Defiant/Thick Fat/Own TempoIntimidate

New Moves: Superpower

  • Great combination of attack and speed.

  • Dark type because Purugly is described as being very mean, as well as stealing other Pokemon's nests.

  • Intimidate 'cause Purugly is said to cinch its waist with its tails to look bigger and intimidate its foes.

  • Superpower allows Purugly to hit most steel types super effectively.

  • Very frail. Typing leaves it 4x weak to very common fighting types. Any attacker that can take a hit can KO back.

Limber/Unburden/PranksterPrankster

New Moves: Focus Blast

  • Decent mixed attacking stats to go along with an amazing speed stat.

  • Prankster plus Liepard's fantastic speed means that it's guaranteed to go first when using a status move.

  • Focus Blast gives Liepard some coverage since it pretty much lacked any before.

  • Hilariously frail. The fact that offensive sets will have to go mixed due to Liepard's poor attacking movepool means that it has to lower one of its defensive stats even further.

  • Doesn't have the greatest overall power which causes Liepard to lose out on many KOs that it would love to have.

SpA: 65 → 65 (0)

SpD: 70 → 80 (+10)

Spe: 92 → 119 (+27)

Intimidate/Moxie/Anger PointIntimidate

  • Sky high attack and above average speed tier.

  • Good physical bulk, backed up by Intimidate, gives Krookodile several chances to switch in.

  • Ground/dark is a pretty lousy typing defensively, leaving Krookodile weak to common fighting, water and ice type attacks, not to mention grass, fairy and bug.

  • Special bulk is decent but not amazing and there are a lot of powerful special attackers in OU such as Heatran, Keldeo and Latios.

Stats-

HP: 71
Atk: 82 -> 133 (+51)
Def: 64
SpAtk: 64 -> 73 (+9)
SpDef: 59
Speed: 112 -> 152 (+40)
Ability: Tough Claws
Move Additions: Moonblast, Earthquake
Description: This fat cat just got a whole lot meaner. But, despite it's temper, this kitty is very friendly towards it's owner, and, has a nice side. This nice side is reflected in it's Fairy-type, which also gives it good STAB in Play Rough and Moonblast (and the all important Charm, too). But, you wouldn't like it when it's on it's mean side, however, which is why I gave it the ability Tough Claws. Make it mad, and it will tear into you with powerful Physical Attacks like Return, Fake Out, Quick Attack, Play Rough, Aerial Ace, U-Turn, Wake-UP Slap, and Knock Off. It's also big enough to cause Earthquakes now, so that's a plus.

SpDef: 50 -> 72 (+22)
Speed: 106 -> 136 (+30)
Ability: Prankster
Move Additions: Slack Off, Baton Pass
Description: Liepard is still up to it's old tricks, keeping both it's Dark-typing and Prankster. This sly kitty also received a nice boost to Speed, outspeeding Mega Lopunny. Liepard also gained big boosts to Attack, to hit pretty hard for a support mon, and Special Defense, allowing it to take hits slightly better. It gains less in Defense and Special Attack, however 98 SpAtk still hits hard with a Nasty Plot boost. Speaking of Nasty Plot, It can now utilize Pranskter and the combination of Nasty Plot/Baton Pass to help it's teammates. It can also use Slack Off for longevity on other support sets.

SpAtk: 65 -> 55 (-10)
SpDef: 70 -> 80 (+10)
Speed: 92 -> 122 (+30)
Ability: Strong Jaw
Move Additions: Ice Fang
Description: Krookodile, the thug that it is, has immense power on it's side, with a huge boost to Attack and Speed for sweeping ability. It also has a noticeable boost to its bulk, now having decent 95/100/80 bulk, which can be pretty good when uninvested.
A PokeDex entry from Black states: "They never allow prey to escape. Their jaws are so powerful, they can crush the body of an automobile." ... 0_0... Yeah, this thing's jaws are POWERFUL, so it now has Strong Jaw and Ice Fang to take advantage of it. Strong Jaw boosted Crunch is also a now powerful option over Knock Off, too, if removing items isn't super important.

New Moves: Fire Fang and Superpower
Description: Grouchy cat with big sharp claws. With Defiant pre-mega, it can discourage the use of Defog. Strong priority in Fake Out and Sucker Punch paired with Return as a STAB option and Fire Fang/Superpower for coverage makes Mega Purugly very threatening in tandem with Tough Claws.

Attack: 152 (+35)
Defense: 105 (+25)
Special Attack: 85 (+20)

Speed: 97 (+5)
Description: With 97.5 and 100 base power STAB moves boosted by Adaptability, Mega Krookodile becomes a very threatening pokemon. The few things that resist it can be dealt with via Sludge Bomb (hence the increased SpA), Aerial Ace and Stone Edge. To stop it from being too strong like Mega Lucario, I've given it a relatively low speed making it fairly easy to revenge kill.

