OU Metagross

Remove the lack of recovery as a downside from the overview, Mega Metagross is an offensive Pokemon and doesn't mind much about this. Lack of reliable recovery is only mentioned on defensive Pokemon expected to take on a multitude of threats during a game.

When talking about Hammer Arm beating Skarmory, mention that it can only beat Counter-less Skarmory. Also, add Mega Swampert as a target of Grass Knot.

Remove the mention of VoltTurn partners from Usage Tips in both sets, it belongs to Team Options. Mention some more Pokemon that Mega Metagross can check under usage tips, such as Mega Venusaur and Mega Sceptile.

When mentioning hazard users to pair Mega Metagross with, explain why they are good teammates aside from providing the hazards. There are tons of options for SR setters, so you need to mention which of them pair the best with Mega Metagross and why.

On the Rock Polish set, explain why Hammer Arm is preffered over Earthquake, instead of just saying ''because it hits Dark and Steel types''. Mention specific targets that Earthquake can't cover, such as Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, Mega Gyarados, Greninja, and Air Balloon Excadrill.

Mention some good wallbreakers that lure and weaken the stuff that Rock Polish Mega Metagross needs gone to clean up. Early-game physical hole punchers work well, to weaken stuff such as Mega Slowbro, Skarmory, and Landorus-T, so SD Terrakion, SD Garchomp, and SD Explosion Landorus-T are good teammates.

Elaborate on checks and counters, you need to explain how each of those Pokemon deals with Mega Metagross, not only mention they check or counter him.

Do these and tag me to give you the last check.

This is SUPER nitpicky, so feel free to disregard this, but Agility has 30 PP vs. Rock Polish's 20.

They do the exact same thing, but you never know when PP stalling will come in handy, though I can't imagine anything doing that successfully vs. MegaMeta. :s

Small nitpick:
In the checks and counters section it says "Additionally, if Metagross is weakened, Pokemon such as Mega Sceptile can pick him off with Hidden Power Fire and Drill Run, respectively."
Sceptile cannot learn Drill Run so i assume that you meant to say Mega Beedrill as well?

Yeah. Fixed.

This set is best used as an early and mid-game wallbreaker that is capable of checking top tier threats such as Latios, Latias, Mega Sceptile, Mega Venusaur, and Fairy-types not named Azumarill reliably thanks to his great bulk and power.
(first set, usage tips)
I'm pretty sure MGross is a good Azumarill check, as non-CB Waterfall fails to 2HKO, and Meteor Mash 2HKOes.

Keldeo and Magnezone help break down defensive Steel-types, while the latter reliably checks Bisharp.
(second set, team options)
I think you mean former/both here?

When talking about targets of Hammer Arm, don't specifically mention Heatran and Magnezone, because EQ covers them better. Focus on targets such as Mega Scizor, Air Balloon Excadrill, Greninja, Mega Gyarados, and the rest of which you have already mentioned, so just add the two i mentioned.

You didn't explain why Ferrothorn is a good SR setter to pair with Mega Metagross, so either do so or remove Ferro as a partner, and tbh i don't think those two have so good synergy together anyway, as they share a Fire weakness and Ferrothorn kinda kills the momentum of the offensive teams Mega Metagross like to be in. Up to you though, if you give a good explanation for Ferro as a partner, you can keep it as a partner.

In checks and counters, explain how Counter Skarmory always counters Mega Metagross, and that Mega Scizor needs at least max HP to avoid getting 2HKOed by Adamant Hammer Arm after SR. Remove Heatran altogether because it's fucked no matter what coverage move Metagross carries.

I wouldn't say that Cresselia counters Mega Metagross as it's unable to do any meaningful damage back, while Mega Metagross will eventually get the Atk boost from MM and muscle past it. What it can do, however, is paralyze Metagross so your team has an easier time beating it. Make sure to explain this, and don't say it's a counter, just a check.

Add physically defensive Landorus-T and Mandibuzz in the bulky physical walls section.

Also, add physically defensive Starmie as a check.

QC APPROVED 3/3

Re ferrothorn:
Landorus-T and Ferrothorn can pivot into the Ground-type attacks that target Metagross from the likes of Sand Rush Excadrill or opposing Landorus-T
i have this here so if thats not good enough then ill just remove it. i have ferro mentioned specifically because he reliably checks lando t, which is a pretty big threat to gross. before i go to gp id like an opinion on this.

and lmao i completely forgot about tough claws when i calced hammer arm vs. mega sciz, which is why i didnt put it. i fixed it, tho only offensive actually loses to gross so i mspecified that.

