Movepool Additions: None
Description: Gastrodon-West-Mega is a threat. It may not have many tools in its bag, but Water/Ground/Ice/Poison covers most of the bulky attackers and walls in OU, and it has enough special attack that it doesn't need type advantages on the frail stuff, it' too bulky to be one-shotted without a grass move and it has Recover. Problem is, no matter what you give up for Recover, you're dropping the ability to hit something.

Magcargo:

Fire / Rock ---> Fire / Steel
Magma Armor / Flame Body / Weak Armor --> Stamina

HP: 60
Atk: 50
Def: 120 --> 180
SpA: 90--> 115
SpD: 80--> 105
Spe: 30 --> 20

New Moves: Flash Cannon / Volt Switch

Flavor: Diving deep into the Earth caused it's body to absorb iron rather than minerals. It has a metal shell with cracks that glow white-hot. Volt Switch is a bit of stretch but some Steel-types do get it. Let's just say it's an egg move from Alola Golem, who is made of iron-rich volcanic rock.

Competitive: Fire/Steel remedies the very poor typing. Magcargo gets Recover / Stealth Rock / Lava Plume which gives it potential as a support tank. Stamina is a play on Weak Armor as now it gets stronger with each hit rather than weaker, and it also lets it tank super effective coverage after switching in and getting a boost. Recover lets it stall for boosts, a really strong ability that is tempered by it's lackluster SpD and 4x Ground weakness. Slow Volt Switch is another handy ability that keeps it from being too passive. I imagine something like Recover / Stealth Rock / Lava Plume / Volt Switch would be a good pivot. This shouldn't be very difficult to take out with Special and Ground-type attacks, though.

Gastrodon:

Water / Ground
Storm Drain / Sticky Hold / Sand Force --> Water Absorb

HP: 111
Atk: 83 --> 133
Def: 68 --> 98
SpA: 90--> 110
SpD: 82--> 92
Spe: 39 --> 29

Flavor: It's bigger and it has more things coming off it.

Competitive: Gastrodon already accomplishes a lot with modest defenses, so the boosts are focused more into offense to help it be less passive as a tank. It could also potentially run Curse now that it only needs one boost to hit pretty hard. Gastrodon doesn't want to lose its Water immunity so Water Absorb is the ability of choice here. Gastrodon is still vulnerable to Status, Grass-type moves, and bulky wallbreakers.

Swalot:

Poison --> Poison / Psychic
Sticky Hold / Liquid Ooze / Gluttony --> Simple

HP: 100
Atk: 73 --> 103
Def: 83
SpA: 73--> 143
SpD: 83--> 113
Spe: 55 --> 25

New Moves: Trick Room, Growth

Flavor: It has the same dopey little eyes but now there is a large eye on it's forehead, set in one of those black diamonds. It secretes gasses that cause it's enemies to hallucinate, allowing it to eventually catch and devour them.

Competitive: This is a slow, boosting sweeper or wallbreaker that can run Curse or Growth to gain huge stat boosts thanks to Simple. With Trick Room and Pain Split to augment these sets it is pretty unpredictable, and can be geared to sweep against stall or offense depending on what you need. However, each set has its weaknesses, as Poison STAB doesn't give it very good 2 move coverage and it's slow and easy to wear down if it lacks Trick Room or recovery.

Flavor: It has the same dopey little eyes but now there is a large eye on it's forehead, set in one of those black diamonds. It secretes gasses that cause it's enemies to hallucinate, allowing it to eventually catch and devour them.

Competitive: This is a boosting sweeper similar to Cofagrigus, with Simple to make things interesting. The boosting moves it has available are Curse, Stockpile, and Growth. Trick Room and Pain Split are also useable in combination with boosting moves, and it's attacking stats give it mixed potential. All in all, this makes it very unpredictable. However, it slow, lacks leftovers, and doesn't have very good 2 move coverage, so regardless of what set it runs it will have issues with speed, power, or coverage.
You can only add 2 new moves.

Inspiration: I based this mega off of the blue sea slug. It would look much the same as the image above, but with the dark blue and white bits changed to green and yellow to fit Gastrodon's color scheme. They are known to eat Portuguese man o' wars, so I gave it Poison Heal to reflect this. Due to them eating poison, they have a nasty sting, hence the large increase in the attack stat.
Type: Water/Ground
Ability: Poison Heal
HP: 111 (+0)
Attack: 113 (+30)
Defense: 88 (+20)
Special Attack: 92 (+0)
Special Defense: 132 (+50)
Speed: 39 (+0)
New Moves: Poison Fang and Liquidation
Description: With the inability to be poised and larger attack and special defense stats, Mega Gastrodon East makes for an excellent utilizer of the move Curse. A set of Liquidation/Curse/Recover and either Earthquake or Poison Fang could be popular (with the incentive for using Poison Fang being A) to hit Bulu on the switch and B) to badly poison Mew despite being taunted [and thus triggering Poison Heal via Synchronize]).
Edit: To clarify, this is East

Here's what I've made, I'm bad and don't know what to call it
Megas For All Resource
This will help our good lord Ezaphs in the coding of Megas For All as well as letting you make the post at the same time (That being one of the other main objective so that we don't have to do things twice)

Easy and straightforward just type in all the info and hit Generate, you'll see a section full of text in the form of Smogon BB code, copy it and paste.

