I'm super excited about this contest. Being a judge makes me feel like I'm a judge at a Pokémon Contest! XD I'm looking forward to some creative and maybe even some spooky entries! I personally would love to see the new Ghost/Fire line in here somewhere! ;) Does anyone really know when the new Sugimori art will be released?
 
Lord Jesus that was awesome, Zuruggu looks super cute. Can't wait to see what the rest of you excellent artists will be able to come up with.

Well, I wasn't going to post a WIP till I'd gotten around to more of the block colouring (which would've obstructed most of hitomoshi, thinking about it...), but here you go anyway!

Hi, I'm WPS, and this is about my third post on smogon in about 4 months, so don't be surprised if you've never heard of me and never hear of me again, but...

This is my entry here, along with more photoshop effects then is quite reasonable. :P

It's not bad (I think it is very well done), but it hurts to look at.

@amisterkux: Very well done! Poison Ivy happens to be my favorite Batman villain! :D I'm only speaking for myself, and my opinion does not necessarily reflect that of the other judges, but I'm fine with your animation. As long as you think it highlights your work, I don't see a problem with it. Again, I'm just speaking for myself.
 
I used a base sketch for Celebi, and I did ALL of the detail myself...and the outfit leaf by leaf. It's NOT "previous" art. Not to mention the photo in the background is a photo I took with my Nikon and edited on Photoshop.

That's what I meant: The base for Celebi probably came from another source, and the leaves and flowers and pumpkin basket are from somewhere else but rearranged and recoloured by you.

You didn't draw it yourself obviously, but you did combine other things and added effects to make a good-looking piece.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

@amisterlux: If this is the case, then I don't think we can accept this entry. Not that it isn't a good piece, I like it a lot.

Forgive me if I'm overstepping my authority in determining what can or cannot be accepted. Bucky actually has the final say-so, but I don't think it would be appropriate if we accepted it.
 
If you haven't noticed, I already took down my picture long before you posted this. There is nothing for you to accept because I have already taken myself out of the competition. Also, the elements in my picture were my own...just so you know. Hope the contest goes well.

BUT! I'm a little worried about MofoAmbulance's entry because to me, so far it doesn't look like there's an actual costume. I guess we'll wait and see (:

By the way, amisterlux, I didn't see your entry. Just keep in mind that your entry must be 100% original. I'm not exactly sure what went on, but just whip something up and take your time. You can use references, but no tracing or copy-pasting or recolors or else you'll be disqualified and I'll be really sad ): If you need anything, just PM me ^__^
