Life Orb is still bad in Linked lol, but Toxicroak sounds like an anti-meta threat for sure. It would probably fit well in B or B- Rank.
Expert Belt, then. Still can't beat boosted Clef unless it's been worn down, but it's a physical attacker that keeps Clef from switching in, which is always nice.

Though Toxicorack learns Taunt, and Quagsire doesn't usually run a ground move, except for The Immortal .-.

So since FakeTurn used to be one of the most common playstyles in Linked and is still very good and annoying to unprepared teams, I thought I'd give a bunch of ways to counter it :D

Inner Focus
Inner Focus obviously means you can't be flinched. The best Inner Focus Pokemon are Dragonite (if you are willing to forgo Multiscale), Lucario, Mega Gallade (it's finally useful !_!) and Kangaskhan. To get you started, here is a set than completely sweep teams that rely solely on FakeTurn:

Dragonite @ Leftovers
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 52 HP / 252 Atk / 204 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Sky Drop
- Earthquake/Fire Punch/Roost/Extremespeed
- Earthquake/Fire Punch/Roost/Extremespeed

The given EVs outspeed max speed Jolly Scarf Ampibom at +2. Sky Drop is STAB and is SE on many of the most common FakeTurners (such as Infernape and Mienshao). The other moves are coverage, priority, or healing, you can choose whatever you want. Sky Drop is usually bad as it takes 2 turns, but in this case it allows you to get 2 DDs up while still attacking. TheBlueFiretruck was the first person to use this iirc, and it is a very good strategy to counter FakeTurn.
Anyway, next is priority. Priority goes before FakeTurn so any priority users get 2 hits on the FakeTurners. Some priority users are Infernape, Weavile, Dragonite, the Hitmons, Mega Medicham, Aegislash, Toxicroak, Breloom, Lucario, Raichu, and Mega Pinsir, with a variety of combinations including Fake Out, Extremespeed, Feint, Quick Attack, Bullet Punch, Mach Punch, Sucker Punch, and Aqua Jet.

Aegislash. Pretty simple, this just kills all FakeTurn teams. King's Shield + hitting with priority + immune to Fake Out, etc. Can be rekted by non-Choiced Infernapes that choose to run WoW though.

Ghosts in general. Immunity to Fake Out and resistance to U-Turn ruins the strategy. The best ones are probably Aegislash, Gengar, and Chandelure due to their power and all 4x resisting U-Turn. Golurk could potentially be used as well if you hate Raichu, and Banded EdgeQuake/Dynamic Punch with No Guard seems like a decent set now that I think about it o.o

Protect. It stops Fake Out cold and causes the opposing team to lose momentum. It also gives you a free turn to set up or attack.

Residual damage. Iron Barbs (from Ferrothron) deals out 1/4 HP in damage, and it resists Fake Out/Volt Switch and is neutral to U-Turn while having massive bulk allowing it to tank many of these. If you slap a Rocky Helmet on it (or tbh any defensive Pokemon such as Amoonguss, Clefable, or Garchomp [who also has Rough Skin]) then it's basically over for the FakeTurners--they die really quickly.

So this is just a list of ways to beat FakeTurn in Linked easily, and you should always be packing at least one of them so as not to get overwhelmed by this strategy. I hope it helps people :D

Also, fast Scarfers such as Noivern, Whimsicott, Tornadus-Therian, Weavile, Alakazam, Aerodactyl, Accelgor, Dugtrio, Swellow, Crobat, Hawlucha, and Jolteon all can outspeed and kill FakeTurn Pokemon.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Too lazy to find it, but DD+Sky Drop Dragonite is now unusable due to 2-turn moves being banned. ESpeed/Aqua Jet sets can still be used to hurt FakeTurners, however.

Ditto is a niche. It is a pokemon that literally only has one and one ability. There is no other playstyle you can run with Ditto. It's the most predictable and easy to use pokemon ever. It's only as good as your opposing team, making it impossible to build around. It's amazing against offence but useless against stall, making it pretty meh in general. It has a niche in being the only pokemon that can do its job, that should not equal a B rank. D rank since it all depends on the pokemon it faces

so yeah this set is pretty obvious. just PerishTrap them and abuse Prankster to use Protect and Priority Substitute. Not that much explanation
This only fails on enemy Pokemon with Taunt, Volt Switch or U-Turn or other priority moves besides Fake Out. Also fails on Ghost types and well.... Soundproof. Not that many ways to beat this thing actually. I think this Murkrow would be perhaps B rank (at least)

I haven't seen it or used it, but the point is, since linked is a very offensive metagame, ditto is useful. Yes, its useless against stall, but stall is complete trash here. Being weak, ditto probably shouldn't have a high ranking, but definitely not as low as D.