Oh yeah, i missed this. Ferro is an ok check to Ground-types yeah, but SD Chomp 2HKOes with +2 EQ or Fire Blast, so Ferro is only really checking Lando-T out of the Ground-types troubling Mega Metagross. Up to you, but i wouldn't mention Ferro.

Amcheck

Rule of thumb: don't use more than one sentence to talk about a subject. Ofc if you really have a lot to say, fine, but a lot of fluff here of the two-sentence kind.

Also, while eq's trashing of maggy and heatran is a plus, that needs to be separated out a bit-hammer arm still hits them, just that eq hits them harder, so that needs to be said/said better.

M-meta also beats grasses for keld

Other than that good 1

Edit: Clone here's a c/p and i really need to adjust my editing setup

Overview
########

Metagross received a huge buff in ORAS in the form of a new Mega Evolution, which changed Metagross from an unviable Pokemon to a top tier threat. Tough Claws coupled with Metagross' great physical movepool, many of which make contact, such as Meteor Mash, Zen Headbutt, Hammer Arm, Ice Punch, and Earthquake, lets Mega Metagross hit insanely hard. As if that weren't enough, he has a great defensive Steel / Psychic typing which, coupled with his insane 80 / 150 / 110 bulk, allows him to act as a great check for top tier threats such as Latios, Latias, Clefable, Mega Gardevoir, and Keldeo. Mega Metagross also has a great base 110 Speed stat to back it all up, which makes him a very formidable tank. Additionally, Mega Metagross has access to Rock Polish, which turns him from a powerful wallbreaker into a devastating late game cleaner once his checks have been removed from play. However, Metagross has a mediocre base Speed before Mega Evolving and weaknesses to common Dark-, Fire-, and Ground-type attacks. Additionally, Mega Metagross is often pressed for moveslots, meaning that he will always be walled by something.

All-Out Attacker

name: All-Out Attacker
move 1: Meteor Mash
move 2: Zen Headbutt
move 3: Ice Punch / Bullet Punch
move 4: Hammer Arm / Earthquake
ability: Clear Body
item: Metagrossite
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
nature: Jolly

Moves
========
Meteor Mash is Metagross's main STAB move, sporting great power and hitting the Fairies he checks super effectively. Zen Headbutt is necessary to take on the Fighting- and Poison-types Metagross checks, while also scoring a crucial 2HKO against Rotom-W, who would otherwise wall him. Ice Punch is great for hitting Dragons as well as Landorus-T and Gliscor super effectively, while Bullet Punch hits faster threats such as Rock Polish Mega Diancie, Mega Aerodactyl, Choice Scarf Tyranitar, and Greninja that has changed type. Hammer Arm is the 2HKOes Ferrothorn and offensive Mega Scizor, while also beating Skarmory that lack Counter 1 on 1, thanks to the Speed drop allowing Metagross to hit Skarmory after the Roost. However, Earthquake is a viable alternative if the speed drop is unappealing and hitting Jirachi, Magnezone, Heatran, and opposing Metagross is necessary. Grass Knot is also an option to lure in and hit bulky Water- and Ground-types such as (Mega) Slowbro, Quagsire, Mega Swampert, and Hippowdon super effectively. Finally, Pursuit can be used to trap Latios and Latias, while also getting chip damage against other targets like Mega Gardevoir.

Set Details
========
Maximum Attack and Speed investment is needed to hit as hard and fast as possible, while a Jolly nature is used to ensure a Speed tie against opposing base 110 Speed Pokemon. Clear Body prevents stat drops from Intimidate and Sticky Web.

Usage Tips
========
This set is best used as an early and mid-game wallbreaker that is capable of checking top tier threats such as Latios, Latias, Mega Sceptile, Mega Venusaur, and assorted Fairy-types, reliably thanks to his great bulk and power. Additionally, Metagross can clean up weakened teams late game if he opts to run Bullet Punch; Healing Wish support in this case is appreciated.

