I dont use forums...EVER but im asking for help to black city from my pokemon white. I understand i need another person to get there. Can anybody help me? I beat white just to get a Ralts..
That...would be difficult, as now you need to do this with someone in real life because the Nintendo Wifi has been shut down for good since Tuesday. Ralts though is available in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y in the wild (and a special trade once you beat the game) and sometimes comes up in Wonder Trades. Alternatively, you can beat Black 2/White 2 version and do the pain in the butt dropped item sidequest trade deal. You eventually get offered a level 50 Ralts with Telepathy in exchange for any Pokemon you'd like to offer.

Anyone know where to receive the Enigma Berry from the May International Competition (I was a participant)? I tried Pokemon Link, Mystery Gift, Game Syncing, and Re-entering pokemon centers for a mailman.
I believe you need to access the website and send your gift to your game that way. I didn't participate in the competition, so I can't confirm what I'm saying. Hope you remember your password :p
No dice. Didn't see anything on the Global Link about the enigma berry.

I got to 300 something running Snorlax/Metagross/Milotic. At that point I got incredibly bored, and restarted Sapphire.

Nice, that's a pretty cool team too. I'm at 413 wins now. I'm trying to set a record, although the problem is I'm just not sure how high I need to go!

I think there was an old thread somewhere around here, stating a streak in the high 1100s... we used to keep a list, but I'm not sure if it is still around.

Interesting. Do you know who held that record, if you can remember?

I have a feeling Jumpman16 may be able to answer your question. The Battle Tower thread from generation 4 is on Smogon and can be found here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/thread...e-frontier-and-dp-battle-tower-records.52858/ But that doesnt help with Emerald results :( Unfortunately, if there was a thread about the Gen 3 battle tower it has long since been lost to the annuls of time.

Yeah, he'd probably know too. I'll send him a PM and see if he knows.

Thanks.

decided i wanted to take a shot at getting the shiny charm. i was collecting pokemon and i went on GTS to obtain a rattata. people were trading rattatas for Xerneas....................if this is all everyone does then obtaining the shiny charm is a joke apparently. i stopped playing pokemon after fire red so i dont have black or white or any of the newer games to transfer my pokemon over from. my question being: is there any way to obtain pokemon in a more RATIONAL and PRACTICAL way, seeing as how i literally have to start from scratch...

anoxx: Do some breeding. Preferably with pokes with a perfect IV or two, so that you can start getting some better IVed pokes to serve as parents in future breeding projects, but that's not essential. Start wonder trading what gets born. Randomly, you'll get some nice things back as people are doing breeding projects of their own for perfect or near perfect IVs and wonder trading their unwanted offspring. Take particular note of things with desirable hidden abilities like Protean Froakie.

Breed this poke (we'll assume it's a froakie) so that you yourself have a number of Protean Froakies. Trade some of these offspring on the GTS directly, asking for the rattatta or what have you that you want. You can even leave a short message saying "Protean" or "Hidden Ability 2 perfect IV" or the like. You'll have to wait a bit (but can be off doing other stuff, further breeding, etc.) but you can often find a taker quite quickly. Usually, with the GTS, you'll have better results trading something appealing and asking for what you want than looking for what you want and hoping you have what people are asking for, which as you note, is often ridiculous. Repeat, and in time, you can get a lot of "common" pokes from other generations. Note that you may have more difficulty getting old legendaries.

Hope this helps. An added bonus of this method is that sometimes you get wondertraded stuff that isn't in your pokedex yet, which helps you build your pokedex number even faster. Before pokemon bank came out, I used this method to get most pokes available in X and Y, even friend safari only ones, without ever actually using friend safari or trading with a friend.

Those better be top percentage Rattata... Luckily, there's Wonder Trade and Friend Safari. You can also try offering what you want to trade for a Rattata on the GTS, which tends to work much better than looking FOR it and being asked to cough up something like a Genesect or Mew.

Basically, do what NoCheese suggested.

Is it possible to obtain an HA Bunnelby in-game?
Yeah, you can easily get HA Pokemon in friend safaris and/or horde encounters. In this particular case, you can get Huge Power Diggersby from Ground-type friend safaris, and then breed until you get a Bunnelby with Huge Power. This however is only able to occur postgame, so yeah. Not entirely sure where to get HA Bunnelby before that.

Oh, OK, it's because I got a 6 IVs HA Bunnelby over Wonder Trade and I wanted to know if I could breed it to trade it. Legally, of course.

What is a good Pokemon in gen IV and below that knows...

-Substitute
-A move that preferably hits every Pokemon
-Two stat boosting moves/1 stat boosting move + Recover

Does anyone know how the points for hitting targets in Super Training is calculated? At first I thought it was based on EV distribution, levels, IVs, and/or base stats. But as it turns out, none of them seems to be true when I tested it out on Mewtwo and Latias. Both same level, flawless, EV'd the same way, and LATIAS scores something like 20 points higher even though Mewtwo clearly has the higher attack stats.

I've found that it's based on EVs. Are you sure they had the same soccer ball style shot thing? (No idea what you'd call it) My guess is they both shoot different soccer balls which score differently...

I think it's based on the Pokémon you pick. They're kind of like the Pokeathlon stats, each species shares the same statpool. I have a handful of Volcaronas; some flawless, some far from. In the end, after EV training, they seem to score similarly, almost 2k points for each charged shot(green). Yeah, EVs do influence how you score. They scale higher as you gather more, being more effective if you aim for Attack/Sp. Attack. Same goes for how Speed influences shot and movement speed. The Defenses I believe just weaken shots against you, I haven't been hit much though.

Volcarona also happens to be my strongest Pokémon when it comes to Super Training. Takes about 10 seconds to take down the normal level 3 balloons. I did not check if the legendaries do much better though. Anyone know which Pokémon are the best for Super Training? Obviously not the ones with the large shots(orange), but I'm assuming that the charge shots(green) and multi-shots(yellow) are the best.