Some instructions
  • Be sure to capitalise the first letter of the word in each input box
  • In the Pokemon input box, type in the base forme of the mega you are creating (Equipped with datalist so you won't have to type in the full name anyway, just hit down Arrow and Tab and move on)
  • Dex Number is for the the regular pokedex number of the Pokemon which can be found by /dt or anywhere but not the regional dex numbers.
  • You'll see two boxes for type, (This understood but) the first is the primary and the second one is the secondary typing
  • Leave the boxes empty in which no input is applicable. For example if a Pokemon is monotyped, leave the secondary typing box empty. For the Ability description box, leave it empty if using an existing ability otherwise type in the description if using a custom or clone ability.
  • For stats, the first box is for the old stat and the second one is for the new stat of the Pokemon which you're assigning. Again if a particular stat is not being changed just leave the second input box for that stat empty. (You can also type the old stat again in the new stat box but that'll only consume time)
  • For the moves boxes, do not use box #2 if you haven't used box #1 already, that is use the boxes order-wise going from 1 to 2 to 3 (This is because I coded a certain thing for box #1 which'd fail if the arrangement is not followed, I'll try to make it so that any box can be used at any time)
  • Hit Generate, copy and paste. You'll see sometimes the thing saying // Remove this line, you can remove them (that whole line only) or leave them if you don't get what to exactly remove no problemo it's already commented so it won't do anything wrong and besides Ezaphs would do it if left.
  • Another thing on Generate, hit it in the very end. If you have made some changes after hitting generate in the first place then hit generate once again. Simple rule: Just hit Generate before copying.
  • Be sure to update the code if you have edited the mega afterwards. It's very easy, you'll have to edit in only two places. Pokedex.js and MFA Calc Pokedex.js the stats / weight / typing from X to what you have changed it to and the ability if that's changed (Only in the regular pokedex.js) The damage calc here https://EssCode.github.io/MFACalc/index.template.html same as the Honko Damage Calculator but with MFA megas in it. (EssCode is Ezaphs if you were wondering xd)
  • I've followed a basic layout in it which is majorly based on the template given in the OP, I've seen people using their own styles so you can change it to your way after toggling the BB code in here if you want to. I'll try to make more layouts for it if the thing does well.
A known issue:
After pasting the post here, you'll see some additional commas in Movepool Additions if there are less than 4 new moves, that's easy to fix just backspace the additional commas

It's also in-built with one rule that gives a message at the top if the new base stat total is overboard or less than +100 including the value of total BST to be altered. I don't know how to add in other rules or even the rules really well

Here's the source code (It's mostly basic since I'm not that good) you can join in to help with it's development. I've added comments in the code plus it's easily readable. Ludicrousity is with me so feel free to suggest features and report any issues to us, it can also be changing the colour scheme or ordering of any boxes or text in some boxes if the current one can be made better.

Some things that I've planned include having a "load" button to automatically call up the old stats of the Pokemon, a click to copy button, and some visual gizmos.

Hope you like it :D!

I ask again more from desperate curiosity: Is Magcargo limited to a 4 ability and not 4.5 because of the risk of Simple Shell Smash submissions despite being a 4x weak mon with a 430 stat total?

I wanted to ask what "exceptions apply TM" means with regards to the limit for adding new moves. I had to make some tough choices on Swalot so I'd like to know what this rule is.

Swalot-Mega
Ability: Liquid Ooze/Sticky Hold/Gluttony ----> Sludge Shell (or Sludge Shield idk yet) (Multiscale/shadow shield clone)

Stats:
HP: 100 ----> 100
Attack: 73 ----> 73
Defense: 83 ----> 133 (+50)
Special Attack: 73 ----> 88 (+15)
Special Defense: 83 ----> 133 (+50)
Speed: 55 ----> 40 (-15)
Base Stat Total: 467 ----> 567
Movepool Additions: Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Spiky Sheild
Description: The idea here is that Swalot picks up pieces of earth as it moves and forms a sort of crust around its soft, liquid-like body, slowing it down but protecting it. The spikes/spiky stuff just comes with it as large, sharp shards of earth are picked up by Swalot. Also hi MFA its been a while!

Essentially, you can go over the limit, but you have to have good reason to do so.

This is indeed the case. Let's take a look at what could happen if we allowed this. We'll say that this Magcargo was given 10 to both defenses, 50 to SpA and 30 to Speed. After a Shell Smash, it would hit a speed tier of 657 with enough SpA to 2HKO Chansey with Flamethrower (also enough to outspeed Choice Scarf Tapu Koko and OHKO stuff like Zygarde and Mega Latios with the seemingly weak Earth Power and Ancient Power). Not allowing that.

Because Gastrodon can have split Megas, voting for the two forms will happen separately. If you wish to vote for a form that does not have split megas, you can place it in the West and/or East categories. This makes it possible that someone's non-split Gastrodon would end up as a mega for either or both forms. Hope that isn't too confusing. Anyways, voting!

Is it ok to request slates? Cause I wanted to do Butterfree honestly.
