Musharna
Typing: Psychic
Base Stats: 116 / 55 / 85 / 107 / 95 / 29
Abilities: Forewarn / Synchronize / Telepathy

Musharna was known, is known and will be known to eat our dreams. But did you notice how broken this fetus can be in Never Used? Its average defenses coupled with a HP stat reaching 116 makes it a very bulky Pokemon. A 107-Special-Attack base stat is pretty useful, as it hits hard while stalling and only has its Attack and Speed that are awful. Furthermore, Musharna has access to fabulous support moves like Calm Mind, Baton Pass, Reflect, Light Screen and can recover itself with either Moonlight (since Snover was banned, it can abuse it) or Rest with Sleep Talk. Despite Musharna's qualities, it has some weaknesses. The fetus is really hurt by Toxic or Burn and has a poor attacking movepool. Moreover, Musharna fits well with offensive teams, but can shine in others if played correctly.

Cryogonal
645.png

Typing: Ice
Base Stats: 70 HP / 50 Atk / 30 Def / 95 SpA / 135 SpD / 105 Spe
Abilities: Levitate

Cryogonal is probably the best Rapid Spin user in the tier, boasting an attractive base 135 Special Defense, base 105 Speed, and usable base 70 HP. This, combined with Recover, turns Cryogonal into a fine special wall. Cryogonal is only hit neutrally by most special-based attacks, bar Fire-type moves, Focus Blast, and a the rare AncientPower, which means it can wall the majority of the special-based metagame. Thanks to its ability, Levitate, Cryogonal has an immunity to Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Ground-type moves. Furthermore, Crogonal's high Special Attack and Ice-type STAB turn it into an offensive threat as well, dealing a nice amount of damage to anything that doesn't resist it. Finally, Cryogonal is fast for an Ice-type, and it has the opportunity to remove hazards before the opponent can move, and it can restore its health before being KOed.

Miltank
241.png

Typing: Normal
Base Stats: 95 HP / 80 Atk / 105 Def / 40 SpA / 70 SpD / 100 Spe
Abilities: Thick Fat, Scrappy, Sap Sipper

Miltank may seem like another ordinary Normal-type, however, it is makes a surprisingly good tank. Thanks to its high Defense and only a single weakness, Miltank isn't easy to KO with a physical attack. In addition, Miltank has access to nifty support moves, such as Milk Drink, Heal Bell, Stealth Rock, and Thunder Wave. Unlike most defensive Pokemon, Miltank can boast about its base 100 Speed, which enables it to outrun weakened Pokemon, and threaten them with an unavoidable Body Slam or Return, thanks to Scrappy. Miltank's other ability, Thick Fat, helps it take on Fire- and Ice-type opponents, who would otherwise cause problems for it. Sap Sipper isn't Miltank's most useful ability, but if you prefer an immunity to Grass-type moves, it can give Miltank an easier switch-in, and it comes in handy when you have teammates that are weak to Grass-type moves, such as Seismitoad.

591.gif

Typing: Grass / Poison
Base Stats: 114 HP / 85 Atk / 70 Def / 85 SpA / 80 SpD / 30 Spe
Abilities: Effect Spore, Regenerator

To the prospecting NU teambuilder, Amoonguss appears to have little to differenciate itself from the swathes of Grass-types in the tier. However, Amooguss does have access to the exclusive sleep move Spore, which instantly turns Amoonguss into a threat to look out for. With the sleep mechanics introduced in the fifth generation, most Pokemon will find it very difficult to wake up from their slumber. Even after Sleep Clause is activated, Amoonguss can still pull its weight, its decent Special Attack can threaten most frail Pokemon while Clear Smog removes boosts from greedy stat boosters. Amoonguss also has very decent bulk which coupled with its access to support moves such as Stun Spore and Toxic, mean that Amoonguss can continue to support the team even without Spore. If Amoonguss's sprite is seen in Team Preview, then it would be wise to be very careful, lest your Pokemon be, one by one, put into an eternal slumber.