-Superpower
HP: 71
Atk: 82 --> 132
Def: 64 --> 94
SpA: 64
SpD: 59
Spe: 112 --> 132
Description: A fat tabby cat, after Mega Evolution Purugly becomes so lazy it doesn't even care about secondary effects, and just attacks with Sheer Force! Sheer Force is an amazing ability on Mega Purugly, boosting up moves like Play Rough and Zen Headbutt and letting it switch from Return to the good ol' Body Slam, which gets a bit stronger than it, with it not to mention now having access to Superpower to deal with Steels and Rocks. Despite its fatty appearance and said before lazy nature, Mega Purugly is very fast, and with moves like U-Turn it can become quite frightening. Mega Purugly does suffer from having a pretty wide array of moves to choose though, not to mention the best setup move it has is Hone Claws.

HP: 64
Atk: 88 --> 123

SpD: 50

Description: A nimble and quick thief with a cute look masquerading evil intents. Still a Prankster, this loitering thief still know the time to run off, now learning Parting Shot. As a thief who steals at the light of the moon, Liepard eventually learned how to concentrate a deadly Moonblast! Liepard continues frail as heck, but with solid dual attacking stats, blistering speed and priority Parting Shot, this crook can annoy and kill! Parting Shot makes Mega Liapard lovely on teams that'd love some momentum. While a common Mega Liepard set would probably include Knock Off and Play Rough, even with its frailty, the pressure of a Parting Shot can lead to a special/mixed set with Nasty Plot and Dark Pulse, Moonblast and Shadow Ball/Grass Knot, which can make Liepard very threatening under a boost.

Well, just to tell you, I pretty much sure you actually don't know how to do this. Mega Purugly has +80, which is less that usual, and gave Leipard +130, which is more. Did them up and it'll be better.

Actually, I forgot to point out the Speed boost M Purugly gets, which does complete 100, though you are correct about M Liepard, I'll fix it once I get to a PC, so thanks!

New Moves: Glare, Superpower
Description: Damn the Ability limit for being just too low, I had the grand idea to give this Fur Coat; and its base defenses are too low for another defensive plan. Instead, we'll just go the Contrary Superpower route (its evolutionary progression is pretty contrarian). Glare is there because it has a tendency to glare at things and cats have similar eyes to reptiles.

New Moves: Swords Dance
Description: Ladies and gentlemen, meet Excadrill 2.0. I was gonna give it Mold Breaker, but Knock Off deals with many of the Pokemon it would want that for, so instead I enhanced its sand swimming properties. It doesn't have the best type synergy with sand setters, but even outside the sand it has a great typing, Intimidate pre-mega and physical bulk post-mega, is as fast as Garchomp, and now carries Swords Dance to rip walls apart.

New Moves: Psycho Cut, Parting Shot
Description: The idea is that you get one turn of Prankster that is enhanced by being able to bypass Substitute, and from then on you strike with Liepard's improved Attack stat and dual STAB options. In a pinch it can stop most non-ESpeed setup sweepers, be it by crippling them with Thunder Wave or locking them into their setup move. Parting Shot also gives base Liepard a new option for pivoting. The boosted to Special Defense might let it switch into Dark Pulses and Encore them, but it's mostly because I don't want to put more points into anything else. Liepard's strengths are more about everything other than stats.

New Moves: Nuzzle, Volt Tackle
Description: Frazzled with static cling, Mega Purugly is almost like the Electric Talonflame. A scary mon spreading untauntable priority paralysis or Volt Tackling, eat a dick Pikachu! Okay, seriously though, to justify this, consider the fact that Purugly can't eat through defensive ground types very well. Hippo makes you his bitch, as would Rhydon/perior. You can barely 3HKO Hippo and that's if he forgets any form of sustain. Meanwhile, you're almost 2HKOed by his Quake, yet a Sandstorm makes that even more likely. Don't be cute and think Water Pulse will save you, it won't.

252 Atk Purugly Volt Tackle vs. 252 HP / 16+ Def Regirock: 93-109 (25.5 - 29.9%) -- 0.2% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Ok, I'll work up a justification if I'm allowed to.

Well Ludicrousity it's a tad hypocritical to call my 4.5 unacceptable even though it probably wouldn't be A+ tier because of defensive Ground types.

Anyway I gave that as balance based justification if it is acceptable.

Description: Purugly can be distinguished from other Normal-types by its huge array of Dark-type moves and access to Hypnosis. It's Mega forme gains STAB on those attacks, which include a powerful Knock Off and priority with Sucker Punch. With No Guard, Purugly gains perfect accuracy on Hypnosis as well as expanding its use of viable attacks to include Iron Tail (which now covers its Fairy weakness). Being able to put foes to sleep gives Purugly breathing room to set up, so it learns Bulk Up and adds Superpower to its arsenal for a quick, highly damaging Fighting-type move.

The new Poison typing reduces the damage from Mach Punch and gives Liepard the ability to absorb Toxic Spikes and avoid being poisoned.
