League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

I would personally like her passive changed so it only procs vs. champions. I don't think she needs that many changes other than that.

Agreed on her passive, though I kind of liked her buff. She'll never be as strong stat-wise as the other AD carries because of the utility she brings to the table, which is good. Being bulkier should help though, and being able to use Volley more often should be nice.

Hey, I had a question. Do you think sending Maokai mid is a decent counterpick to champs like Ryze, Karthus, and Cass? Spammy mages use their abilities often, which means a lot of sustain for you, and throwing in a Catalyst makes that even better. His abilities have a long-ish cooldowm, but his Saplings put out a ton of damage.

This terrain thing on Ezreal's and Ashe's ult, was it really needed? You aren't going to pop a 60 second ult for utility. I don't see the need for it. And I know it's a video game but, if you shot an arrow to Venus you would magically be able to see Venus?

incrreases the utility who cares its also very good to see how close you came to hitting aka getting yelled at

I'm no expert but what exactly can Maokai do with farm and what can he do to stop them from farming?

Well, Maokai easily falls into the tank role later on, so he can get that. Or I guess he could go pure AP and Sapling nuke, but meh...anyway, his Saplings actually deal quite a bit of damage, and his full combo is, what, a 2.7 ratio? Not too shabby for a tank. In addition, an early RoA and/or Rylai's makes you tankier to boot, meaning you can get a lot more out of you ult if they try to trade with you. So you can harass them into leaving you alone (Saplings have a total damage of 120 + 1 per point of AP at their first level, so you stop the farm by taking giant chunks out of their health). Overextending is a poor idea because, similar to Ryze, Maokai can set up ganks for his jungler with his CC (the stuff that makes him a good jungler). And his Saplings can clear waves after a while, so you don't have to worry about being pushed. Though you will need blue to keep up E harass. And if you happen to be on the defensive end of things, your passive should keep you around decent health. It also helps that his base AD is good, so that last hitting with AAs won't be so bad.

I don't think he can go mid against any champ (especially since he doesn't gain MR each level), but laning against someone who keeps your passive up often is amazing sustain, AND it scales with your health, as opposed to your AP; WotA users will have a hard time outsustaining you, especially since WotA got nerfed to 20% spell vamp from 25%.

Just watched the ziggs champ, and see that Roit do what they always do. How often do you see a ap champ three levels ahead and have 777 ap and not be bursty? Although I do like the look of a global ult that I sometimes wish gangplanks was.

Laned against a Ziggs as Cass. Crushed him. I was 7/2/2 when the enemy team surrendered. Shaco and Kennen came to gank me at one point. I stunned them both with R. Threw down miasma and just spammed Q&E until they both died. Was epic. What is Cass's normal DPS late game if the enemy stays in range? It has to be insane.

Ziggs's R seems alright. The burst is pretty substantial and dodging it isn't that easy if he aims it well. One game the Ziggs on my team was pretty good at cleaning up team fights with it. His bouncing bomb is probably OP if you can aim it well. Just seems like a LOT of damage for how often he can use it. Haven't seen anyone utilize his bomb pack well at all. Usually don't damage with it and almost never use the knockback well at all. One time an enemy used it to prevent my escape but I was dead regardless. His proximity mines are annoying as hell in a teamfight. They do a TON of damage if you run through most of them and the slow is crippling. Seems like a way better version of Viktor's slow.

The initial "NEED TO BUY NAO" fever is dying as I farm up IP but I'll probably still buy him.

Also: FUCK going mid against Caitlyn in solo queue. Can anyone do anything but feed her in that situation? You can't ask your team to swap* because they're all squishies who will feed her worse than you. SO ANNOYING.

*Earlier today I went mid only to see Cait. I asked our Ziggs to swap and he did. He did very well. Didn't feed her and harassed her out of farm. It was Lee Sin and I (Cass) bot and we got fed quickly and carried the hell out of the match. I feel Ziggs was MVP, though, for not feeding Cait and getting tons of assists with his R.

Some thoughts about ziggs after playing him mid for a few games.

1. He is not OP, if you think he is take Talon/LB mid vs him deny him blue and laugh as you farm him.

2. He is as blue dependent as anivia almost makes me want to build a tear but for now im sticking to a typical ap build.

3. His laning phase is decent 1-6 and once he gets the 7 min blue he enters god mode.

4. His ult has a very long range but adjusting for the travel time is difficult and will take a while to master. Down the road i see him filling a karthus kind of role with super long distance gank assists.

5. His bomb that bounces you and enemies lets you hop walls. I have yet to determine if i can bounce enemies over walls yet however.

6. His Area denial with his bomb spread is insane and if you get to throw it under a stunned target they are almost 100% dead at that point

7. His major weak points are his squishyness and his lack of a true escape. However i encourage everyone here to avoid RoA type builds and favor the more glass cannon type mage builds and abuse the crap out of his massive ranges. You should have the range to almost always stay safe in a team fight assuming you position well and noc isn't eating your face.