Team Options
========
Magnezone is a great partner for Metagross, as he traps and kills the Steel-types that ruin Metagross's day, while also beating Mandibuzz and the bulky Water-types that give Metagross trouble. Landorus-T and Rotom-W also make great teammates, as they can U-turn or Volt Switch him into favorable matchups and check Talonflame, which can outspeed Metagross and deal massive damage to him with Flare Blitz. Keldeo is also a great partner to Metagross thanks to excellent type synergy, checking all of Bisharp, Mandibuzz, Mega Scizor, and Greninja, while Metagross handles Fairy-types, Latios, Latias, and bulky Poison-types who give Keldeo trouble. Unaware Clefable also walls Calm Mind Mega Slowbro and Mega Sableye, two Pokemon who otherwise give Metagross trouble. Lastly, Metagross appreciates entry hazards to aid in breaking down defensive cores, so Pokemon who lay down Stealth Rock such as Landorus-T and Garchomp make great teammates. For example, Landorus-T can pivot into the Ground-type attacks that target Metagross from the likes of Sand Rush Excadrill or opposing Landorus-T, while Garchomp is able to break down opposing physical walls such as Slowbro and Mega Sableye with a Lum Berry + Swords Dance set. Spikes users like Greninja and Chesnaught help as well. Greninja forces a ton of switches and has a great moveepool to hit checks like Landorus-T and Slowbro super effectively, while Chesnaught can reliably handle Bisharp.

Rock Polish
########
name: Rock Polish
move 1: Rock Polish
move 2: Meteor Mash / Iron Head
move 3: Zen Headbutt
move 4: Hammer Arm / Earthquake / Ice Punch
ability: Clear Body
item: Metagrossite
evs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========
Rock Polish doubles Metagross' Speed, which allows him to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame and thus become a devastating late-game sweeper. Meteor Mash and Zen Headbutt are the obligatory STAB moves to make this possible, though Iron Head is an option if missing poses a problem. Metagross's best coverage move in this case is Hammer Arm, as it hits Dark- and Steel-types super effectively, specifically hitting Air Balloon Excadrill, Air Balloon Heatran, Mega Gyarados, and Greninja. The speed drop can be an issue, however, so Earthquake can be used instead if Charizard X and Heatran pose a threat. Ice Punch hits Choice Scarf Landorus-T and Dragon-types, who can otherwise tank a hit and hit Metagross back hard, super effectively.

Set Details
========
176 Speed EVs with an Adamant let Mega Metagross outpace neutral-natured Base 100 Speed Pokemon unboosted and outspeed everything up to Adamant Sand Rush Excadrill with Rock Polish. Maximum Attack is needed to deal as much damage as possible, and the remaining EVs go into HP for extra bulk.

Usage Tips
========
Bring Metagross in late-game against something that he forces out to set up a sweep. If a Healing Wish user such as Jirachi or Latias is on his team, Metagross can be used as a wallbreaker early-game, checking threats such as Fairy-types, Latias, Latios, Mega Venusaur, and Mega Sceptile.

Team Options
========
Pokemon who remove Metagross's checks and counters are crucial for a Rock Polish sweep. Landorus-T, Rotom-W, and Raikou take on Talonflame well and can provide Metagross a free switch via Volt Switch or U-Turn. Keldeo and Magnezone help break down defensive Steel-types, and the former reliably checks Bisharp. Additionally, Spikes Greninja forces a lot of switches and can pressure opposing teams with Spikes to help turn 2HKOes into OHKOes, while also hitting defensive Landorus-T, Slowbro, and Skarmory hard thanks to his great coverage options. Bisharp also makes a great partner as he deters Defog thanks to Defiant and helps keep entry hazards up. Furthermore, strong Swords Dance users such as Garchomp, Terrakion, Explosion Landorus-T, and Bisharp can lure in and weaken opposing physical walls such as (Mega) Slowbro, Skarmory, Alomomola, and Mandibuzz. Finally, a Healing Wish user allows Metagross to be played more recklessly early game and bring him back to full health once he’s ready to sweep.

Other Options
########

Metagross has access to Stealth Rock, so a bulky Stealth Rock set with HP and Attack investment can be used as a hazard setter that helps keep his hazards up through his great offensive presence. Mega Metagross can also use Thunder Punch to hit Skarmory and Bulky Water-types super effectively, though this move is usually inferior to his other coverage options. Toxic can be used to lure in bulky walls such as Cresselia, Alomomola, and Slowbro. Finally, Substitute is an option to avoid mind games with Bisharp and avoid a Sucker Punch, as well as avoid status from Pokémon Metagross needs an extra turn against.

