Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

It's the minimum amount of time you take to get into the game.
Every second, approximately 60 delays pass. (Uh I'm not sure what is the units for delays. ._.)

You should read more about delays here. It's pretty important if you want to hit your seed.

Well, I'm trying to figure out a minimum delay for the heatran that I'm trying to get. So how do I know which delay to pick if I'm not sure which one to pick?

EDIT: oh okay.

Hahas, sorry, I totally misinterpreted your question.
I thought you meant the value you put into the "minimum delay" and "maximum delay" of shiny egg.
Good luck RNGing!

how do you go about making sure the Pokemon your RNGing for in breeding comes out a certain GENDER?

I'm breeding one of the starters so I know there gender ratio is like 12.7% for Female and the rest for Male. But when I choose the info to find my seed I choose the nature to be Female and the ratio to be 25% male & 75% female. All the seeds it produced were female but when I hatched the egg it came out male? Everything else came out what I wanted it to be ability/nature/shiny. The gender was the only thing that didn't come out to be what I chose it to be.

Any advice/help?

@shella - Okay, I put 600 mini-delays and 1000 max delays and then I put 1000 mini-delays and 1500 max delays. After I did both of those, the pokerng said it done but nothing happened. What's going on? Am I doing something wrong?

1) Are you using PokeRNG DP?
2) Are the minimum IVs you input unrealistically high? For example, it is highly unlikely that a nonRNGed ID/SID combination will give you all 30-31 IVs. Maybe 27+ would be a good range.

Edit: Oh, right, and the Spreads generated will be in a .txt and a .csv file, and these two files will appear in the folder in which you saved your PokeRNG in.

Ahhhh! I see them now. :P

Thank you.

But hold on... what does this info mean since it's not telling me which are the delays, seeds, and etc.

Okay, my wanted delay = 639 and my wanted time = 20:02:16. So far I've hit 639 4 times but all those times were on 20:02:15 instead of 20:02:16. I'm using the pikatimer, so does anyone got any tips for me? (I'm on HG/SS)

30/31/31/30/31/31 Grass 70

Seed: A6150401
Method 1 frame: 1280
Method J frame (synch): 1207
Method J frame (no synch): 1209
Method K frame (synch): 1205
Method K frame (no synch): 1231
Nature: Naive
Ability: 1

And are you serious that you got a HP Grass 70 without RNGing your ID/SID?

Edit: Further information about PokeRNG can be found here. ^.^ Wichu is awesome.

Edit 2: If you want to catch a Heatran, you'll be looking at Method J. Sycnh = a Pokemon with the Naive nature and the ability Synchronize.

No, silly. I didn't get one without rngin my ID/SID. I'm just asking because I found it on the files the pokerng picked up.

Oh yes, Where do I add these info on the rng reporter?

It depends. Do you already have a game with the desired ID/SID combination?

And I'm assuming here that you want to catch a shiny heatran with HP Grass 70.

Actually, I don't know. Because I don't know to do it?

And I really don't care if the heatran is shiny or not. I just want to capture a heatran with near flawless/good iv's so i can show it to expert evan and get myself off of that treacherous blacklist.

Whut. In that case, whose ID/SID combination did you input into Wichu's PokeRNG? You're making me confused. How can you not know if you have the ID/SID combination that gives you the HP Grass 70 Spread? =P

If you want to capture a nonshiny naive HP Grass Heatran, you could have said so earlier and spared yourself all the trouble with PokeRNG.

SIGH. For non shiny Heatran with HP Grass 70, follow these steps.

1) Open RNG reporter.
2) Click "Seed Finder".
3) Input the Nature (Naive) and the IVs that will give you HP Grass 70.
4) Check the "Open" button.
5) Click "Find".
6) A list of possible frames and delays should appear. Click the one that you like best. For me, I have trouble counting to 100 journal flips, so I'd generally pick a low frame. (You can use Pikatimer to hit high delays.)
7) Click OK.
8) This brings you to the main screen of RNG reporter with your desired seed in the Seed (Hex) box.
9) Click "Method J".
10) Click Synch Nature: Naive.
11) Input the same IVs that you put in step (3).
12) Click Nature = Naive.
13) Do NOT check the shiny only box.
14) Click "Generate" and find out the desired frame in the list.
15) Click "Seed to Time".
16) Input the seconds you usually hit.
17) Click "Generate".
18) Click the year and time you want.
19) Input your delay range and the seconds range.
20) Click generate.
21) A list of possible delays and seconds that you will accidentally hit will appear, along with your desired delay and second that will give you your heatran. (DO NOT CLOSE THIS WINDOW).
22) Stand in front of Heatran with 5 Pokemon in your party. Make sure that your steps counter is at zero and the coin flip application is the first thing you'll see when you reboot your game.
23) Save and turn off your gameboy.
24) Start resetting for Heatran. Remember to change the date of your DS each time you reset. Check if you hit your seed through coin flips. "Search Flips". If you fail, RNGReporter tell you which delay you hit so you can rectify your error. And once you hit the correct seed, make sure that you advance the frame correctly. You will want to hit the frame that you targetted in step 14. Do this by journal flips and/or walking 128 steps.

Edit: Well, essentially all the steps you need are here. But you don't read the guides so I decided to write it in my own words. =)

Thank you. ^^

Any spread he generated with PokeRNG that was close to perfect and HP grass 70 can be used on his game to catch a non-shiny heatran. He doesn't need RNG Reporter to get a seed for it. He can use PokeRNG. When it asks for shiny or not on PokeRNG, you say N for no. You don't need a SID or OT at all. Edit: and even if he did use a sid and ot, any spread he generated can still be used to catch a non-shiny heatran.

Oh yeah..... If you really want to use this seed with the mindblowingly high frame number, you can just copy and paste "A6150401" into the Seed (hex) box of RNG Reporter and proceed from there. (You'll find your frame at 1207 if you use the synch box, and at 1209 if you don't. =)

Yeah, I mentioned that to him by VM. He needs to search a different delay range with PokeRNG or use RNG Reporter to search all delays with a max frame of maybe 500.

Well.... according to what I found, the rng reporter says the delays are 1015 and I can get the heatran with that iv set on march 13th 2010. =/

I am still getting probs with my target time.

my wanted time & delay=
wanted time = 20:02:16
wanted delay = 639

and I'm getting this=
time = 20:02:15
delay = 639

I already got this delay & time for about 9x. Anyone got an idea how to get +1 second in the time so I can reach my wanted time? Riski already told me I should do my ds clock +1 minute but when I do that I enter the game at 20:03:16 since my pikatimer gives me 1 minute before target. and at 20:03:16 I don't get any elm response that match. so please could someone give me any advice?

when I open the journal and start flipping to the pages that say I caught or defeated a pokemon, it will advance the rng by 2.

And when it say advance the rng by 2, what did it mean by that?
If any journal page have "caught" or "defeated" pkmn then the rng will advance by 2 in other term your frame will advance by 2

let say that you want frame 111 and you have 0 roamer and a pokemon frame is 1

(111(target frame)-1(monster frame) -0(roamers)) = page flip
in the above example you will do 55 page flip

55 page flip will advance the frame by 2 each flip so thats a total of 110 and when you battle the pokemon the frame will advance 1, so you will have hit your target frame.

Understand?

ummm.... I think so. But what exactly is a target frame, a roamer, and a monster frame?

Are they something that I need to do with journal flip?

If so, how do I advance the them when I'm trying to rng capture a naive heatran?

The Frame should be 687

The target frame is the frame you want to get, read the first page of this thread for a frame advancement guide... and did you even read the first page of this thread?
