Don't forget that in about 24 hours from now we will likely get some more news from Nintendo at E3 in their TreeHouse section. That is where we MIGHT get confirmation about Synchros, and unlikely before then.

Let's keep to talk about Magearna, the maps and two new Pokemon until then! I will definitely be around tomorrow for the announcements, and ofcourse we welcome all of you to IRC to chat in real time about the content TreeHouse shows is!

Click Here: http://client00.chat.mibbit.com/#oi@irc.synirc.net And add a nickname and you'll be right into chatting with everyone else there :)

Magearna is cute, I love the big bug eyes and motiffs she has shared with Sylveon and Diancie, even if they where unintended from the designers, feelers and antennas along the big bug eyes :3

Steel fairy is a really interesting typing, shame steel no longer resists ghost and dark... Anyways she could be fun for a Mew clone.

Nekkoala has a lot of potential: Will o wisp, toxic and thunder wave are useless
the ability has been confirmed to change 10%'s form when at low HP

Also Scald won't be as annoying.
This is assuming, of course, that Nekkoala is good. There's a lot of pokemon with amazing abilities (protean kecleon, fur coat furfrou) that don't end up being used because they have absolutely nothing in terms of stats, movepool and/or typing to back it up.
And so despite the amazing ability they're shite.

yeah, and regarding zygarde, the ability is confirmed to be swarm change. The ability changes it from 10% to 100%

Nekkoala is already a fan favorite, so who knows, they might make it good for the business. How do people find the stats out anyway?

If how they're hyping S&M and XY is anything to go by, they'll announce Iwanko, Nekkoala, and some of the "secret". They'll also show one more pokemon, and maybe synchros if that's legit(which I hope is not)

I mean, the stats and movepool and such will already have been decided and the game will already have been made.
Regarding stats, we can only approxinate the HP stat based on what has been shown to us (for instance, solgaleo was shown with 212 hp at level fifty) and our knowledge of IVs and EVs. With the aforementioned example, the lowest an base HP stat can be for 212 at lvl50 is 105, and the highest is 152. So we know it'll be between those, assuming nothing has changed from gen 6 with the way stats are calculated.

Even when the game comes out how do they know

1) I would hardly say it's a "fan favorite."It's too early to decide things like that yet.
2) I do think Gamefreak would change a Pokemon's stats and move pool based on fan reception. I mean, the Eeveelutions would be world breakers if that was the case.

I will say that based on Gen 7, Gamefreak has made an effort to create some really good pokemon with great designs (Talonflame, Diancie, Greninja, Pangoro, Aegislash, Sylveon, Dragalge, Tyrantum).

And yet again my little plague doctor gets ignored...

Unconventional designs are great too!

I would love to see the new inanimate Pokémon, slurpuff was OK at best, it felt like a downgrade from swirlix, Aegislash was great...for eyes on a sword.

Let's us see more inanimate objects other than rotom formes in this region!

So far I think the only "fan fave" is Rowlet, of course I stand by the opinion that right now these Pokemon are just "liked" and it won't be until the games are released that a Pokemon can then become a "fan fave".

Good point. All we can probably do now is predict which of these Pokémon will become "fan faves". We don't know what Nekkoala will evolve into, what stats it will get, and the move pool. All of this will either make it fun to use, and a favorite like the Goomy line, or a mere curiosity.

Okay. People, Nintendo is going to stream the new news, or something regarding Sun & Moon, at 9:00 Pacific Time.

That does remind me. A LOT of people preferred Fenniken first when the starters were announced and now...look at Delphox.
Why don't you like Delphox? It's fine.

yeah, but why? What about Delphox or Samurott is so off-putting for people?

Dewott was shaping up to evolve into a badass bipedal samurai and we got a quadruped seal (sometimes on two legs and it's laughably bad in the anime).
Delphox -> Too much fur...and those hairy ears. -_-

30 minutes until the presentation starts! At least it was when I started writing this. Should be something closer to 20 now, because finding that link took so long.

Anyway, here's a link to a stream: http://e3.nintendo.com/ . There are others, just Google "E3 2016 Nintendo" and have your pick.

We'll be following and discussing it in the Orange Islands IRC Channel. Click the link, pick a username, and participate in some real-time discussion of the events as they unfold. And for a bit afterwards too, if past experience is anything to go by. Hope to see you there!

Not a lot we can tell from these images of Popplio's stats as he levels (there will be some EV's ofcourse). But looks like he might be defensive with a special attack lean.

Looks like they have released more info on the official Website too!

Grubbin! http://www.pokemon-sunmoon.com/en-us/pokemon/grubbin/

Also some information on the Radiant Sun and Full Moon modes!
