It's returned! The place which does not exist has returned! It's Wy-Wy-Wy... WYOMING! Such a random event never occurs. Wait, there's no such place as Wyoming!

So, let's get to business shall we?

Smogon Tournament Rules (Read me!)

What is The Wyoming Tournament?

This is the third installment of The Wyoming Tournament. It is a randbat (Random Battle for you folks who are not familiar with the term of olden days). Due to the main battle simulator being Shoddy Battle, we can only use Diamond and Pearl battles, which makes everyone sad. There are rewards to placing in this tournament. Yes, I said it! Rewards!

1st Place - King of Wyoming: You rule "No Place Here". You're rather oblivious to your brother.
2nd Place - Prince of Wyoming: You are the successor of "No Place Here". You meddle too much into others affairs.
3rd Place - The King's brother: You always have a wicked scheme to kill off the King and Prince to be the new king of Wyoming but always fails due to someone or something interferring every single time.
4th Place - Queen of Wyoming: You're just there. Nobody cares about you.
5th-8th Place - Knights/Wizard/Meddling Kids: You seem to stop the King's brother despite being pathetic.
9th Place - Jester: You're the nuissance of the castle. You need to be killed, but nobody can get rid of you because the Queen enjoys your entertainment.
10th-16th Place - Palace Guards: You "protect" the palace, but you are all a bunch of ninkumpoops.
Anywhere else - Peasant: Zug zug.

General Rules
  • This tournament is completely based on luck.
  • You agree that you cannot bitch and moan about bad luck in this tournament due to the above disclaimer.
  • The Wyoming Tournament is a Double Elimination, best two out of three match style of play.
  • I will be allowing 32 Players in this tournament. If for some reason I actually do get a response of 64 players, then I'll increase the cap. Oh, there will be subs for the first round only.
  • There's no such thing as "Scouting" in Randbats. So, you can freely watch matches without any drawbacks. Even though it is just a blanket rule.
  • A log of all fought battles must be sent to Sonuis or else the match might not count!
  • Oh, it's played on Shoddy Battle which means there will only be Diamond/Pearl Randbats.
Battle Rules
  • The match must be a Random Battle.
  • Level Balance must be on (Unless it's automatically set on, I don't know).
  • Sleep Clause. Two Pokémon cannot be forcefully put to sleep at the same time by the use of moves that intentionally place Pokémon to sleep.
  • Self-KO Clause. A Pokémon may not use a Self-KO move to force a draw of a battle.
  • Timed Battle.
No, you aren't imagining anything. There is no Evasion or OHKO Clauses. Randbats are based on pure luck. Use all the moves you have to their fullest potential! Lucky you if you ended up getting a Pandora moveset!

I think I won the first one of these, so I had better play again, but random battle on shoddy is so bad, could we play on dpbot if both of us agree?

Sure. I forgot about the existence of the DPBots. Though I don't know where you could get one.
 
Psh. I've seen some of these guys play on shoddy. Pure Skill, no luck tactics at all.

In, because a) I'm awesome at random and b) It should be pretty easy making a team, so the matches should be much easier to complete.

hmmm can we allow playing on netbattle if both opponents agree to it? i sure as hell would like that!