Checks & Counters
########
**Steel-types**: Skarmory, Ferrothorn, and bulky Mega Scizor can give Metagross trouble, as the former has access to Counter, while the latter two can whittle him down. Bisharp revenge kills Metagross with Sucker Punch after a little bit of prior damage. However, if Metagross is carrying Hammer Arm, only bulky Mega Scizor can actually wall him, as Ferrothorn, offensive Mega Scizor, and Skarmory are 2HKOed by it.

**Bulky Water-types**: Slowbro, Alomomola, and Quagsire wall Metagross if he lacks Grass Knot, as they cannot be 2HKOed by any of Metagross's other moves and have recovery moves to heal off any damage taken. Physically defensive Starmie can also check Metagross unless he is running Grass Knot.

**Faster Pokemon**: Choice Banded Talonflame can OHKO Metagross with Flare Blitz, Choice Scarf Landorus-T can 2HKO Metagross with Earthquake while also getting an Intimidate off, and Greninja can kill Metagross with Dark Pulse after a bit of prior damage. Additionally, if Metagross is weakened, Pokemon such as Mega Sceptile and Mega Beedrill can pick him off with Hidden Power Fire and Drill Run, respectively.

**Physically Defensive Walls**: Mega Sableye and Cresselia both wall Mega Metagross despite any coverage move he may carry, and the former is also able to burn him, though the latter can't do much to Metagross beyond paralyzing him with Thunder Wave. Quagsire, Hippowdon, and (Mega) Slowbro all wall Metagross if he lacks Grass Knot, and have reliable recovery to heal off any damage taken. Mandibuzz and physically defensive Landorus-T also switch into Metagross easily, though Ice Punch must be scouted for if Stealth Rock is up. Finally, Skarmory will always beat Mega Metagross that lack Hammer Arm, as he has the physical bulk and recovery to tank any hits that Metagross can throw at him; if Skarmory has Counter, he can simply switch between Roost and Counter to bring Metagross down.

tehy I'll get to this later today, but with certain spelling / removing things, can yo please change it to jus crossing it out and writing next to it? Having black in the middle of blue and red makes it extremely hard to read and hard to actually change when I have to decipher everything.

I'd prefer to be able to read what I have to change :/ sorry if I came across as rude or something

Edit: ok so I tried to do this but it was way too Hard to read. I'm sorry but I can't correct anything if I don't even know what word to use in the middles of red and blue :/

Unaware Clefable also walls Calm Mind Mega Slowbro and Mega Sableye, two Pokemon who that otherwise give Metagross trouble. Lastly, Metagross appreciates entry hazards support to aid in breaking down defensive cores, so Pokemon who lay down that can set up Stealth Rock such as Landorus-T and Garchomp make for great teammates. Greninja forces a ton of switches and has a great moveepool to hit checks like Landorus-T and Slowbro super effectively, while Chesnaught can reliably handle Bisharp.

move 3: Zen Headbutt

nature: Adamant

Moves
========
Rock Polish doubles Metagross' Speed, which allows him it to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame and thus become a devastating late-game sweeper. Meteor Mash and Zen Headbutt are the obligatory STAB moves to make this possible, though Iron Head is an option if missing Meteor Mash poses a problem. Metagross's best coverage move in this case is Hammer Arm, as it hits Dark- and Steel-types super effectively, specifically hitting Air Balloon Excadrill, Air Balloon Heatran, Mega Gyarados, and Greninja. The Speed drop can be an issue, however, so Earthquake can be used instead if Mega Charizard X and Heatran pose a threat. Ice Punch hits Choice Scarf Landorus-T and Dragon-types, who which can otherwise tank a hit and hit Metagross back hard, (RC) for super effectively damage.

Set Details
========
176 Speed EVs with an Adamant let Mega Metagross outpace neutral-natured base 100 Speed Pokemon unboosted and outspeed everything up to Adamant Sand Rush Excadrill with Rock Polish. Maximum Attack is needed to deal as much damage as possible, (RC) and the remaining EVs go into HP for extra bulk.

Usage Tips
========
Bring Metagross in late-game against something that he it forces out to set up a sweep. If a Healing Wish user such as Jirachi or Latias is on his its team, Metagross can be used as a wallbreaker early-game, checking threats such as Fairy-types, Latias, Latios, Mega Venusaur, and Mega Sceptile.