110.png

Weezing
Typing: Poison
Base Stats: 65 HP / 90 Atk / 120 Def / 85 SpA / 70 SpD / 60 Spe
Abilities: Levitate

In the era of DPP, Weezing was a prime defensive threat in UU. However, in BW, it fell down all the way to the NU Tier. Nevertheless, with only one uncommon weakness, great Defensive stats, and a semi-reliable way to heal itself, Weezing is still a great Physical wall. It's key resistances to Bug, Grass, Poison, and most importantly, Fighting types, as well as a Ground immunity thanks to Levitate makes this more obvious. However, Weezing isn't perfect. It has to rely on Pain Split to recover HP, and while this is reliable most of the time, there are times where this is Weezing's downfall. Also, it's Psychic weakness makes is susceptible to Mesprit, a prime threat in the NU Metagame. Don't let that discouage you, as Weezing is still a great Defensive pokemon that should be considered when making a team.

These Pokemon are Done and checked.
Misdreavus / Emboar - Natgeo

Completed Stuff
Emboar
528.png

Typing: Fire / Fighting
Base Stats: 110 HP / 123 Atk / 65 Def / 100 SpA / 65 SpD / 65 Spe
Abilities: Blaze / Reckless (Unreleased)

One of the many Fighting-types in NU, Emboar stands out among them thanks to its Fire STAB and fairly wide movepool. It certainly has the stats to abuse it: base 123 Attack is no laughing matter, allowing it to run physical Choice item sets with ease. Choice Band allows Emboar to serve as a frighteningly powerful wallbreaker, often relying on just Flare Blitz and Superpower. Choice Scarf on the other hand, can work as a dangerous cleaner thanks to its boosted Speed. Flame Charge sets can also be very dangerous unchecked. There is even the possibility of running Choice Specs, thanks to a wide special movepool ranging from Fire Blast to Focus Blast and even Scald to catch unsuspecting Rock-types. Emboar has the potential to be incredible, but you must make sure you realize that it isn't the fastest thing in the world; Scarf sets are still even outsped by Swellow, among other things, allowing the opponent to prey on its only mediocre bulk (There's always Trick Room to take advantage of low Speed though!). Get around that and Emboar will certainly do a world of good for your team.

Misdreavus
200.png

Typing: Ghost
Base Stats: 60 HP / 60 Atk / 60 Def / 85 SpA / 85 SpD / 85 Spe
Abilities: Levitate

Perhaps the best spinblocker in the entire tier, Misdreavus boasts amazing overall bulk thanks to Eviolite. This incredible bulk allows it to function amazingly as a team player, supporting teams by both spreading status with Will-O-Wisp and Toxic as well as curing your team of status thanks to Heal Bell. It even has access to fairly reliable recovery in the form of Pain Split as well, which works great in tandem with its low base HP. Misdreavus is also one of the best counters to the popular Flying- and Fighting-types roaming around the metagame, thanks to its auspicious combination of a Ghost typing and Will-O-Wisp. All this also veils something else: deceptively powerful offensive capabilities. Base 85 Special Attack may not seem like much, but when you throw great bulk as well as access to Calm Mind and even Nasty Plot, Misdreavus can pose quite a threat no matter what it's running.

Got Braviary and Cinccino

Braviary

658.png

Typing: Normal / Flying
Base Stats: 100 HP / 123 Atk / 75 Def / 57 SpA / 75 SpD / 80 Spe
Abilities: Keen Eye / Sheer Force

Braviary is one of the premium Flying-types of NU. Sky-high base 123 Attack, acceptable base 80 Speed, and STAB Brave Bird makes him a threat to reckoned. He gets competition from Swellow, yet another powerful Normal / Flying-type, but his superior bulk and access to Superpower differentiates him from his brethren. Superpower will do considerable damage Probopass and Regirock, something that Swellow wishes it could do. Braviary is most often used as a Choice Scarf user because of his mediocre speed, but he can still 2HKO most of the metagame with Brave Bird alone. U-turn is yet another solid addition to his movepool, allowing him to simultaneously fill scouting and revenging duties. Combined with its decent bulk for such a strong attacker, Braviary is a threat to every team.

