Wing, or Strange Steam).
- Pokemon subs can be vetoed if they are broken, so try to stay in OU's power level. This especially important for Slate 1 as we don't want to change the power level of the metagame that much so early.
- Eligible Pokemon from Legends: Arceus can be submitted, including Qwilfish-Hisui, Overqwil, Sliggo-Hisui, Goodra-Hisui, and Enamorus.
- Future Gen Pokemon who have a Mega Evolution that give them one of the eligible types are allowed to be subbed as their base form. This allows you to sub Altaria and Audino as Fairies.
- To decide what gets added to the metagame, we'll use a non-ranked vote. Whichever sub gets the most votes in each category will win and get added to the metagame, giving us ~3 new Pokemon each slate and ~30 new Pokemon throughout the mod.
- Any prevolutions of the Pokemon you sub that win will automatically be added. Their stats, typing, and movepools will be decided by council based on your winning sub, so you do not have to include these with your submission.
- Submissions for Pokemon slates last 5 days, with 1 day of voting and 1 day of a discussion phase

Pokémon: (The name of the Pokemon you're submitting. It must be an existing Pokemon from a future generation)
Category: (The category you're submitting to, being either Dark, Steel, or Fairy. It must be one of the typings it has in the current generation)
New Type: (The type of the Pokemon you're submitting. You can only use the types that exist in Gen 1)
Stats: (The stats of the Pokemon. Remember that Gen 1 only has 5 stats because Special Attack and Special Defense are the same stat.)
New Moves: (Any new moves you're giving to the Pokemon you're submitting. Remember that the Pokemon's base movepool is based on what moves it currently learns that exist in Gen 1. To find a Pokemon's base movepool, use the command /ms [pokemon], gen1, natdex, all in any Showdown chat)
Removed Moves: (Any moves you're removing from the Pokemon's base movepool. Remember that the Pokemon's base movepool is based on what moves it currently learns that exist in Gen 1, use the command /ms [pokemon], gen1, natdex, all in any Showdown chat)

Category: Fairy
New Type: Grass/Psychic
Stats: 51/52/90/96/100 [389]
New Moves: Fairy Lock, Psychic, Hypnosis, Lash Out
Removed Moves: Amnesia
Competitive Overview: We have a collection of grasses, but Comfey stands out due to its lack of powder options (needing the unreliable Hypnosis to inflict status) and instead acts as a Wrap pivot. Plays a bit like a hybrid of Pendraken and Tangrowth in KEP, which are some pretty awesome mons.

Bind, Double Team, Growth, Hyper Beam, Leech Seed, Light Screen, Petal Dance, Rest, Solar Beam, Substitute, Toxic, Vine Whip, Wrap \ Fairy Lock, Psychic, Hypnosis, Lash Out

Competitive Overview: WIP (Physical Poliwrath. Hits hard physically with Submission and Smart Strike while having decent enough Special for Hydro Pump and Blizzard, and can SD too. Still too slow to mow down everything without serious para support)

:dp/empoleon:
Pokémon: Empoleon
Category: Steel
New Type:

Stats: 84/86/88/101/66
Movepool: Agility, Bide, Blizzard, Bubble, Bubble Beam, Cut, Dig, Double Team, Drill Peck, Earthquake, Fury Attack, Growl, Headbutt, Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Mist, Peck, Pound, Rest, Roar, Rock Slide, Sing, Strength, Substitute, Supersonic, Surf, Tackle, Toxic, Steel Wing, Double-Edge

Movepool: Blizzard, Bubble Beam, Double Slap, Double Team, Growl, Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Light Screen, Pound, Psychic, Reflect, Rest, Sing, Substitute, Surf, Toxic, Water Gun, Crafty Shield, Lash Out
Competitive Overview: WIP (stronger version of lapras but less bulk and 0 way of getting through Chansey. Lash Out mimics Energy Ball from later gens + it could throw a mean hair whip)

:swsh/crawdaunt:
Pokémon: Crawdaunt
Category: Dark
Typing: Water
Stats: 55 HP / 120 Atk / 105 Def / 70 Spc / 85 Spe (505 BST)
Movepool Changes: - Later Gens + Earthquake
Competitive Overview: Basically better Kingler lol. Sacrifices some physical stats for an existing Spc for Crabhammer and a higher Speed to pull it off as well as Slash shenanigans. Expect sets like SD, Slash, EQ, and Crabhammer. Physical water mons are funny in general, but even more so before the type splits.

