Hey I was thinking of starting a fakedex so I'm gonna start now >>>
Welcome to the region of Henko (change in Japanese)

Ready to begin your journeys as Pokemon trainers, you and your next door neighbour, Ace, are stepping out of your town, Alpha Town, to begin your adventures. Suddenly your hear a cry; "Help!!". You and Ace run over to the edge of a deep forest, Aura Forest, a deep wood rumoured to be the home of the legendary, and find the Henko regions professor, Maple, being attacked by three wild Pokemon :

Cyjay Normal/Flying
The Blue Jay Pokemon
"Ah, a Cyjay. These blue birds will help you out a lot once they evolve with some pretty powerful attacks!"

"Quick, fetch my briefcase over there". You go towards the breifcase which is out of the Professors reach and give it to him. He then opens it up and three pokeballs fall out and open to reveal three other pokemon. The Cyjay screech and fly off, apparently scared. "Thanks, kids! You've been a rea-----" Suddenly a loud roar is heard from deep within Aura Forest and it starts raining. "Come on children, we need to get inside, and quickly!". Once you, Ace and Maple are inside your house, he thanks you once again. Thunder can be heard booming outside as the rain continues. "Thanks for helping me out there! Ah! It seems you were just about to start your pokemon journey! Well how we're you going to that without any pokemon? Well anyway, those three pokemon that scared off the Cyjay? Do you want a closer look? I'm offering a choice here, take one of them to be your partner for your journey!" Maple opens the breifcase and you can now choose which one of the three pokemon you want. "Bear in mind, grass is weak against fire, fire is weak against water, and water is weak against grass!"

Deicoco Grass
The Coconut Pokemon
"Here is the grass type, Deicoco. It pins down prey with its claws and will evolve to be pretty fast!"

Calflame Fire
The Calf Pokemon
"The fire type, Calflame spits fire from its nose when angry!"

Axowoter Water
The Paddle Pokemon
"Here is Axowoter, the Water type. Cute isn't it! It uses its big paddle like tail to swim quickly!"

You choose your pokemon and Ace chooses the starter strong against yours. Now Maple gives you the Pokedex. "Here is your very own Pokedex! You can record data in it every time you catch a Pokemon so make sure to use these - *Gives you 5 pokeballs* - to catch all the different Pokemon you see and hopefully you can help me and my team to collect information of the Pokemon in Henko! Oh look! The weather has cheered up a bit! Now let's have a practice in catching Pokemon." Maple, you and Ace go outside, now sunny. "Alright no offence, old man but I'm not stupid! I'm going on my own journey and I don't need help! I'm going to be the Pokemon champion! Later!"
Ace rushes off to follow his dream while you and Maple do the mandatory tutorial to catch Pokemon. From the grasses of Route 1, a wild Gerball appeared!

Gerball Normal
The Ball Pokemon
"Gerball love to bounce around and are very fun to play with!"

The professor shows you how to catch the Gerball using a Pokeball. Suddenly a ringing can be heard and the Professor answers his phone. "I'm very sorry but I have an urgent call from the Kanto region and I have to be there to sort a few problems out involving a group of troublesome trainers! If you need any help, just travel through the forest until you get to Heiyava City. My lab is there and Penelope, my assistant will help you out!" Maple quickly runs off leaving you on your own for the first time, ready for an adventure. As you run thought the grass of Route 1 you only find Gerball and another pokemon aswell :

"These little cute Cubolt are electric type, strong against Water types like Axowoter!"

As you continue into Aura Forest, you wonder what challenges await you and your newly acquired Pokemon...

I am really liking your work, you can see how it imporves. Im a sucker for smooth art so i say the newest look the best but keep at it!

Continuing on your adventure as a pokemon trainer, you finally venture into the unknown: Aura Forest! Dappled sunlight filters through the tall trees and the grass is luscious and green. Flowers are scattered around and further in you can see clear water rippling . Suddenly, "Hey, come over here. I want a battle between our starters." Ace runs over and you are plunged into a fierce confrontation where you are at a disadvantage to Ace. After a while you pull through and win the battle. "Hmm. Don't think you are all that, just because I made a mistake. I would have won that! Anyway, umm, can you come through the forest with me? I'm not scared or anything... I just... Need some company?" As you walk through the dark grass for the first time. Many pokemon jump out at you, in pairs. There is so many pokemon here!

Crawpilla Bug
The Crawler Grub Pokemon
"These little bugs crawl everywhere and are perfect for young trainers as they evolve so early!"

Walcoon Bug
The Walking Pokemon
"Wow! A cocoon with legs? Who would have guessed it?"

Level 7 ♀ >

Puprance Bug
The Prancing Pokemon
"These jolly pokemon love to dance everywhere!"

Among these bug pokemon there are others like Cyjay and Gerball continues to pop out of the grass aswell. There are many trainers in Aura Forest and some other people tell you a myth about a mysterious pokemon who lives in the forest who helps the trees grow and helps the pokemon who live here. Suddenly some new pokemon appears out of the grass.

Glibat Dark/Flying
The Bat Pokemon
"These may look cute now but when they evolve they are pretty terrifying!"

Thittle Grass/Poison
The Thistle Pokemon
"This little devil trips up unsuspecting trainers and sprays a foul odour."

Bugly Bug/Electric
The Glow Pokemon
"These bugs use their glowing tails to attract prey"

As you get deeper into the forest, two more pokemon start appearing.

Needoll Ghost
The Voodoo Pokemon
"Needoll wonder around lonely. They evolve while holding a certain stone."

Virat Normal/Poison
The Plague Pokemon
"Virat are well known for spreading diseases and are considered dirty by everyone!"