Team Options
========
Pokemon who that can remove Metagross's checks and counters are crucial for a Rock Polish sweep. Landorus-T, Rotom-W, and Raikou take on Talonflame well and can provide Metagross a free switch via Volt Switch or U-Turn. Keldeo and Magnezone help break down defensive Steel-types, (RC) and the former reliably checks Bisharp. Additionally, Spikes Greninja forces a lot of switches and can pressure opposing teams with Spikes to help turn 2HKOes 2HKOs into OHKOes, (RC) OHKOs (for clarification, 2HKOes with an e is a verb, while OHKOs is a noun. For example, "Greninja 2HKOes Helioptile" is an example where the spelling with e is acceptable.) while also hitting defensive Landorus-T, Slowbro, and Skarmory hard thanks to his its great coverage options. Bisharp also makes for a great partner, (AC) as he it deters Defog thanks to Defiant and helps keep entry hazards up. Furthermore, strong Swords Dance users such as Garchomp, Terrakion, Explosion Landorus-T, and Bisharp can lure in and weaken opposing physical walls such as (Mega) Slowbro, Skarmory, Alomomola, and Mandibuzz. Finally, a Healing Wish user allows Metagross to be played more recklessly early-game (add hyphen) and bring him it back to full health once he’s it's (remember in the future to change any curly apostrophes - ’ - into regular ones if you copy and paste a document from Word or another text-editing program) ready to sweep.

Other Options
########

Metagross has access to Stealth Rock, so a bulky Stealth Rock set with HP and Attack investment can be used as an entry hazard setter that helps keep his hazards Stealth Rock up through his its great offensive presence. Mega Metagross can also use Thunder Punch to hit Skarmory and bulky Water-types super effectively, though this move is usually inferior to his its other coverage options. Toxic can be used to lure in bulky walls such as Cresselia, Alomomola, and Slowbro. Finally, Substitute is an option to avoid mind games with Bisharp and avoid a Sucker Punch, as well as avoid status from Pokémon when Metagross needs an extra turn against to set up.

Checks & Counters
########
**Steel-types**: Steel-types such as Skarmory, Ferrothorn, and bulky Mega Scizor can give Metagross trouble, as the former has access to Counter, while the latter two can whittle him it down. Bisharp revenge kills Metagross with Sucker Punch after a little bit of prior damage. However, if Metagross is carrying Hammer Arm, only bulky Mega Scizor can actually wall him it, as Ferrothorn, offensive Mega Scizor, and Skarmory are 2HKOed by it.

**Bulky Water-types**: Slowbro, Alomomola, and Quagsire wall Metagross if he it lacks Grass Knot, as they cannot be 2HKOed by any of Metagross's other moves and have access to recovery moves to heal off any damage taken. Physically defensive Starmie can also check Metagross unless he it is running Grass Knot.

**Faster Pokemon**: Choice Banded Talonflame can OHKO Metagross with Flare Blitz, Choice Scarf Landorus-T can 2HKO Metagross with Earthquake while also getting an dropping Metagross's Attack with Intimidate off, and Greninja can kill KO Metagross with Dark Pulse after a bit of prior damage. Additionally, if Metagross is weakened, Pokemon such as Mega Sceptile and Mega Beedrill can pick him it off with Hidden Power Fire and Drill Run, respectively.

**Physically Defensive Walls**: Mega Sableye and Cresselia both wall Mega Metagross despite any coverage move he it may carry, and the former is also able to burn him it, though the latter can't do much to Metagross beyond paralyzing him it with Thunder Wave. Quagsire, Hippowdon, and (Mega) Slowbro all wall Metagross if he it lacks Grass Knot, (RC) and have access to reliable recovery options to heal off any damage taken. Mandibuzz and physically defensive Landorus-T can also switch into Metagross easily, though they must be wary of Ice Punch must be scouted for if Stealth Rock is up. Finally, Skarmory will always beat Mega Metagross that lack Hammer Arm, as he Skarmory has the physical bulk and recovery to tank any hits that Metagross can throw at him it; if Skarmory has Counter, he it can simply switch between Roost and Counter to bring Metagross down.

Metagross is genderless, and it's best to not use gendered pronouns to refer to Pokemon, as they can be either gender.

