Gen V Initial UU

Espeon was legal with magic mirror IIRC, it really stinks that all of the best sand abusers are OU while all 3 other weathers have at least 1 of their best abusers in UU.

It still gets Baton Pass from that, though, which is MORE than enough to bump Espeon up a tier.

That also assumes this event will still be male only.

Only time will tell.

What is this? Victini is in UU? Few Pokemon can take a V-Create to the face! Zapdos shouldn't be there either, that's pure crap.

Eviolite ferroseed could work well in uu, its pretty bulky with that item.

Yeah, but what differentiates it from Ferrothorn is that it can't do damage for dick. Seriously, base 50 attack? In a worst case-scenario, Ferrothorn could easily fall back on Power Whip / Gyro Ball. Ferroseed doesn't have that option, with low Attack and no Power Whip. It'd basically be a move-set of just Support moves.

Stealth Rock / Spikes / Thunder Wave / Filler

It'd have its uses until you realize that Deoxys-D can set up Stealth Rock and Spikes, as well as use Recover and Taunt. Ferroseed is just out-classed completely, even in UU.

Excitement's brewing! I'm relatively new to competitive so I've only played BW OU before, and I've been getting tired of cookie-cutter rain and sun, and annoying ferrothorn, etc. Also, aside from balloon leadtran and cb scizor, some of my favorite pokes to use are in UU. I can't wait for sheer force gatr, arcanine, and Raikou to wreck shit up, and be walling with slowbro/king, tangrowth, deoxys-d, and maybe lax... I'm not thrilled about the resurgence of weather in vulpix, hippopotas, and abomasnow, but it seems less powerful (though w/ heatran to break down sun I guess I'll have to use something else...) Also, cloud nine lickilicky and altaria seem viable so that's cool. Mew, suicune, maybe celebi, and definitely gorebyss and victini will be problems but we'll see.

I'm far too lazy to read through all of these, so sorry if anyone has already said this: Restalk snorelax is crazy. 188 hp / 104 Def / 216 SpD (same as the D/P Curse set) with a careful nature and leftovers. Moveset: Curse/Rest/Sleeptalk/Return or double edge.

First, All of the threatening fighting types are OU as of now, so snorelax won't have many STAB super effective moves aimed at it. With that HP and SpD, he doesn't have much to worry about on the special side, and after a few curses, physical attacks don't do much either. It's pretty self-explanatory but it works.

Is it just me or there's a worrying number of Pokemon now in UU which we would never have thought possible before? I mean, stuff like Zapdos, Mew, Victini, and Wobbufet in UU?

I'm excited to see how the UU tier would change drastically in the next few months. I just can't imagine the tier staying the way it is now. And I also hope the tiering system allows more Pokemon into OU, which helps keeping some overpowered Pokemon from just dropping into UU only to be BL.

@Azure Demon - Is that Joltik as your avatar? Awwww it's too cute ^^

Uh... What?
Anytime a teamslot was empty, I assume missingo was responsible.

Kyurem being so popular and prevailent in UU doesn't surprise me at all.
It to UU, is like Latias from OU in gen 4. He isn't the best D-meteor spammer, but he is the best one in the tier.

It works, except that it is completely walled by ghost types. I would rather give up sleep talk, and run crunch. And fighting is going to be popular, at least until chansey rotates out (I really hope she does)

How's Scarf Flygon doing in this metagame? I use him on my hail team as a buffer against Rock-type attacks, and he looks like a decent scout and revenge killer.

Scarf Flygon is excellent. In every single game I've used it, it has more than pulled its weight, and that's over twenty games. (With one notable exception when I switched it into HP Ice and got OHKO'd)
If you're Jolly, it outruns Tangrowth in sun and OHKO's with sun boosted Fire Blast. 80/80/80 is by no means fragile too. Then there's the obvious perk of outrunning every single dragon in the tier, and the fact that Scarfed Outrage rips through weakened teams like a chainsaw through liquefied butter. The whole hazards thing is really good too, because it allows you to keep switching in for rampage after rampage. It's quite rare that it actually gets picked off during the Outrage, because (particualrly if the opposing steel is eliminated) opponents often switch around to soften Outrage's blow. It can take Donphans Ice Shard and a bunch of other random stuff like CB victini Zen Headbutt, so it's easily able to dip in and out, weakening walls, causing general chaos and revenge-killing here-and-there.