Reaching the end of Aura Forest, having fought lots of double battles with trainers and wild pokemon, you say goodbye to Ace. "Yeah, thanks for coming through the forest. You were good company. Now I'm off to face the Heiyava City gym leader! He specialises in Normal type pokemon you know!" Ace runs off and you are left on your own to enter Heiyava city. What awaits you as your journey continues?

Gliscor because he is the bees knees. I like this but It was harder than Xerneas if you can believe it!

And Andrew, it's a bit late but here is the litleo and teddiursa

It's pretty awful but I'm happy with the litleo. I just hate that stupid teddy

Woah I love the shading on the Gliscor. You can really see the texture of it. And I think the Teddiursa is cute!
I'm definitely not an expert in lineart, but it seems to me that you could really improve it by simply erasing parts where the lines stray from the image, like on the head of the Teddiursa where that line comes out from the head a bit and also where the body intersects the head. You could also pay a bit more attention to coloring within the lines.

Still, you're definitely improving— I love the fakedex, by the way. You're lineart is amazingly clean in those drawings too. Are you going to upload the evolved forms of the starters? I'd love to see those, and maybe also more attributes of the Pokemon, like base stats and abilities. Keep it up!

EDIT: Oh by the way, which tool do you use to do lineart? Because Sketchbook Xpress' pencil tool is really good for lineart (for me, at least) as it allows you to vary the size of your lines more.

Woah I love the shading on the Gliscor. You can really see the texture of it. And I think the Teddiursa is cute!

thanks for the advice! Yeah I wasn't really trying very hard for the litleo piece but I am really proud of gliscor and am glad you like it too! Btw I do use the pencil tool but in this next piece I also used this pen it think which I haven't used before :) blue frog hope you like it as it is in honour of you! Yeah I will show the evolved forms soon!

Not really happy with grass starter but it will do. I really like the flaming ox and axolotl one though

Woah those fakemon are awesome. They're so complex and well drawn... I wish I could say the same for mine, haha! The fire one is my favorite, I like the water and grass ones too, although the lips of the water one kinda bother me though, not because they're badly drawn or anything, but because design-wise, I think they make its face kinda ugly (though there are plenty of ugly pokemon out there, so this one's not really that bad at all). I think it may be could be better to remove the lips altogether and add a normal mouth.

I like the style in the first two pieces, though the highlight on Honchkrow's beak doesn't really look right; it's too unsaturated compared to the surrounding yellow, so I think you could have used a brighter color for it.

Other than that, you're improving rapidly, and I'm excited to see your pieces in the future.

Hahaha I just thought it was such a funny idea and I wondered if I could make it kind of .. Work? Lol it looks stupid but in my next art post it will definitely be there! Do you have any requests I'm kinda stuck for ideas atm?

Requests for fakedex, or for existing Pokémon to draw?

If I'm permitted to "steal" an idea for a Fakemon, there was something from the famous "Mr. XY" leak that really stood out: A Dark/Electric type, a semi-transparent cloud based on an atom, that evolves into something resembling a black hole or a cosmic gas cloud ("Mr. XY" himself said it was hard to tell) through three-stage evolution. It would be one of the least anthropomorpic Pokémon in existence, barely having recognisable features, but perhaps its hidden, shrouded core (think the nucleus in an atom, or a faint star in the midst of a cosmic cloud) could have the outline of a small humanoid creature.

If you rather want existing Pokémon to draw, may I suggest Garbodor? I think the main reason why it is so universally hated is its derpy face and its "Hi, there" pose. In a different pose, it could very well look more menacing. Or at least less like a dirty potato.

Ahh thanks you two! Yeah so I won't be doing any more digital art because my ipad pen broke and drawing with my fingers does not work! :p but when I get a new one, a week or so, I will do your request aswell as continuing my fakedex (which I have sketched quite a lot of now, just not digitalised! I've got quite a lot of good ideas for it so i can't wait to share it!) also thanks Andrew, every comment is really appreciated and I'm glad you like it :)

But for now, with no digital pens, I've had a go at drawing with biro! I present to you all, Quilladin!

Again, comments are appreciated, this was just a bit of fun to see if I could draw with biro. Considering I didn't have exactly the right colours, this turned out pretty good IMO? Self critique? I don't like the nose at all and the eyes are funny too, it's also a bit out of proportion but I don't really care cause it took like 10 minutes!

Also I might aswell upload my CAP entry, (which broke my pen!!!!!!)

It's been a while since I checked your art thread, it's awesome to see all your new fakemon designs, plus your current design for CAP is great :)

One thing to suggest: When preparing your images for uploading online, trim the whitespace around the main part of the image, and for simple character drawings on a white background I find 500-700px to be a good guideline for making your image easily viewable. Right now your thread loads kind of slowly and is a bit hard to scroll through. Working big is good but it's best to make a smaller copy to upload.

Thanks a lot, I deleted my mega octillery but http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/7149/bgix.jpg here it is... And about the sizes, I am using an iPad app then downloading to imgur because imageshack makes my art look pixelated but when it's my birthday in like a month, I asked for a drawing tablet for photoshop so hopefully you will see improvements all around :) thanks for looking at my art thread anyway :)

Saying goodbye to Generation 5, here is Zekrom, the legendary Deep Black Pokemon and the mascot of Pokemon White.

I am really happy with this, it took like 4 hours but I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I think I could improve on the lightning, but it is really tricky to do on an iPad and I'm sure it would be better on Photoshop when I get my tablet soon :) but I love the shading and the purple mood, maybe I went overly purple idk but goodbye gen 5 :(

New pokemon malamar lurking in the ocean (even though he is psychic/dark lol but he's still a squid)
I've decided I'm going to try and post new art every day/two days. That way I will improve quicker. I really like the sea in this but I think the ugliness of malimar ruins this. I should have done jellicent or some cute looking pokemon.
