Good PSP Games?

Is VC2's story as mind blowingly dumb as the first one's? Cause it was a good game made by the guys who made Skies of Arcadia, but man the story was easy to make fun of.

Birth By Sleep is good, though replayablility isn't as high as you'd like it (in my opinion).

I'm interested in Tactics Ogre which comes out in about a week.

I just got a psp, frankly only to play Ys7 (which is made by the same guys behind gurumin). It's basically your typing ARPG, complete with an almost-cliche story (there are a few original twists, but then again it's really hard to come by original stories these days), but where it really shines is the battle system (not to mention the bosses, and MUSIC). If you haven't picked up a Ys title before, Ys7 would probably be a good place to start (not oath in feleghana noooo).

My only nitpick with the game is that it's short; you can beat it in roughly 35-50 hours, depending on how much of the optional content you do. Otherwise, though, I'd highly recommend it :)

That's pretty much the case with most RPGs now, they always managed to use good battle systems, heh.

Atlus is currently marking a number of their PSP games on PSN down 50% until Feb 15. Details here. Persona 3 portable is highly recommended for those who don't have it. I myself will be picking up Riviera Promised Land (played the GBA version and enjoyed it) and Yggdra Union (I've heard a lot about it and can't say no at that price).

Based on the games you have now and on the games you are looking to purchase, I can see that you are the type of person who would enjoy Monster Hunter games. Trust me, these games are great fun. The only reason why I would think you wouldn't like the games would be because of the difficulty factor. While these games are enjoyable, they are also incredibly difficult. Unless you're willing to put in many hours to progress through the game successfully, it might not be the game for you. However, except for that, I would highly recommend giving Monster Hunter a try as I can guarantee that you will not regret it.