Resub moment lol
:swsh/lucario:
Pokémon: Lucario
Category: Steel
New Type: Fighting / Normal
Stats:
70 HP / 110 Atk / 70 Def / 80 Spc / 90 Spe (500 BST)
New Moves: N/A
Removed Moves: Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Swords Dance, Later Gens
Competitive Overview: For the longest time it rubbed me the wrong way that Lucario had a Special signature move yet had a higher Attack than Special Attack. However, the return to a physical special split, the elimination of Aura Sphere, and the drop in mon count allows for a unique set. The fighting type is a bit underwhelming in gen 1, but the STAB Hyper Beam and Body Slam paralysis immunity can serve quite useful.

Time to follow through on this (hopefully)
:swsh/klefki:
Pokémon: Klefki
Category: Fairy
New Type: Rock / Ghost
Stats:
82 HP / 100 Atk / 100 Def / 74 Spc / 90 Spe (520 BST)
New Moves: Confuse Ray, Lick, Snarl, Rock Slide, Rock Throw, Wrap
Removed Moves: later gens, Psychic
Competitive Overview: Big physical Mon that certainly feels like a Gen 1 Ghost type. Enjoy working with the limited offensive movepool, or don’t I’m not a cop lmao

New Type: Grass / Ground
Stats: 70 / 120 / 115 / 90 / 90 / 75 {BST: 560}
Movepool: Toxic, Hyper Beam, Substitute, Toxic, Double Team, Absorb, Bide, Double Edge, Earthquake, Horn Attack, Leech Seed, Light Screen, Mega Drain, Petal Dance, Razor Leaf, Reflect, Rock Slide, Skull Bash, Submission, Swords Dance, Whirlwind
Competitive Overview: Bulky attacker that resists other Grounds, has quite a lot of coverage and can outspeed some key mons as well, does lack sleep unlike the other Grasses which is the downside to using it though

Well it seems there is space. Despite striking while the iron is cold,
:ss/lucario:
Pokémon : Lucario
Category : Steel
New Type : Dragon / Fighting
New Stats : 60 / 110 / 60 / 115 / 90
Movepool : High Jump Kick, Psychic, Thunder Punch, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Agility, Quick Attack, Hyper Beam, (+) Snarl, (+) Body Slam, (+) Bone Club, (+) Skull Bash, (+) Submission, (-) Earthquake, (-) Rock Slide, (-) Swords Dance (other moves just as is from Gen 1)
Competitive Overview : An endgame cleaner with solid speed, huge physical damage, and amazing special coverage held back by fragile physical defense, being absolutely crippled by paralysis, and having weaknesses to the two main special attacking types of the tier, Psychic and Ice.

I debated for a while what had to be removed from Lucario's movepool to make sure this mon isn't too devastating as a last. I settled on SD, because I'm pretty sure if it did have it, it would make it too unpredictable. But it might not need to lose EQ, mostly being cautious there about beating paralyzed Jolt/ the Ground-weak Ghosts too easily. It could also lose Ice Punch, that would strain its movepool more by forcing Fire Punch for Eggy and Thunder Punch for flying types without just getting both in one slot.

only one fix and its minor so we'll start voting. If the Klefki wins, it will lose Thunder Wave and Snarl (mon is a little too versatile between twave, special drops and partial trapping.

Time 2 vote.

Vote for top 2 in each of your categories. If you made 2 or more subs, you can self vote yourself in first place ONCE.

Competitive Overview: Magneton's concept done kinda right, resub edition. 130 Spc with TBolt and 105 Def with Heavy Slam and TWave all make Magnezone decently tough to switch into, plus it has the option to use Gear Up to really have fun, but it's walled forever by Rhydon (even with Heavy Slam), Steelix, Rest Jolteon, Hydreigon, and Exeggutor. Even Reflect Chansey deals with it if it switches in on TBolt or TWave.

Okay so sub turnout is kinda sad but we make due with what we get.

We will be doing a ranked ballot for all three categories. Vote for them in your preferred order. You cannot self vote first.

Mine:
Dark: Grimmsnarl, Mandibuzz
Steel: Magnezone, Dugtrio-Alola
Fairy: Sylveon, Ribombee, Klefki

This should end in 24 hours but will realistically end when Yoshi or I remember to do so.