Might get more down when i have more experience with him and i have more than a few hours of sleep.

yo i only laned against a really bad one who spammed shit until oom but his shits easy to dodge and doesnt do a lot of damage.. that game was weird though because i had to play tristana mid vs him but hey if tristana can lane vs him i think its alright

a more skilled player would obviously be better, this dude was obviously bad. i just waited til he was oom then jumped on him so. with blue buff (he never got in lane) but he will be stupid strong

I laned against one as Vlad today...Ziggs can do good damage, but it's insanely mana-intensive. It's like the easiest way to beat him is to start boots+3 pots and run around, becoming insanely aggressive when he runs low. Not to mention that Vlad is Vlad though, so I just had to wait for some gold to do more damage and heal (Revolver). I definitely agree with everyone's assessment; don't let him get blue. The only reason he doesn't demolish a lane is because he doesn't have the mana to do so. I'm guessing you'll need mp5/lvl yellows, the mp5 mastery, and a couple of Doran's Rings to stay in lane as Ziggs.

His ult is insane though. There you are, minding your business and then "is that a gray skull? Shit, I should HOLY FUCKING HELL THAT'S A FUCKING BOMB HURTLING TOWARD MY TINY BODY SHIT SHIT SHI-" dead. The ratio is fine, it's just that massive radius that's insane. Leading people with it? No need, it's wide enough to catch everyone in a teamfight.

You realize his ult does significantly less damage if you aren't in the center of it right?

How effective would Rylai's be for Ziggs in teamfights? Yeah, it'd be 15% on everything, but he can hit entire teams frequently in the jungle and it stacks with mines.

I like rylai's on him - the stackable slow on his E alone makes it a worthwhile investment.

I've been going: Deathcap / Rylai's / Lich Bane / void staff / hourglass / boots

Lich Bane i feel is a good investment because A.) he has a 575 attack range so even though his bomb is like 800-900 range on a full bounce, he doesn't have to get TOO close to the enemy to use it and B.) he's already encouraged to auto attack due to his passive so why not make it even more worthwhile.

I'm teribad with carries, so when I'm an AD Carry should I just farm bot all mid game and not teamfight? I did that last night, our team held towers till I got Greaves, BT, IE, and BC. I came in and completely destroyed their team. But, if I did that again, I'm not sure it would work. The only one that comes to mind as an early teamfighter is Sivir.

For ad carrys if you are unsure of when to farm and when to go help your team just do what the other ad carry is doing. If hes with his team you should be as well 90% of the time. When in doubt of where exactly he is and what hes doing find the safest place to farm and go.

yo guys

would lich bane be viable on poopy poppy

Lichbane is very good on ap poppy, although hybrid poppy is better overall since she can do pretty much the same thing as ap poppy, except she can also do more.

Like one time the other team was doing baron and I was the only one alive, so I charged into all 5, tried to steal with Q since It hit for like 900 damage at that point but they still got baron. So I ulted the ad carry, Q+E+Ignited him and I knew ignite would finish him off, so I turned to the ap carry and three shotted them, then finally I killed the support as my ult wore off. I mean 1v5 while the other team has baron and killing three, thats the power of Hybrid Poppy. Ap poppy, probably just walks away with one kill in that situation

Probably hardest pseudo-carry game I've done. Rumble afk'ed beginning of game. Didn't realize it until I was at red (He was sitting in brush next to red). So i went top against Irelia, who fed me first blood. A minute later he was back. Mid got fucked by fiddle/fizz. Rumble was 3 lvl's behind when he came back so I camped top while fiddle camped our mid. Fiddle messed up soraka/cass laning phase, while I simply fed rumble top, and made Irelia useless all game.

Entire late game was pretty much me initializing and stopping fiddle from ulting (He did get a successful ult once in a team fight, but he was quickly killed). Luckily their trist was bad or it would have been harder in team fights. We ended up taking second baron, then quickly acing them few seconds later before pushing mid and winning game.

Lich Bane procs are physical damage. You don't have to buy a Void Staff if you're buying LB.

2. He is as blue dependent as anivia almost makes me want to build a tear but for now im sticking to a typical ap build.

However i encourage everyone here to avoid RoA type builds

I agree about the range thing but regardless, Rod of Ages is exactly why Tear/Archangel's is all but useless on everyone but a select few champions. Catalyst also sustains you and upgrading to RoA gives you enough flat mana that even most mana-intensive casters (Kassadin, the aforementioned Anivia, etc.) can get along well enough without resorting to Tear, which isn't even useful until your first recall afterward. Your reward is an assload of Health, where Tear/AaS give you NO other stats at all. Maybe that's why you squish so easily. ;o

If you don't want to put off other items that long, you can just turn the Catalyst into a late-game Banshee's or buy a Chalice for less than a Tear. Both also give you a buffer against being bursted down, assuming you're laning against a typical AP mid since Chalice gives MR and not HP, in addition to being comparable mana sustain.