Overview
########

Metagross received a huge buff in ORAS in the form of a new Mega Evolution, which changed Metagross from an unviable Pokemon to a top-tier threat. Tough Claws coupled with Mega Metagross's great physical movepool, many of which make contact, such as Meteor Mash, Zen Headbutt, Hammer Arm, and Ice Punch, lets Mega Metagross hit insanely hard. As if that weren't enough, it Metagross has a great defensive Steel / Psychic typing, which, coupled with its insane 80 / 150 / 110 bulk, allows it to act as a great check for top-tier threats such as Latios, Latias, Clefable, Mega Gardevoir, and Keldeo. Mega Metagross also has a great base 110 Speed stat to back it all up, which makes it a very formidable tank. Additionally, Mega Metagross has access to Rock Polish, which turns it from a powerful wallbreaker into a devastating late-game cleaner once its checks have been removed from play. However, Metagross has a mediocre base Speed before Mega Evolving and weaknesses to common Dark-, Fire-, and Ground-type attacks. Additionally, Mega Metagross is often pressed for moveslots, meaning that it will always be walled by something.

Moves
========
Meteor Mash is Mega Metagross's main STAB move, sporting great power and hitting the Fairies Fairy-types Mega Metagross it checks super effectively. Zen Headbutt is necessary to take on the Fighting- and Poison-types that Mega Metagross checks, while also scoring a crucial 2HKO against Rotom-W, which would otherwise wall Mega Metagross. Ice Punch is great for hitting Dragon-types as well as Landorus-T and Gliscor super effectively, while Bullet Punch hits faster threats such as Rock Polish Mega Diancie, Mega Aerodactyl, Choice Scarf Tyranitar, and Greninja that has changed type. Hammer Arm 2HKOes Ferrothorn and offensive Mega Scizor while also beating Skarmory that lack Counter one-on-one, thanks to the Speed drop allowing Mega unless it's only non-Mega? Idk if Mega is too fast. Basically at any point if you're talking about Mega Metagross, be sure to say Mega. Consider them different formes. I'll stop adding in the Megas and let you double check if you're talking about Mega Metagross or Metagross in general. Metagross to hit Skarmory after the Roost. However, Earthquake is a viable alternative if the Speed drop is unappealing and hitting Jirachi, Magnezone, Heatran, and opposing Metagross is necessary. Grass Knot is also an option to lure in and hit bulky Water- and Ground-types such as (Mega) Slowbro and Mega Slowbro, Quagsire, Mega Swampert, and Hippowdon super effectively. Finally, Pursuit can be used to trap Latios and Latias while also getting chip damage against other targets such as Mega Gardevoir.

Set Details
========
Maximum Attack and Speed investment is needed to hit as hard and fast as possible, while a Jolly nature is used to ensure a Speed tie against opposing base 110 Speed Pokemon. Clear Body prevents stat drops from Intimidate and Sticky Web.

Usage Tips
========
This set is best used as an early- and mid-game wallbreaker that is capable of reliably checking top-tier threats such as Latios, Latias, Mega Sceptile, Mega Venusaur, and assorted Fairy-types thanks to its great bulk and power. Additionally, Metagross can clean up weakened teams late-game if it opts to run Bullet Punch; Healing Wish support in this case is appreciated.

Team Options
========
Magnezone is a great partner for Metagross, as it traps and kills KOes the Steel-types that ruin Metagross's day while also beating Mandibuzz and the bulky Water-types that give Metagross trouble. Should have this all done on Sunday due to irl commitments today / tomorrow.

One question tho GatoDelFuego why did u remove the first sentence? Imo it's important because it briefly explains why Metagross is worth using when before he was simply unviable.

I missed this before, but I'd like to see a Thunder Punch slash. The only thing Ice Punch really hits is Landorus-T, while Thunder Punch actually has a lot of value because you don't have to take risks using Hammer Arm vs Counter Skarmory and with Adamant (which isn't at all a bad option) you actually manage to do meaningful damage to Slowbro, 2HKOing standard defensive variants after SR and 2HKOing Mega variants with 2 SR switch-ins or SR + 1 layer Spikes. Also lets you smack normal Gyarados/don't have to predict against Mega variants. Adamant also lets you OHKO Azumarill after SR, preventing you from having to take a CB Waterfall/risk a miss against BD variants.
