In-Game Tier List Discussion

Yus! Moxieconfindence Spiral ftw. I absolutely adore that ability.
In the end I'd rather stick to my croco since babying the mole sounds like a pain at this point.
Also Shinbora getto daze. Rash nature ftw.

Well, 'Moxieconfidence Spiral' is probably the biggest selling point. Doryuuzu is good 'n all, but raising him to 19 to get Dig takes a long time, and even then, when I used it, it wasn't as amazing as everyone said it was. Plus, Doryuuzu's secondary STAB isn't as good as Croco's secondary STAB. He seems pretty beastly against the E4.

Dory's main selling point are its attack and swords dance, as well as QuakeSlide.
Croco has the 1337 ability, a somewhat diverse movepool, and an amazing secondary typing, as you said. Both have strong points.

@Overlord
You really don't want to use nitro charge and hammer arm in the same set, and this guy really needs nitro charge to fix its speed, imo.

K, Churine it is. Oh and its Own Tempo as well, so fuck yeah Petal Dance Doredia.

Opinions on Shibarudon?

Call me crazy but... it's actually ok.

yes, I just called fucking MAGIKARP ok.

just give it a lucky egg and get it to evolve; it's not too hard really. Plus Charge Beam and Spark are surprisingly potent.

Shibibisaru misses out on Discharge, Headbutt, Bind and Acid without Heart Scale. A decent trade-off, though if I wanted an Electric I'd prefer Zeburaika anyway. Gets Crunch upon evolution, so at least it still has something beyond Normal/Electric(although his entire moveset has only Normal/Electric/Poison/Dark anyway without TMs)

Side-note: FUCK YEAH I CAUGHT ZEKROM WITH 1 QUICK BALL.

Side-note 2: FUCK NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO A BOLD ZEKROM

Side-note 2A: FUCK WHAAAAAAAAAAAT 30 ATK IV 29 SPA IV

Side-note 3: From what I gathered in the various BW walkthroughs online on Youtube, and my own battle with N, I have deduced that N's Reshiram is uh, a bit weird.

Essentially:

Reshiram/Zekrom will always spam Cross Fire/Thunder against you until you use Cross Thunder/Fire, or PP runs out.
Once that happens, Reshiram/Zekrom will use Reflect/Light Screen, then Hyper Beam/Giga Impact the next turn.

Note that this is only when you opt to use Zekrom/Reshiram in N/Geechisu battle. I'm not sure how the AI works if you didn't use Zekrom/Reshiram.

After my recent playthrough, I'm of the opinion that Reguree is not Low Teir. He's probobly Low-Mid.

He has quite the offensive movepool. Psybeam, Charge Beam and Hidden Power are avaliable from the get-go.

While Reguree needs some careful babying, Oobumu is bulky enough to easily defeat most special attackers.

By the E4, my Oobumu had this moveset:
Psychic, Shadow Ball, Recover, Calm Mind

It swept Catlin, and walled, and defeated N's Reshiram. Yes, it WALLED AN UBER.

Oh, and N's AI reverts to standard AI against not Reshiram/Zerkohm. AKA: Spamming the strongest move it has avaliable. It occasionally used Reflect too.

Then it gets Trick Room post-game.

It's inferior to Yuniran, but it's a nice substitute for Black players.

Anyway, starting a new playthrough. Anyone have any suggestions for what pokemon I should test out? I'm on White, and will start with Oshawott. I'm also gonna give Mamepato a decent go. Abuse of Super Luck, Crits, Crits everywhere, but do they make up for the power? [You get the Scope Lens rather early, although holding it mean no Acrobat]

Use that Lens then: Pidove can't learn Acrobat sadly.
I felt he was plenty useable when I started with him. Sure, his Flying STAB comes of his special until you can get Aerial Ace/Fly, but Quick Attack is nice, Return comes in Raimon, and Cheer Up and Roost can be handy. Plus, Air Cutter crits a lot, so the lower Sp.Att doesn't matter THAT much. Fly is a good move ingame anyway. All in all, the Unfezant line is worthwhile ingame due to early appearance and decent utility as a team flyer.
(If only he got better moves. His stats are far from bad among the birds, he just has major Flareon syndrome.)

Ugh, I know this is out of content but I lol'd. You /might/ want to edit that later since there's likely some sensitive people around. Then again, it wasnt your intention. Screw it, I lold.

You should totally try either Whimsicott or Lilygant for grass types. If you go for Whim, look for a mischeavus heart one. If you decide on Lily, you get her from an in-game trade and will always be Modest.
The GothLoliTower is incredibly cute and totally decent ingame, so it's worth a try.

In Black, you get Monmen(suppose it's Whimsicott) in the Yagaruma Forest, and you can trade it for a Churine(Lilygant). In white, its the other way around. Since he is playing white, he wont get a Modest Churine(i'm bad at remembering names) with 20/20/20/31/20/20 IV's. <- That is awesome

On White you get Monmen from the trade, and IIRC Whimsicott refers to Erufuun. ._.

AND what
the trainers between White Forest/Black City and Soryuu have lv. 60+ Pokemon but most of them are like, unevolved. example, some youngster had the entire Beedrill line over lv 60. Including Weedle AND Kakuna.

Not. Black City's Trainers' levels are random.
>Level 68 Exploud
>Level 30 Gengar
>Level 45 Victreebel
>Level 52 Flareon
some examples from my previous file.

btw: The trianers and their pokemon are set when you begin the game. The only way to change them is to connect via High Link or restart the game. The levels are always the same, nevertheless.

For example, Exploud will always be level 68. It has no offensive moves and gives you 38,000 exp points if a traded level 1 kills it with a lucky egg, via toxic stall + taunt cause it has Rest. My Monmen grew from level 1 to 36, if I remember correctly. (Exploud knows Synchro Noise, Rest, Roar, and Sleep Talk).

Oh gawd, Bulbapedia and Serebii should change their lists now. I was messing around in Giant Hole looking for the pond to get to Kyurem when I caught a wild Clefairy. When I got back after catching it, the Clefairy had a Comet Shard. Bulbapedia says that its only held by DW Clefairy, while Serebii's page shows that 50% Leppa 5% Moon Stone. What.

(For the curious, I caught it in a wild double battle in a patch of grass, the other mon was a Piloswine.)

Besides the starter, I don't think any of the water-types this generation are very good in-game... It may be because I think a lot of them look terrible (Frog thing). Anyone agree?

For water types you get

Oshawott
Frogman
Panpour
Pringles Jr.
Ducklett
Basurao
Fossil dude
Luvdisc evo

uh well
all sucks in their own way
Daikenki has balanced stats but nothing stands out
Panpour sucks ingame with crap EXP growth
Ducklett dies to Thundershock
Pringles Jr. only comes like after you get Surf
Frogman looks stupid but is arguably your best water type, except it dies to Absorb.
Basurao looks retarded and has crappy stats, slow without Aqua Jet. >_>
Fossil dude is slow until Shell Rape, where it needs TWO Shell Rapes to actually be faster than what he has to kill.
Luvdisc evo sucks. Period.

its a bitch to train, and even if its available pre-E4 you can only get it after you get to Soryuu, where it is Level 5. Bottom of bottom tier with Meraruba for sure.

It evolves 39 levels earlier than the larva, though.
Edit: It's not a bitch to train, as it will likely evolve after a single battle since everything's level 60+.
Magicarp isn't even on the tier list tho. We're just discussin' about a guy who feels like using it.
