i was just watching the pokemon sunday video on filb and noticed that it looked as if you could choose which which path to block. This could also explain why it shows entei instead of suicune in the battle scene. I didnt play crystal so i wouldnt know, but that would be awesome if that was true...

Also, it seems that dialga, palkia and, giratina receive a minor movepool upgrade. The movie 12 arceus triggers an ingame event that allows you to get one of the three dragons. They know metal burst, hydro pump and, shadow sneak respectively.
There are a couple other ingame events triggered by certain event pokemon.
If there is an ingame event for celebi, it will likely be triggered by an event item given out via wonder card. Probably over wi-fi.
I never played crystal and have wondered what if you threw away the Rock Smash TM (still a TM in GSC), In GS you wouldn't be able to get to the dogs but in crystal suicune was part of the story
Anyone else feel that the battle background for Ho-oh is a little lacking? Not that it's that big of a deal, but I feel that with a simple beige/brown background, the battle will be a little underwhelming. Would've been nice if they somehow put some clouds or even the tower in the battle background, but meh, I can't complain.
And dang...I just realized how low of a level 45 is. Perhaps Lugia/Ho-oh will be obtainable relatively early in the game.

Ho-oh was originally level 40 in Gold / Lugia was originally level 40 in Silver.
This is actually a boost...
Once you got the first one, the TM became available at the Goldenrod store. Same thing with Headbutt.
Keep in mind that's a boost. Originally, the bird that matched your version was Lv40. The other was Lv70.
I have no idea how I still know all this stuff.
Considering Lance's pokemon maxed out @ 50, 45 is relatively high for Johto, regardless they were found @ 40 in the originals, possibly signs of them beefing up the Johto trainers, league, and gyms.
Love the new Sugomori art, Meganium doesn't look actiony, but what can you expect, Scizor is epic as told by Avatar.
Yeah, I know the featured bird of Gold/Silver was found at level 40, but in HG/SS, aren't both Lugia and Ho-oh found at level 45? Or is it a similar situation where Lugia is at level 45 in SoulSilver, Ho-oh is at level 45 in HeartGold, and you get the other bird after beating the Elite 4 and getting the opposite wing from that dude in Pewter City?
Red Gyarados was still level 30 so I think they are leaving most levels the same.
@Tucker in the original you could get your versions bird before fighting Clair and breeze through the rest of the game. Since Suicune is stationaty and Eusine is in the game does that mean there's a chance that we have to catch all the dogs before fighting Ho-oh?
Eh, I think what they did was just show the Ho-oh encounter in HG, and then the Lugia-encounter in SS. In other words, the birds are level 45 in their respective games, and we don't know what level the other bird is at.
It was confirmed on the official site that you can still get both.
I'm aware this :S, the point I was making is that if they beefed up the bird's level maybe they did the same to the Trainers; they'd never put up such an absurd requirement, remeber this game is made with kids in mind, and having to find and catch a runner is troublesome even for people of my age and higher.
Well in Crystal you did have to catch all the dogs to catch Ho-oh (says serebii) and now we have abilities such as arena trap/shadow tag
0.o That's odd 0.o, well I honestly don't remember this, then again I don't think I even finished Crystal. If this is true then it's a possiblity, these games unlike FR/LG seems to be a mix of the original Gold and Silver, with the Crystal story line.
Fast Sleeper was always the method for me to catch the gerbils, also make sure it was mean looked.
