SPOILERS! Legends ZA Data Dumps - Adding Info to OP

I still believe that both Max and Tera should require specific held items to begin with.

Yeah there is the whole raid play, but the high level ones are just boring optimization fests.

Anyway, megas my beloveds, shame there is no ability data pretty much (although Aura Break Mega Zygarde does it for me ngl). I suppose Alolan Raichu won't be able to go Mega either come the DLC.

Still, would have enjoyed megas for regionals. Artillery cannon Slowbro-G would rock.

Looks like Galarian Slowbro cannot Mega Evolve into Mega Slowbro.
We all knew it'd be how it works, but it saddens me that they actually confirm it :(

Rip hopes and dreams of mega glowbro
Though water/dragon is an ever so slightly better typing than water/dark even if both dual typings are cracked
160 atk may be just enough to just be a terrifying stall breaker.

It really REALLY needs a new dragon stab and ideally a higher power water stab too..
(Curious of if the ability will stay Sheer Force or gain something like Strong Jaw)

Literally the first thing the NatDex did this gen was quickban Shedinja because that thing was clearly never meant to be allowed to use Tera. Extrapolate from there.

The tier is "if dexit never happened". To criticize it for following this logic simply and banning broken threats as they happen... is a take for sure. (but let's not drag the thread down with this anyways because it's not related so I'm stopping here)

It's kinda hard to tell how good mega feraligatr will be but it reminds me a lot of mega Gyarados where it really becomes a demon once set up, but even moreso

Though water/dragon is an ever so slightly better typing than water/dark even if both dual typings are cracked

Other than having less special bulk and more physical bulky it seems like just a better mega Gyarados in most ways since it gets more coverage and priority in aqua jet that mega Gyarados really wished it had

Depends on the ability. Strong Jaw would be a good choice, boosting its most common coverage to good levels. Defensively though, Water/Dark is a better typing with more resists and useful neutral coverage.

If it keeps 160 attack AND sheer force....one DD and we gonna be cryin

Regarding Nihil Light (big story spoilers):
Lysandre straight up says that "the move that Zygarde used when it Mega Evolved reminds of the Z-Moves used in the Alola Region". This is pretty big, since it's literally a Mega using a Z-Move-like, particularly for Champions lol although there's also a theory being thrown around that maybe Core Enforcer turns into Nihil Light when Zygarde Mega Evolves, as Core Enforcer has no secondary effect in this game. I can't confirm that, though.
Regarding the returning character (VERY BIG story spoilers):
After AZ dies, he leaves a Poké Ball with Lucario to you, saying a trainer, explicity said to be female, left to him so that he could defend himself, so it's most likely her. Also, in that same letter that he left, he says he also remembers "when that dark day fell over Galar", which is another fun reference since he indeed should be alive for the original Darkest Day.
Giving a follow-up to this because I think it adds good context on Zygarde on SM/USUM, as well as its role on the original XY (again, big spoilers for ZA):
The comparison to Z-Moves is also because Zygarde supposedly got to Alola because it was protecting Pokémon from the light of the Ultimate Weapon back in XY and parts of it were scattered to other places, and there, it gathered the power from that land, resulting in Nihil Light. This is the exact dialogue from Lysandre:

Lysandre earlier also mentions that, despite not remembering much, he does remember Zygarde was the one who saved him. It's also why we only see half of Zygarde on XY, since we only encounter it after the Ultimate Weapon event happens.

Remember how in PLA the damage calculation was tweaked to the point the lower rolls of an Alakazam would overlap with the upper rolls of a Weedle when using the same special move (well, 'mons with their special attack).

Details about the moves would likely not be relevant going forwards, gameplay is different in this game, like it was in Mystery Dungeon for instance.

So it sounds like the speed boost will be temporary unlike the offence/defence boosts…

VERY interesting, thank you!
To be fair, all stat increases/decreases are temporary in this game just like in LA, so that part was to be expected. But it does feel as though boosting Speed was originally not possible, and they later added that back in once they tied the stat to how quickly move refreshing happens.

This means Agility must be a way to make your moves refresh at an increased rate in this game. Depending on how quickly it boosts refreshing, it might be an indispensable move for certain late-game bosses.

The fact they actually acknowledged Zygarde showing up in Alola and implicitly tied that into its new Z-A material instead of just ignoring it... This rocks dude, it's so rare to see Pokemon do clever retcons like this

I know there isn't the option to disable it, but according to some guy citing one of the people livestreaming it it might not have auto-save in the first place.

EVs and IVs seem to just be regular EVs and IVs. Bottle caps exist and the EV reset NPC/Lady Clear exists (using mega shards now).

That is real interesting. Was thinking they were going to way of Legends Arceus with GVs. I recall Legends Arceus technically had IVs and EVs, but they didn't do anything in game. It came down to the GVs.

In ZA, they just work like regular IVs and EVs in game?

Well that answers that then. Autosave is in fact a thing and can't be disabled. Do we at least know what can trigger Autosave?

Lame. I like having the option for both.

I am absolutely enthralled by these lore drops. People have been theorizing for years that Zygarde and the Ultimate Weapon had some connection to Alola and potentially the Darkest Day in Galar. Glad we have confirmation that even the newer lore of the Pokémon world has had global consequences.!
