SPOILERS! Legends ZA Data Dumps - Adding Info to OP

I know but is there a glimse of idea if we will be able to get other forms somehow?

Most likely, as mentioned, through Pokémon HOME next year. The only other possibilities would be an event distribution or a post-launch patch of some kind, but we would have no way of knowing such things were coming.

I recall seeing Serebii say that each size form can indeed be an alpha. I would assume that they would differ visually, but I can’t personally say that for sure.
the catch a jumbo pumpkaboo quest giver says outright that you can't really tell what variety an alpha is, thus why she doesn't accept alphas for the quest.

I guess Alpha Small is bigger than any Jumbo... Still wondering about the biggest Non-Alpha Small compared to the smallest Jumbo.

There's an way to tell the size of an Alpha if you haven't changed the moveset yet. You know how every Alpha knows a TM move? Each size has a different move. Small knows Psychic, Medium knows Flamethrower, Large knows Dark Pulse, and Jumbo knows Rock Slide.

Side Note: I'm pretty sure Hydro Pump is a TM in this game just so there's a TM for Alpha Magikarp. It was either that or Bounce and the "Oh crap!" moment from a Wild Magikarp using Hydro Pump is funnier.

ability guesses based on flavor, spread, designs, base mons

M-Clef: Magic Guard
M-Victree: Chlorophyll
M-Starmie: Pure Power
M-Dragonite: Sheer Force (Don't at all believe it for a second, but based on dex entry, Soul Hear–– nvm)
M-Meganium: Solar Power
M-Gator: Strong Jaw (Dragon's Maw)
M-Starmie: Pure Power
M-Skarmory: Sharpness?
M-Froslass: Snow Warning / Perish Song
M-Boar: ? possibly Reckless
M-Drill: has to be Sand Rush, surely, but dex entry seems to be aligned with Mold Breaker
M-Scrafty: reskinned version of Fur Coat, Intimidate would be crazy though
M-Eelektross: surely Levitate
M-Chandy: no way they finally give it Shadow Tag, especially as M-Gengar already has it, maybe Cursed Body/Infiltrator
M-Chesnaught: Bulletproof
M-Delphox: Levitate
M-Greninja: Protean or Adaptability
M-Pyroar: Sheer Force
M-Eternal: possibly something unique to it
M-Malamar: Contrary / Neuroforce
M-Barbaracle: Tough Claws, possibly Anger Shell
M-Dragalge: Adaptability
(does M-Dragalge's dex entry hint at what I think it does or am I reading into it too much?)
Hawlucha: no idea, maybe Iron Fist?
M-Zygarde: probably something unique to it
M-Drampa: Berserk or a Dragon-type Electromorphosis
M-Falinks: Defiant
so a bunch of these abilities ended up being the ones used for the PLZA Petmod. Go me, lol.

An aspect of the base game Megas that isn't brought up enough is how excluding both starter sets, Floette and Zygarde you have exactly 18, with each one corresponding to a type. Falinks represents Fighting, which means Hawlucha is the Flying slot, which in turn means Skarmory is meant to represent Steel, etc.

Bug: Scolipede
Dark: Scrafty
Dragon: Dragonite
Electric: Eelektross
Fairy: Clefable
Fighting: Falinks
Fire: Pyroar
Flying: Hawlucha
Ghost: Chandelure
Grass: Victreebel
Ground: Excadrill
Ice: Froslass
Normal: Drampa
Poison: Dragalge
Psychic: Malamar
Rock: Barbaracle
Steel: Skarmory
Water: Starmie

With this logic in mind I looked at the datamined DLC roster. Given that we know both Raichus remain pure Electric we have.... 18 slots again. Doesn't seem coincidental! Here's my best attempt to map them out and decipher what type additions we might see:
Bug: Golisopod
Dark: Darkrai
Dragon: Baxcalibur
Electric: Raichu X & Y, Zeraora
Fairy: Magearna
Fighting: ???
Fire: Heatran
Flying: ???
Ghost: Golurk
Grass: Scovillain
Ground: Garchomp Z
Ice: Crabominable
Normal: Staraptor
Poison: Glimmora
Psychic: Chimecho, Meowstic
Rock: Glimmora
Steel: Lucario Z
Water: Tatsugiri

My conclusions are thus:
-Absol Z, Zeraora and either Chimecho or Meowstic will gain a new type (all these make sense given the unlikelihood they'd double up on monotypes across different mons, and it would make more sense for Absol to gain a new type instead of Darkrai to differentiate from its original Mega)
-Fighting, Flying and either Poison or Rock will be what they gain (Remember, using the scheme Glimmora is meant to be the rep for only one of the two despite being dual type, I also can't see anyone gaining Normal hence why Staraptor is in that slot and not Flying)
-If Lucario and Garchomp Z change types, it'll most likely be Fighting and Dragon respectively that get replaced (If Garchomp were to lose Ground Golurk would become the Ground rep, leaving nobody primarily meant as Ghost)

Psychic/Flying Chimecho checks out flavor-wise (Wind Rider would be a home run for its ability) while Electric/Fighting Zeraora would fit into the Mega Charizard X mold of meathead fanservice. Dark/Poison Absol feels like an off-kilter but semi-plausible twisting of its flavor. If there's some other possible configuration lemme know because I'm too tired to figure one out right now

Zeraora Electric Fighting makes sense.

I disagree with Chimecho gaining Flying type, however. No wings, nothing that resembles Flying, not a single Flying move learned. It would have to either get Aerilate or a lot of movepool addition. What Chimecho might actually get is Ghost. Levitates and found on Mount Pyre originally, among the Shuppets and Duskulls.

If there absolutely has to be a Flying slot, Absol has the best shot. Its original Mega already has Wings, so they might double into that. It learns Air Slash, Aerial Ace and Bounce, that should be enough, though they might add Hurricane since its a natural disaster.

The PLZA what? Didn't hear of that

I'll be super disappointed if Lucario is the Steel mon rather than the Fighting mon. It being 99% Fighting and still seeming to count for "we have a Steel type represented, don't need another one" is exactly why I don't like it. You're telling me that there's a significant chance that line of thought is actually happening?

I think Garchomp becoming the Flying type rep is not impossible given it does fly in the air (somehow)
maybe this new mega garchomp just becomes steel/dragon and fully turns into a jet lol

I think also that Lucario losing the Steel type is a lot more likely than it losing the Fighting type. Could become pure Fighting or Fighting/Psychic

Counter-point: It is a wind chime. Just give the base form Air Slash like Clefable got.

Yeah I also thought that seemed strange but again I can't deduce an alternate configuration (this would lead to losing either the Fairy or Grass rep slot, I could see someone else maybe getting the former but certainly not the latter. Remember, official Megas are generally much conservative with type changes). Most likely outcome imo is that Lucario remains Fighting/Steel

that's true but I feel like if they are revisiting Absol, Garchomp, and Lucario that they are going to get wild with them otherwise it feels like there's no point, especially given the megas for those 3 were already just "make them more what they already were"

this is also like alternate hyperspace lumiose so the odds of all the new megas in the dlc being weird or out there are higher than normal

random thing I thought of is that Golisopod might lose its Water typing much like Barbaracle did.
