Could anyone tell me where one got ExtremeSpeed Dratini in the original Pokémon Crystal? I was maybe around 7-8 years old when I had that game, so honestly, I never recall getting one.

The house in the Dragon's Den. One of the Elders will give you a quiz.

You basically have to answer like: yes I love all Pokemon weak and strong, yes I think Pokemon are friends, no I think Pokemon are not tools. yadda yadda yadda.

Then you get a Dratini with Extremespeed.

It's gonna make soft resetting a pain.. If ES Dratini is still included, that is.

The Dragon's Den. An old guy aked you a bunch of quetions about your opinions on Pokemon. You had to pick the "nice" answers, like "all Pokemon are strong" and "Pokemon should be raised with love". You'd get E-Speed Dratini then. If you pick the more "jerk" answers, you'd get a normal Dratini. This was also when you actually got the last badge (surely Clair was breaking league rules by not giving you the badge right away).

EDIT: Beaten. But that other point I made still stands, all of the "first" gym leaders are all like "I lost so I have to give you the badge per league rules" and Clair's all like "I'm a sore loser, no badge for you".
 
Does anyone else think Crobat's ear seems a little too long? It's ruining the art for me. :( Spinarak and Ariados look so... plain compared to all the other's, too...

Steelix, Chinchou, and Lanturn look awesome.
 
Although the sprites will not be like the artwork, I'm glad the artwork has a little more.. personality and flavor to the Pokemon. I'm sure the sprites will be just as great.
 
Personally, I like Porygon2's new artwork (and darker shade). Goes better with PorygonZ's coloring, imo.
 
It's not that I don't like it, I was just wondering. But I REALLY hate the Platinum sprite of Porygon2. The art is cool, but it's not really doing anything, like it could be (a killer art of Porygon or Porygon-Z would be the seperating limbs). I just put it because I love Sugimori art in general, and I love Porygon(2/-Z), and I don't like any Johto Pokemon as much (aside from Togetic, but Togekiss looks better and I like Porygon(2/-Z) better anyways). So that's why it's my avatar.

I was going to sprite it, but I think I lost my spriting touch. :-(
 
New artwork is awesome! But why did Nintendo/Game Freak/whoever decide that Porygon2 should be darker now?

I remember reading somewhere that it was done to match the color of PorygonZ.

Not sure why they decided that P2 needed to be the same color though (it seemed fitting that PZ was a slightly darker color considering his shady origins).
 
Hmmm, was showing some old videos to my friends, when I ran into this video. It's pretty old, but look around 2:18

I think it might be real. After all, if they want us to be able to get all the pokemon without the gameboys (DSi) then they would have to include them. The new art for them also looks quite proffesional. Comments?

P.S. The new Wobbufet defines the definition of the status confusion. Or drunk.
 
Along with what Arael just said, I've heard that Suicune will also be stationary. It is also said that the three beats retain their legendary music from Crystal, but revamped.

Aaaaand, they showed more of that scene where Arceus creates an Egg. They show a lot of pictures in Japan (no, it's NOT from the pokémon world), as if Arceus was summoning the power of everything to create the egg.

Here to today's Pokémon Sunday. Not the best audio quality, but it's either that or wait for filb.de...


And why did they only show us Entei? Last week's preview showed a battle with something on what appeared to be a rocky terrain; we didn't have it today, I was expecting it to be Suicune, after we found out it would be stationary :/

There's no way the Hoenn starter thing's real. That's the anime official art of them, and the Mudkip's miscoloured.
 
It's not real. For one the Mudkip is miscoloured, and two, the Treeko has a twig in it's mouth. Probably a fanboy copy-pasted anime pictures or some shit.
