Yeah it's worth mentioning conventional dark room traps don't work nearly as well anymore - mobs don't wander around when they spawn anymore, unless they see you.
 
Mob Blades (pressure plate and piston powered mob traps) would still be a viable option.
They're resource heavy as fuck, though.

Nah, I mean the old mushroom spreading kind but kind of tweaked- the way it works now is that you can only have a certain number of mushrooms per certain square area. So basically it'll be a bunch of "cells" which have their own seed mushroom and you just harvest it whenever you want and then let it regrow on its own.

haha, you forgot that everyone moves out of and its over 5000 blocks away from spawn.
 
how much cobble we need for spawn?, you can have most of the cobble me and opti get from our house (we are hollowing out a mountain no big deal) so that should be enough for spawn :)

I'm gonna be free on the 17th and on. So ya, basically when school ends. I'll be happy to collect wood, cobble, and coal for you guys. Of course, I'll have to build my house first!
 
Yeah, it's because you're not on the whitelist, you're insta kicked.

Anyways, like my Regigigas skin on Minecraft, spawn point's development has the ability of Slow Start. Frankly I blame the lack of torches, hence why I'll be spending time farming coal for torches.
 
The End of Stream error is caused by you not being white-listed, so if you get it the first time you log on please be patient and wait for an admin/mod to add you.
 
that means YOU, yearn! please add your name to the whitelist here and we will grant you access to the server at our earliest convenience
 
This is Yearn. I'm new to the forum and saw you guys had a Minecraft server and thought it'd be pretty cool if I joined. I added my name to the whitelist and kept getting the end of stream error- I thought the error was being caused by something else, guess its just the not being whitelisted deal. Thanks for clearing that up.
