Inheritance [Prime Council Elected]

Thundurus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Thunder
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave / whatever your little heart desires

Inherited from Mega Pidgeot.

Thundurus + Pidgeot is fun for perfectly accurate STAB Thunder and Hurricane alongside a cool way to boost in Nasty Plot. The last slot is really for whatever you want lol

You don't get your own Movepool. So, no Nasty Plot. Or Thunder (Or does Pidgeot learn Thunder?)

or heat wave. lol. tbh, mega pidgeot with mewtwos moveset can easily fill this role...gaining hurricane, blizzard, focus blast, fire blast, psystrike and calm mind to boost. no nasty plot sadly...but theres really nothing in the teir that gains nasty plot+hurricane.

Shiftry mayt. But I think getting QD/Hurricane/Fire Blast/WillOWisp from Volcarona would help it much better.

Terrakion @ Choice Band/Choice Scarf
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Dynamic Punch
- Knock Off
- Earthquake

Inherited from Machamp, in case you didn't notice. No Guard makes this Terrakion appreciate the new Stone Edge accuracy which would no longer rob it from sweeping those pesky Charizard, and it can benefit from the comprehensive move pool which Machamp has; Knock Off in particular is beneficial for getting rid of stuff like Slowbro. Whilst Terrakion can inherit tons of other moves for the fourth slot; I decided to keep with Earthquake because it can take care of anything that resists the others, although feel free to shove in something like Ice Punch to take care of Gliscor and Landorus-T.

So levitran is a very obvious thing for this meta and I found the perfect canditate to inherit from:
Solrock.

You get Will o wisp, earth power, fireblast, morning sun and other goodies to keep heatran enjoying its delightful inheritance.
Shame it lacks flash cannon

Does heatran even run Flash Cannon normally? I'd say this is a general improvement outside of the loss of Lava Plume

Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Delta Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Dragon Ascent
- Extremespeed
- Earthquake / V-Create / Dragon STAB / Dragon Dance / Roost

Salamence, having had its Mega Evolution taken away, is now considered an unviable Pokemon in OU and shunned by many players. Being taunted and make fun of by fellow Dragon-types Dragonite, Garchomp and Altaria flourish in the OU metagame, Salamence prayed to our Lord Rayquaza that it can have the power to regain its former glory in the OU tier. Lord Rayquaza heard Salamence's prayers and blessed it with the ability Delta Stream and the addition of new moves such as Dragon Ascent, Extremespeed and V-Create.

Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Aerilate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Return
- Earthquake
- Quick Attack

Remember Mega Salamence's reign of terror in OU? This set attempts to replicate that but it exchanges Mega Salamence's bulk for a priority move in Quick Attack. Swords Dance allows Salamence to act as a powerful wallbreaker while Quick Attack allows Salamence to clean up.

Keldeo @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shell Smash
- Hydro Pump / Surf / Scald
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power / Surf / Scald

Keldeo, blessed by Lord Helix is a terrifying sweeper in the Rain with Swift Swim. It can even double its already formidable SpA and Spe with Shell Smash. Hydro Pump is Keldeo's strongest Water STAB move although Surf and Scald can be used instead for their reliability. Ice Beam hits Water and Grass types while the last slot is filler.

Keldeo @ Life Orb
Ability: Analytic / Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin / Recover

This set might be outclassed by the set in the OP but it is used as an offensive Spinner that also resists Stealth Rock (take that, Excadrill!). Standard coverage options but Rapid Spin allows you to get rid of entry hazards while Recover allows you to stick around longer.

One donor that I feel has been severely overlooked is genesect. It looks particularly devastating on mega -ate sets, as it gets download, extreme speed, and an array of coverage moves. Heres an example

Glalie @ Glalitite
Ability: Download
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Lonely/Hasty Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Flamethrower
- U-turn/Thunderbolt
- Explosion/Substitute

This pretty much nukes everything, and with that yung download boost it hits hella harder. Ate megas seem to be everywhere, but i havent seen a genesect one yet. Just wanted to throw my two cents in, but the ability to gain a boost from download, and the option to explode sets genesect apart from some of the other espeeders in the tier.

