Well we've had a fantastic start, and I'd like to thank everyone for participating and making this successful! Sadly, half of the entries had to be narrowed down, and boy was it a tough elimination!! The talent here is phenomenal. I'm really looking forward to the next contest, I hope all of you will participate! For now, here are the entries that made it. Vote for the one you'd like to see win!

I chose Smeargle's Studio's newcomer, Shinxe, as my choice for the poll. I love the artistic take on Weezing here, making it seem sludgy and absolutely pestilential like a Poison type should be. I also like the glowing cracks put into it as detail; it really enlightens the piece just enough. The smoke effect could have been a bit better (I like Yilx's the best in this aspect), but that doesn't waver my decision.

On another note, I loved all of the pieces here, everyone did such a great job! I like very much forward to the next Monthly Art Contest.
 
RocketGrunt's has the best textures and although I think a few of us tried out different structures for Weezing's 'skulls', his is the creepiest and also funniest to me (a weird paradox).

Was REALLY hard though, I love Kinneas, Scampy, and Lovebite's so much because of their take on it-- didn't go down the creepy path and they're all so nicely colored and fun.

Rocket Grunt, I love his and Shinxe the most of all, but for some reason, RG`s Weezing has that "I dont know what" that makes his art really appealing to me
 
Kinneas and Scampy are really good, but I'm going to have to go with Scampy because it seems that they put in a lot of effort, the drawing Kinneas made is cool, but it's really simple too. Kinneas versus Scampy
 
voted shinxe, because I like the rough look, yet the amount of detail most.

I somewhat forgot to join this tough :( sorry bucky... maybe i'll ever finsih my shellderkoffing icecream ^_^
 
wow ,I'm really suprised of the quality of all images, I litteraly like all of them.

It was a really tough decision between kinneas (his simplity and jollyness really stepped out of the rest), yilx (looks so good, perfect shading, really dynamic) and scampy( he really look good, it's original realistic but so simple)

Bummer, I couldn't give more then one vote because the all deserve one, so I had to give my one vote to yilx.
 
I voted Yilx, but it was a really tough call. All of these are great in their own ways, like AceTrainerLandon's realistic approach, LoveBite's vivid colouring, or the downright demented interpretations from RocketGrunt and Shinxe.

dont draw so good next time guys it makes voting very hard

Like seriously I love all these takes on Wheezing/Koffing. Each one has it's own distinct take on it, and I LOVE THEM ALL!! If I could vote for all of them, I would.

Nope.

Yilx :D Though I do think there are some fantastic pieces here which are currently being left to the wayside such as BinarySolo and SoIHeardYoulikeSENTRET
 
Such a hard choice...I went with kinneas though, its just so damn cute. :3

That was a hard choice though.
 
While I loved them all (Kinneas's made me all warm and fuzzy, and the quality of them all, especially Shinxe's and Rocket Grunt's, was breathtaking), I ended up voting for Lovebite, because his colourful acid trip approach won me over. Very creative!
