Guys, are you seriously complaining about getting calls on the phone?
You can just have the phone without any numbers. You know, like real life?

You think we will get new items?
Possibly one that extends Trick Room?
No. Things like the Berserk Gene might return, but I'm very doubtful of us getting any actual new items. Those are better left for when the next generation of games come out.

Yeah, you could do that in GSC, but it was automatic in RSE

Hopefully they won't impliment this in HGSS(they might, since RSE is more recent than GSC, but may not, since this is a remake of GS). Besides that, you have to weigh your options to rebattle trainers and get rare stones, or have your breeding session interrupted. Personally, when I breed, I don't even look at the screen, I just remember the # of seconds to finish one cycle from below Solaceon to top of 210, and the number of steps accomplished in this way(allows me to watch TV), so I will be screwed.

I do the same :(

I can't quite remember and I'm too lazy to dig out the G/S or Crystal guide, but was there a large interrupted strip of land to cycle on in Goldenrod?

Yes, you could go down until a patch of grass and up until one of those "toll" type buildings, in the north of goldenrod. Glad gamefreak is consistent with their "egg hatching" routes, near the daycare.

Ah :) Good to know.

Haha, just noticed I wrote interrupted. *uninterrupted

And as for the Pokemon following you/friendship...

Gold: Do you like me Steelix?
Steelix: hellz no
Gold: D:

I hope the Pokemon following you gets a pseudo-pickup ability. Kinda like in Amity Square, except with more possibilties (not just berries/accessories). Less possibilities than the Pokemon who actually do have the ability Pickup though, so the ability isn't rendered pointless.

Just so you know, Pokémon won't talk back to you.
They're very much into anime and japanese culture, so they only speak through gorm's language.

In one of the videos, you see gold turn around and talk to one of his pokes and a big smiley dace goes over it's head kinda like this::heart:

Yes, the route to Mt. Silver and Indigo Plateau were in Kanto and once you crossed a certain tile in Johto, the map would change accordingly.

And about the red dots you pointed out, the one to the right of Olivine is the National Park (it's not connected to Olivine, btw), while the one on the left must be the Battle Tower, and the green dot between Azalea and Goldenrod is Ilex Forest. Notice that the map has some green trees drawn together, representing the forest. However, there's also golden trees to the north of Ecruteak and, if you analyze the whole map, you'll notice that EVERY drawing represents a dungeon on the games: There's Ilex, Mt. Mortar. Mt. Silver, the entrances to Dark Cave, etcetera. Why would there be golden trees to the north of Ecruteak on the map if they weren't accessible, then?

I would imagine that they are trying to give Ho-Oh it's own "area" now, like how Lugia has the Whirl Islands. Ho-Oh was always just in the middle of Ecruteak, but now that they have surrounded the city with the golden trees, it makes it seem like Ho-Oh has his own themed space. Hopefully you will be able to do some exploring in that upper area as well, although I can't really imagine what would be in there that would make it different than any other forest.

On the point of Ho-Oh, has everyone seen the videoclip of him Flying around the Tin Tower with all the red trees surrounding him? Sexiest thing ever!

Very much agree Stallion, but I'm still a bigger fan of Lugia. One awesome clip isn't enough to sway me. ;]

This Notch-Eared Pichu thing pisses me off. Yeah, I get it, you like cute shits more than big tough guys, TPC. But could you eat least have given us a brand new Pokémon if you weren't going to let us evolve it or trade it to begin with? As it stands, it's functionally useless. The only thing that's going to come out of it is that now Pichu will have its own Smogon entry. They're gonna have to create a new tier for it, Never Ever Used.

As for those ?s on the keychains, I'm betting they're similar deals. Special Pokémon with different looking stuff and special moves. Hopefully some of THEM will be useful.

I'd bet quite a bit that NEP will have better base stats than a regular Pichu. It's practically a new species seeing as it can't evolve, learns different moves, looks different from a reguar Pichu, and cant be traded to DPPt.

And why isn't anyone discussing the area on the map west of Cianwood (I'm looking at the Pokegear map)? The path leading up to the area has the same coloring as normal routes in the game except it's MUCH wider; anyone have any ideas? And the area at the end is colored the same dark green as the Lake of Rage, Ilex Forest, etc. so we can safely assume it's an actual area. Anyone think it might be the new Battle Frontier? After all there is no indication on the map that the Battle Tower in Olivine is still there (there's only a small green dot in Olivine and it's situated where the Lighthouse should be). But what's with that massive path I wonder.

Also check Serebii for clearer and new pics. Kurt's back for certain, and you can clearly see the Apicorn tree next to his house, just as in GSC. IMO this pretty much confirms that Apicorn balls are back in some shape or form.

I wonder what will happen with regular berries. Will they still be around, or will we see the return of PSNCURBERRIES and such. Maybe both? Personally I think they'll keep DPPt's berry system and just scratch the old berries minus the ball berries.

There wasn't a convenient spot in FR/LG. Four Island wasn't shaped anywhere near making that possible.

Although I'm also curious as to what it is that's left of olivine.
I'm calling Battle Tower or the like. The original Battle Tower wasn't really IN Olivine, you went west and then north through one of those buildings. The location on the map seems to fit perfectly.

Is anyone else worried that the Gold still has a Chikorita behind him in the picture of him and the Entei, Suicune, and Raikou in Brass Tower? I don't know how to link to the picture, but if you go to Serebii and look under the HG/SS pictures, you should see it.

I just hope he's severely underlevelled...and I hope they let us choose when to release them as well.

I'm almost 100% positive they are just keeping the starters in the picture to prevent releasing any images of the starters' evolutions' overworld sprites.

Apricorns are already confirmed by the "notes" picture. This is an apricorn from the anime.

Apricorn balls will be nice, but I see them becoming the new specialty balls we got in RSE-DPP (ie. Timer, Quick, Dive).

I also hope they use the new Berry system as opposed to the GSC one, r else reverse EV training's gonna be impossible.

Eh, if there going to put the Apricorns (which it seems that they did), then I don't see why they can't put the original Pokeballs back in too. Although, I suppose my thinking that way is partly due to wanting balls like the Heavy Ball back.

As for the berries, yeah, I'm pretty confident that they'll stay with the RSE-DPP ones.

The new specialty balls aren't copies of Kurts balls.

Kurt makes special old school Poke Balls by hollowing out the inside of a perfectly ripe Apricorn and placing a device inside it. While the Devon Company and Silph Co. may mass produce Poke Balls, they don't use Apricorn. Which in the Pokemon world must mean = impossible to get Apricorn Ball effects. Try as they might (Luxury/Friend, Nest/Level, Net/Lure), they will only get close.

Kurt doesn't give out mass produced Poke Balls. That completely defeats the purpose of Apricorns. And the point of Kurt in general.

Oh, and the berry system will probably be the RSE/DPPt system. I would lol if they pulled a "Oh, well, PSNCUREBERRIES (creative, eh?) are the native berries to Johto."

And as usual, Kanto will most likely be berryless.

Imma go look at the clearer scans now.

Edit: I was right, those kind of trees ARE Apricorn trees. Not headbutt trees. It looks like headbutt trees are out.

Even if mewtwo and lati@S are both in how are you suppposed to get the rse and frlg starters without a migrating place? They werent in gsc as far as im concerned.