Cinccino

603.png

Typing: Normal
Base Stats: 75 HP / 95 Atk / 60 Def / 65 SpA / 60 SpD / 115 Spe
Abilities: Cute Charm / Technician / Skill Link (Unreleased DW)

Cinccino boasts an unusual combination of strong coverage, power, and Speed for a lowly Normal-type. Thanks to Technician, Tail Slap, Rock Blast, and Bullet Seed are deceptively strong, and Bullet Seed will maul common Normal-type counters and physical walls in Golem and Quagsire. Technician Wake-Up Slap does significant damage to Probopass and Bastiodon, while U-turn keeps momentum and allows dangerous sweepers such as Gorebyss to match up with Regirock and other Rock-type Pokemon. Of course, Technician and STAB Tail Slap will destroy anything without defensive investment. The fact that Cinccino is outsped only by Swellow is another plus, and it can easily blast through hyper-offensive teams. Cinccino is almost impossible to wall in a conventional manner, and it is a strong threat despite the fact that it essentially has five viable moves and is incredibly predictable.

Reserving Victreebel and Amoonguss

Emboar

Magmortar
472.png

Typing: Fire
Base Stats: 75 HP / 95 Atk / 67 Def / 125 SpA / 95 SpD / 83 Spe
Abilities: Flame Body, Vital Spirit

Magmortar has cemented itself as one of the most powerful attackers in NU and even the hardiest of Special Walls have trouble taking its attacks. Its great stats along with its amazing coverage which includes Fire Blast, Focus Blast, Thunderbolt and Hidden Power Grass to crush anything that can take the other 3 attacks. Magmortar is able to make use of its decent Speed and amazing Special Attack to run a plethora of sets. Magmortar's Choice Scarf set utilizes its powerful Special Attack to revenge threats with ease, while also being able to put a serious dent in teams. In addition to being an exceptional user of Choice Items, Magmortar is also a force to be reckoned with when holding an Expert Belt, which allows it to bluff a Choice Item, luring in countless Pokemon that thought they could take a certain attack. In addition to running an Expert Belt set, Magmortar is also fantastic with a Life Orb, trading the element of surprise that an Expert Belt provides, for power.

Musharna

Reserving Absol and Jynx.

Absol

[pimg]359[/pimg]

Typing: Dark
Base Stats: 65 / 130 / 60 / 75 / 60 / 75
Abilities: Pressure / Super Luck / Justified (Unreleased)

Absol is one of the most feared sweepers in the NU tier, and with good reason. It can boost its huge Attack stat to monstrous levels with Life Orb and Swords Dance, before proceeding to tear through teams with the excellent coverage provided between Sucker Punch and Superpower, plus the reliability (and 25% critical hit rate) of Night Slash. Its sheer power makes it very difficult for stall to deal with, while even more offensive teams must be wary of its strong STAB priority, which lets it double as an excellent revenge-killer which most sweepers must be aware of. The rarer Choice Scarf variant is also notable for its fast Pursuit.

Reserving Altaria and Weezing

110.png

Also, its movepool which consists of Fire-type moves such as Fire Blast and Flamethrower means that it isn't completly stopped by Steel-type Pokemon like most Poison-type Pokemon. With all of this in mind, its the first thing people think of when they need a physical wall.
334.png

Altaria
Typing: Dragon / Flying
Base Stats: 75 HP / 70 Atk / 90 Def / 70 SpA / 105 SpD / 80 Spe
Abilities: Natural Cure / Cloud Nine

The DPP "UU Dragon" finds itself in NU in the BW metagame. However, Altaria is one of the few Dragons in the NU tier, which makes it stand out from the crowd. It also has Dragon Dance, which means it can set up, and with 5 resistances and 1 immunity, it can set up Dragon Dances with ease, making it easy to sweep. It also has 75/90/105 defenses, and with moves such as Roost, Heal Bell, and Perish Song under its wings, it easily becomes a support Pokemon that can heal status, Perish Trap opposing Pokemon, and has a reliable recovery move to heal off damage. And as it that wasn't good enough, it gets Natural Cure for an ability, meaning it recovers from status whenever it switches out. Altaria is a Dragon-type Pokemon that is a threat no matter if its defensive or offensive.