Noteable as well is gene's access to shift gear, making glalie unstoppable vs offense.

can unreleased pokemon be inherited from (for example, Hoopa's Hyperspace Hole, or Floette-E's Light of Ruin)

Terrakion is pretty cool here

Malamar (Terrakion) @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Superpower
- Knock Off
- Rock Slide
- Substitute

Get a substitute up and then spam superpower. Knock off is for ghost types and rock slide is for flying types and hitting fairies neutrally

Or if you prefer immediate power...

Lucario-Mega (Terrakion) @ Choice Band
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Crunch
- Poison Jab
- Rock Slide

This thing got banned from AAA and now it's here to reek havoc. Close Combat and Rock Slide are for STAB, crunch is for ghosts and psychics and poison jab is for fairies.

Just look at this thing destroy:
252 Atk Choice Band Adaptability Terrakion Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 222-262 (66.4 - 78.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

It still hits decently hard if it's intimidate skarmory:
-1 252 Atk Choice Band Adaptability Terrakion Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 148-176 (44.3 - 52.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Will post more calcs if I find the time

Why not Extremespeed for revenge killing? You hit Fairies hard enough with Stone Edge anyway (Lucario learns it by TM)

What does anyone think about this?

Latios, absorbing Reshiram:

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Turboblaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Blue Flare
- Focus Blast / Earth Power / Psychic
- Roost / Earth Power / Psychic

Sure, you lose Defog, but in exchange, you get a Fire move to get past the pesky Steels and Focus Blast to destroy Tyranitar. Earth Power can be used to get rid of Heatran easier than Focus Blast while Roost allows it to heal up. Walled by Fairies though although Psychic might be able to land a stronger hit.

Latios, absorbing Mewtwo:

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psystrike
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- Recover / Ice Beam / Thunderbolt

Trading Dragon STAB to get a better Psychic STAB and coverage moves. Gets past its normal counters and handles Fairies better

Ho-Oh (Landorus-T) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Earthquake
- Sacred Fire
- Roost

Brave Bird with a Focus Sash seems odd, but really, you should be able to Regenerate or Roost off that damage, and so long as you don't KO something with Brave Bird and give it the the free switch-in, this should handle a lot of the things that will inevitably be coming out to ruin its fun -- I imagine that most things running Ice Shard (and Mega Glalie) will likely be wrecked by something in Lando's moveset after it goes down to its sash, and if it gets cornered, well, it doesn't mind switching out.

Breloom (Regirock) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Spore
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Stone Edge

Just fucking annoying.

Haven't had the attention span to make a team to play this yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

So ddance aerilate lando, quiver dance intimidate manaphy, rock polish desoland heatran and speed boost (with knock off and stone edge) ttar are among the fun things I've used so far. I'll put up a post with more substance after class/whenever I feel like it, but I like the meta, this needs to be omtm like now march.

this was posted this month and is thus barred from noms in march

These first couple sets credit to Dr. Phd. BJ on PS!

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Slide
- Knock Off
- Superpower
- Aqua Jet / Switcheroo

Stallbreaker with tons of power. Often causes switches as well, allowing it to abuse its tremendously high powered stabs. Not too much to explain, but Superpower is for handling fighting types in general, which wall the set otherwise, while aqua jet can revenge kill and switcheroo cripples walls. Choose the last slot for what best fits your team, switcheroo is hard to pass up but aqua jet is the priority.

