When I joined Serebiiforums, I just registered with a random name Saif (my best friend's little brother's name). Later on, I decided to change it, I was like hmm.. my favorite type is probably the steel (wasn't sure back then), so why not "Metal power". I stayed with that name for a long time, I even used it when I first joined Smogon. Later on, I hated the fact the the "p" in power is a lower case and I wanted something different. I thought of replacing power with "Force" as it sounded "cooler" and sort "better", and here I am Metal Force.

I made this username a long time ago on GFAQS before my e-mail got screwed and I had to make another one. Basically, I'm an EB fanatic, which explains the Starman part, and the XL is simply a really bad play on the fact that there's an enemy named Starman DX, so...yeah. It's just stuck with me, as well as two of my other common usernames.
red_west because my favorite color was red and i lived in a town called with west in the name.
then i went to lemondrop7 because my initials are lem, 7 was my fav number, and on netbattle i was called sweet but sour because of how pissed off i would get when i lost.
then i came here didnt think i was actually going to become a part of smogon and just picked a retarded name because it said lemondrop7 was taken. i took lemondrop7_gf_tlf_beach (yeah i was a dick)
then when i found out that smogon wasnt this "fuck you we are the best" community, i quickly changed my name to kinglerdude24 because of my birthday and i liked kinglers
anti took me aside and told me how retarded that nick was so i sent a special request to aeolus in pm asking him to change it to kd24 because everyone called me that.

Mine is old, so I forget how I came up with it. I used it for signing up on the NSider forums back in 2004 (when they still existed, lol). And I've used it for most things since.

Back in the day when Zelda DX and Dragon Warrior Monsters and the original fat gray Game Boy were the shit, all of us poor little children were only allowed five characters in our names. This was a huge disappointment for me, since my real name (obviously Taylor) is a very hearty six characters long. So I cut it down to three, and being an impatient youngster I even realize that lower case was even an option. Fast forward a couple years, to when Pokemon Red and Blue and Game Boy Color are all the rage. Now we are allowed eleven characters, but I have used the name TAY in every other game I have played (arcade games as well, since you only get three characters when you enter a high score). So my name became TAY in the Pokemon games.
Fastforward to my sophomore year of high school. I hadn't played pokemon in a couple years, but one of my friends shows me this "cool program that lets you play pokemon online" (i.e. netbattle). I had seen the mons since I had been playing through a game once each generation, so I thought it was a pretty cool thing. so when I went home I downloaded netbattle and I played as TAY. Of course user Taylor is a fucking ADV legend and so everyone kept asking me "are you Taylor????" and at first I was like "HOLY FUCK THEY KNOW WHO I AM" but then later I realized it was ust another user...and that got old really fast so I just switched to some random other name. Two years after that (summer when I graduated high school) Pokemon Diamond and Pearl come out, and I buy them and play as TAY, and when I decided to sign up on Smogon, I chose TAY since it had been my nickname in the pokemon games and it seemed appropriate, and tbh I had forgotten about the whole Taylor thing (people still confuse us to this day =/ ). On shoddy I was Roll7 (I played a lot of MvC1 back then) and CrayonFactoryHero (there was a magic marker in my desk labeled "Crayon Factory) for a while, but when I got good the only person who could connect me to my forum name was Junior, and I wanted more internet friends, so I just played as TAY.

my first ever gaming system was a game boy advance. The first Pokemon game i ever owned was emerald. anyway, after I had beaten emerald (and thoroughly enjoyed it), I became somewhat obsesses with the battle frontier there. Think of it as something like jumpman16 except dumber. Anyway, I was starting to feel that my team (just the un-EVd pokes I had been using the entire game) was not really good enough. being relatively nerdy at that time I went and checked out the internet for how to get good Pokemon. and that's how i found out about EV training, natures, and egg groups. so yeah, as i was browsing through the serebii breeding section, I was often quite surprised at the Pokemon that could breed with each other, such as skitty and wailord. but yeah, I had wanted a wailord for my frontier team. I had also read on the serebii Pokemon of the week section that a good nature for wailord was bold. (i did not know what bold did, but it sounded good.) so then i went to my boxes to look for a bold Pokemon that could breed with wailord, and guess what i found: skitty.

The first site I ever joined was lemmykoopa.com (a Mario fansite) in 2005. I wanted a Mario character as my username but not something completely unoriginal so I chose a lesser known enemy from the game Luigi's Mansion. I stuck with the name so I wouldn't have to remember a different username for every site I joined.
I think mine's rather self-explanatory, if I do say so myself.