Reserving Cacturne and Quagsire

332.png

Cacturne
Typing: Grass / Dark
Base Stats: 70 HP / 115 Atk / 60 Def / 115 SpA / 60 SpD / 55 Spe
Abilities: Sand Veil / Water Absorb

While notorious for its Sand Veil abuse in OU and UU, Cacturne makes its presence in the NU tier as one of the few Pokemon with access to the move Spikes. While Cacturne is mainly seen as a Spikes stacker, its offensive presence is definitely not to be taken lightly. Cacturne has incredible base 115 Attack and Special Attack and access to one of the strongest priority moves in NU, which makes up for its low speed. Cacturne also has access to Encore, although illegal with Water Absorb, which can really mess up the opponent's walls. Cacturne is definitely the go to Pokemon for NU offensive spike stacking teams.

Finished both, ready for checks.

edit: rewritten with Komodo's post in mind.

324.png

Torkoal
Typing: Fire
Base Stats: 70 / 85 / 140 / 85 / 70 / 20
Abilities: White Smoke / Shell Armor (Unreleased)

Torkoal stands tall in 5th gen NU as one of the most reliable Stealth Rock setters and spinners in the tier. Torkoal's fantastic base 140 defense stat more than makes up for its rather poor defensive typing, and allows it to wall most physical attackers without STAB Rock, Ground, or Water attacks. Torkoal also boasts a great phazing move in the form of Yawn, which allows it to scare away rapid spinners and set-up sweepers alike while steadily racking up residual damage from the opponent's continued switching. Torkoal is not entirely helpless offensively either, as it has a rather decent base 85 Special Attack stat, more than enough to make its STAB Lava Plumes discourage frail sweepers from trying to overpower Torkoal with repeated assaults. Torkoal's huge physical bulk and great support movepool definitely make it something to look out for in NU.

348.png

Armaldo
Typing: Rock / Bug
Base Stats: 75 / 125 / 100 / 70 / 80 / 45
Abilities: Battle Armor / Swift Swim (Unreleased)

Previously outclassed by Donphan, Claydol, and even Sandslash in DPP UU, Armaldo emerges into BW NU to find an all new world. Spinners are rare, and the only other fully evolved spinner that can simultaneously set up Stealth Rock is Torkoal. Armaldo is much more capable offensively than Torkoal, sporting a whopping base 125 attack stat, allowing it to hit hard with its Rock and Bug STABs. While Armaldo's low speed and lack of resistances are a hindrance, its great overall bulk allows it to take several neutral hits while either setting up rocks or spinning them away. Armaldo's typing also allows it to scare away Mesprit, one of the most common stealth rock setters in the tier. Armaldo can also forgo its traditional support sets for a very capable Double Dance set utilizing the great coverage it receives with its powerful STAB moves. This element of unpredictability helps cement Armaldo as one of the top threats of NU.

Guys, can we make this sound more like a threat list, and less like a bunch of overviews. The whole point of a threat list is to stress WHY a Pokemon is threatening, not what's bad about it. Why would we make a team to beat a particular Pokemon if you're going to say 'it has poor Special Defense'. Say what's GOOD about a Pokemon you're writing about, and why it makes an impact in the tier. Telling us its flaws isn't going to help us that much, because we need to know what it can do, and why it does it well. I'm not saying to show off about a terrible Pokemon, but make it sound as if it's a positive, rather than a negative. Use this as a guideline, because THIS is what a threat list is supposed to look like.