Blastoise @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 Spe
Modest Nature
- Origin Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Scald / Rain Dance

This, which looks like a genwunner fantasy that will never be all that good, is an insane wallbreaker, packing the ability to 2hko fully invested specially defensive cresselia in the rain. Blastoise having the ability to fire off mega launcher rain boosted origin pulse is amazing enough, but what makes blastoise so good is its very high bulk; 78/120/115 bulk is very high for a mon hitting that hard, and is nearly unfair to other wallbreakers, speaking for their power. Unlike the common stuff like boomburst mega altaria, this is unprepared for, and the power it packs really hurts a lot of the meta.
252+ SpA Mega Blastoise Origin Pulse vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Cresselia in Rain: 274-324 (61.7 - 72.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Mega Blastoise Origin Pulse vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mew in Rain: 456-537 (133.7 - 157.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Mega Blastoise Origin Pulse vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Chansey in Rain: 294-346 (41.7 - 49.1%) -- 82.4% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ SpA Mega Blastoise Origin Pulse vs. 36 HP / 36 SpD Geodude in Rain: 42948-50532 (204514.2 - 240628.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Some observations from early in my playing in the meta:
1. Banded Landorus-T is basically impossible to counter. Even the few counters that exist, you just u-turn away into a safe check. This thing has so much power behind its brave birds that electric resists such as thundurus can't even beat it; they are cleanly ohko'd with a little prior damage. I would support a suspect of gale wings lan-t as offensive teams are pretty much 6-0d by it if they run any support for espeeders.

2. Protean Azelf is amazing, and with a life orb, hits extremely hard. The main thing on the set I would like to point out is sucker punch; it has the same power as jolly bisharp because of protean and thats very important. You are already fast sure, but the ability to revenge kill mons with low bulk or that are set up thinking all the priority is gone is amazing.

3. Levitran isn't all it was hyped up to be, and while oh boy its a beat when used right, there are so many wallbreakers out there it finds a hard time being consistent. Its a good defogger, however, as a set of defog / roost / flamethrower / earth power is very good to glue together teams of all sorts. Its a good mon, although tbh its not worth packing mold breaker for since most moldy mons don't have the best movepools and/or their recipients would rather something else.

4. The wallbreaking megas are absolutely everywhere. I would recommend running one mon with unaware on every team that is not HO, as otherwise jolly bellyspeed pinsir-mega will literally sweep your life every single time. Even resists get OHKOd by it at +6, so be very careful with keeping it on your list of mons you always have a plan to handle.

Here's an interesting core I've been experimenting with.

Nidoking (Gengar) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast
- Taunt

This set looks simple enough to use. Taunt allows you to beat the blobs, unless they're Sableye clones... which are trapped and killed by this:

Gothbuffet (Wobbuffet) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
- Trick
- Rest
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock

The EVs maximize overall bulk after you've set up to +6 and killed the blob that you had trapped.

Here's the core in action.

Just use normal Trick+Scarf Goth, it's only inheriting Shadow Tag that's banned.

So the mon banned from AAA is now back, this time with ExtremeSpeed!

TERRAKION IS HERE @ Life Orb
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- ExtremeSpeed

I don't actually need to say more about this set, do I? (moveset enabled by banned based god mega lucario)

Nidoking (Gengar) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast
- Taunt

This set looks simple enough to use. Taunt allows you to beat the blobs.
Notably taunt does not let you beat mega sableye chansey (sorry for double post x.x)

One set that I don't think has been mentioned that could be a massive pain to deal with without unaware:
142.png

Aerodactyl (Mega Charizard X) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Belly Drum
- Acrobatics
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake

I don't really have much to say about this. Force a switch, set up, kill everything while resisting espeed and pinsir. Watch out for unaware, random scarves, ice shards, water shurikens, and pranksters, and that's really it.

+6 252 Atk Tough Claws Aerodactyl Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Cresselia: 520-613 (117.1 - 138%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+6 252 Atk Tough Claws Aerodactyl Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Suicune: 535-631 (132.4 - 156.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+6 252 Atk Tough Claws Aerodactyl Fire Punch vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Doublade: 352-416 (109.3 - 129.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+6 252 Atk Tough Claws Aerodactyl Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 390-459 (101 - 118.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

have fun

For clarification, what is the banlist for base forms? You never specified this.
For example, can I use a Kyogre with Weavile's moveset and ability
