looks like you need to work on your quick drawI was robbed at gunpoint, and I can safely say without a doubt that having a gun on my person would not have helped and almost certainly would have gotten me killed, had I tried anything

It always astounds me, that so many countries in the world are perfectly safe and have strict gun contol laws
and yet americans are always like "ibut I need to defend myself!"
that i is supposed to be an upside down exclamation mark because all americans are mexicans
more like mexican'ts amirite?
I actually have had someone break into my house, not at gunpoint, but still. It was the day after Christmas last year, at about 4am. As per usual, I was still awake and sitting with my laptop down in the living room. I had headphones in and the tv was playing pretty loud. First I heard the gate rattle, but assumed it was just a possum and didn't really take notice.
Then about 15 minutes later, out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone dressed completely in red step out into the kitchen. Again, I assumed it was just my mum wrapped in a blanket. It was a weird time for her to be up, but I just waved without really looking. They turned back and I thought nothing more of it.
Finally when I ventured up to my room, there was something off. It was slightly messier than usual: bags emptied on the floor, the tv antenna snapped. Once again I just assumed my sister had been looking for something and, oblivious as ever, I go to sleep.
The next morning I ask my mum and sister if they knew what was up with my room, but they had no idea. We started noticing things were missing and slowly began to piece it all together. My PS3, my laptop, my ipod, my phone, all my games, the family video camera... and my sister's track pants. As it turned out, we'd been robbed. Mostly my things too, since my bedroom was the only door that was open.
Anyway the forensics team arrived, took some fingerprints and here's the best part, they found a santa claus costume torn off out in our yard. No joke, we were robbed the day after christmas, by a guy dressed as santa...
Despite all that, I still agree that the less guns out there the better.
Jokes on him, the one he stole wouldn't even turn on. The best part was that I got insurance money for something that was completely worthless :PHugen you said you were in the living room with your laptop and later it got stolen? 2 laptops? Or something really weird happened? :3 sorry for your loss man:(

A man in china ran down 23 students in his car yesterday.
We must ban assault vehicles and high capacity gastanks!

DM if you don't mind me asking, what happened? Were you robbed at home or outside?
Gun control has only brought a rise in violent crime in Australia and the UK, regardless how minor their gun crime is. Criminals will never turn their guns in. All mass murders in the last 50 years minus 1 have been in no gun zones. Clearly gun control is not the issue. Society would be best with everyone armed at all times.
If you have a concealed carry you recognize the everyday threat of criminals and would never think nothing of being walked up to at 3am in your own driveway. Hand on your pistol in your pocket at the very least, just incase. I'm confident that in 1 second I could fire upon an average thug / crackhead on the street attempting to rob me. And I would to save my own life and even morose to protect my family. And no logical thinking person should give up this right.