Don't forget, any physical attacker will wipe the floor with Shuckle. If you don't have TR set up, they'll KO shuckle before it gets to attack on the second turn. If you do, the'll KO it after it Power Tricks, again, before you get to attack:

You might be able to get one KO with a Power Trick + Stone Edge link, but you'd be an easy target afterwards. Power Trick + Shell Smash is more viable, but you'll still be too slow to KO anyone. It shouldn't be more than B rank, IMO, and I might even suggest C. That said, I'd like to see some replays of it in action with a good team supporting it.
The reason Shuckle is ranked B- is its ability to take a hit, and setup Stealth Rock + Sticky Web, not because of the powertrick set, which is probably not as good.
 
Smeargle for sure belongs in the high tiers of the viability rankings, quick pass is so easy to pull off and the "selecting linked move to take away two sleep turns" has been fixed, so it's an amazing mon.

Quick pass is honestly one of Smeargle's less effective sets. Smeargle is most effective at putting stuff to sleep and setting hazards. In particular it can do things like spikes/toxic spikes + copycat to lay 2 at a time, effectively achieving maximum toxic spikes in 1 turn. Even then it's never going to be high tier because it has no offensive presence (unless you do some gimmicky endeavor set or something), and hazards/passing is the only thing it can do. Not only that but the focus sash it could originally run in Standard is now much less useful.
 
I'm honestly surprised to see that Mega Beedrill isn't ranked at all. It can effectively run a dual STAB set with U-turn (or Knock Off + U-turn), which is a pretty good niche since it's pretty much the only viable user of STAB U-turn in a link. It can also safely get up Toxic Spikes with Toxic Spikes + U-turn, which is amazing support for set-up sweepers that benefit from the crippling of Quagsire / Clefable. Swords Dance + Poison Jab is really threatening and actually viable in Linked whereas it's basically useless in OU since it's difficult to set up with crippling bulk. It's one of the few Swords Dance users that can actually get through Unaware Clefable and has the potential to poison Quagsire switch-ins. Outspeeding Mega Lopunny is a pretty cool plus as well. I wouldn't rank it any higher than B/B- though since it's a bee a Stealth Rock weakness on something with U-turn isn't hot and it's pretty vulnerable to Rocky Helmet + Rough Skin/Iron Barbs.
 
So Ditto is special. But there's why I want Ditto in D rank (Why isn't this made yet?)

Ditto is a niche. It is a pokemon that literally only has one and one ability. There is no other playstyle you can run with Ditto. It's the most predictable and easy to use pokemon ever. It's only as good as your opposing team, making it impossible to build around. It's amazing against offence but useless against stall, making it pretty meh in general. It has a niche in being the only pokemon that can do its job, that should not equal a B rank. D rank since it all depends on the pokemon it faces

Even tho ditto is very predictable and you know exactly what it does, its what makes it actually good;
It adds enormous pressure on the team because it pretty much checks all the setup sweeping at get go.

The moment you see ditto on the foe's team is the moment you need to start playing carefully if your own stabs aren't resisted, otherwise you will get revenge killed/sweeped by your own mon.
And considering the nature of the meta game, ditto is just brutal due of the offensive power present.
 
OK, so can we maybe get Lanturn ranked in B- / C+? Soak + Volt Switch is a nice momentum grabber, and it does a hefty amount of damage. It's also a good switch-in to the ever present Scald or Volt Switch.

One loss, one win, but Shuckle did a number to them. It's pretty fun to use I think.

Edit: turns out I'm dumb enough to forget to save replay of other battles where Shuckle got a kill at least. But I can say if used properly, it works.

Hey, I just happened to be glancing at your rankings and noticed that megazam doesn't have a ranking. I think that he could be pretty good in this meta, especially if you linked say psychic or calm mind and dazzling gleam.
 
Does the recharge status from Hyper Beam or Giga Impact, etc., cause the second linked move to fail? My Sylveon was unable to use Baton Pass after a Hyper Beam.

Yeah, recharging moves will not work well in a link. If you link the recharging move first, the second move fails every time. If you link the recharging move second, the first move fails on your recharging turn. Source: My testing.

EDIT: somehow double quoted or something, fixed it
