Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Okay, I'm trying to get a shiny Jolly Ho-oh and a shiny Jolly Rayquaza with 31/31/31/0/31/31 iv set but my friends were suggesting that I hit one with a higher delay so that I'll have more time to to get through the info and hit the delay on time.
So my question is......

How can you hit a lower delay of an SID/ID combo in one or less than a minute when you start a new game?

If it's impossible, then how was Christian able to hit the right lower delay in one minute to get that shiny Jolly Ho-oh with that iv set (31/31/31/0/31/31)?

Your thinking of the older generations. I & II held there save data on the battery. III and up do not. So it's still possible to save, but you won,t be able to do time based events. I'm thinking since this is so I think you won't even be able to RNG without time...since that is what you need O_o...I'm probably wrong though.

EDIT: I'm using Pikatimer now and I seem to be doing all the steps correctly but when I go to verify what delay I hit on the Seed to Time window I get no results. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong? O_o...

You are possibly hitting the wrong second. Either give mine a shot (link below) or try to hit a little later.

@Bond That's interesting info. Thanks.

It seems I hit my seed for Wondercard RNG. Do I just advance my frame up until ONE FRAME before my target frame like you would when RNGing for Egg IVS or do you advance all the way to your TARGET FRAME?

Ah, at last. I spent a good chunk of time yesterday trying to get the hexflawless Timid Mew, and on my first attempt today, I got a Timid. Not only that, but I hit my seed on the first try as well. I'm super excited! :)

Help! I am doing the seed 561501fa on hgss for pewter latios with timid synch specified in javarng. At the second timer, it always reaches zero before I can get to the continue screen! And every elm response I hit starts in the middle instead of the beginning and when I look at its frames it is not what I want, and yes I specify method k, which was even when I was doing alexa's non synched seed. I have decided to go on a minimum seconds of 54 to make it actually possible for me, and it is still not working, as the calib delay is one number more than my wanted delay, so i had to lower it by two to get it to work. In the meantime can you identify the problem?

Please help me because I am trying to get latios that is just like alexa999 except it is my ot.

Maybe, if my seed is bad, maybe I will start using alexaseed again, even though it is such an annoyingly long wait for the second timer. I still have the aforementioned elm problem, though.

I'm not 100% sure but I think someone said that for each year you decrease your DS clock by, it increases the target delay by one. Can't hurt to try it.. right?

so how would i kill it?
It's really just a waiting game, it can only have so much charge, and once it's gone it's gone.
When you start the game it'll tell you that the internal battery has died (if it has of course).

Otherwise you could take the cartridge apart, and remove the internal battery completely (or take it out, dissipate it through a wire, and then put it (when empty) back in). But that seems a lot of effort...
Yeah, it just takes time. I got my Ruby in March 2003, and its battery just died within the last few months after over 7 long years. I got my Sapphire in Summer 2003, and its battery only lasted 2 years or so. It's really not a good thing though; like Champloo said, once it happens, you lose the ability to do any time-based events, such as berry growing, free berries from the 8 people around Hoenn, and Mirage Island. To clarify, this is a totally different issue than the "berry glitch" that is fixed by connecting to the Jirachi bonus disc or FR/LG, although the effects are the same.

I would strongly recommend against tinkering with the inside of the game unless you are proficient with small electronics and are 100% sure what you are doing. I tried to repair my Emerald game by removing the old battery and soldering the new one in while following a guide, but I only messed it up, and now that game doesn't work at all.

Is there another good pewter timid hp fire latiseed that has a lower delay than alexa999 but higher than the synch one javarng gave me? Because my delay is too low. Also can someone find out my elm problem

Seed: 15160a67, Occident 324 gives:
Latias - Timid - 31/6/31/30/31/30 (HP Fire (70))

It appears a bunch of times with a Timid Syncher at the front of the party.

And as far as your Elm problem goes, just try opening the game, waiting 5 - 10 seconds, and then resaving the game. Sometimes the NPCs just don't behave during a specific save, but I've usually found that re-saving means I can get the first frame of a given seed.

Also, if you have any roamers going around, they will also advance your frame. Make sure you've noted any of those that you've got out and about.

I RNG'd the event Mew several times on HG. I have a R4 and I use it with pokesav to check IVs or to backup pokemon. I saved the Mew into a .pkm file and ran it into the legality checker (the one available off pokesav site) and it says my Mew is an hacked or unknown pokemon. My HG copy is legit, I don't have an AR and I never modified that save with pokesav, I just use it to check stats and stuff. I already RNG'd several other Wondercard pokemons but it's the first time I got this problem. I did RNG this Mew like 5 times and I got the problem everytime.

Anyone who RNG'd the recent Mew got the same issue?

You're missing the point of their advice. A higher delay means more than a minute, probably more than a minute and a half. And you get a higher delay by choosing an ID/SID combo from the generated list on Pandora's Box that has a higher delay. It's that simple.

Pokesav isn't properly set up for HGSS. The program is old.

I'm about to RNG the new FAL2010 Mew on HG/SS, but I'm unsure whether I need to call Elm or not to verify if I've hit my seed? If I do this, does the frame advance 1 per call (during the seed verification period)?

Hopefully you can make sense of what I wrote...

Yes. For every call you make to Elm, the frame advances by one. So after confirming your seed, you've advanced 9 frames.

Okay thank you.

Also, can I simply copy the desired seed from here into the Seed to Times window of the RNG Reporter then proceed to hit it...?

I'd copy it in the Seed (Hex) thing in the main RNG reporter and set the Method to Wondercard IVs, and press Generate, then you'll see all Elm responses with which you can verify on what frame you are. When you've done that you can press Seed to Time and the seed will be in the box as well.

Good luck!

@UUWarrior

Yes, you can do that, however that will only confirm that you've hit your seed. Here's a better idea:

Copy and paste whichever seed you like into the main window of RNG reporter. Then in the uppermost dropbox (by default reads "Method 1"), change it to WonderCard IVs.
Then in the max Frame enter the "Target Frame" listed next to the seed you chose from your link.
Then click generate.

If you then go to Seed to Time, and confirm your seed in the usual way, once you are sure you've hit your seed, you can switch back to the main screen of RNG Reporter, and track your frame advancements on there. It should have the Elm calls listed in one of the columns (the one that has {E,K,P} as it's only entries :P )

Keep advancing the frame until you have made the call for the frame before your target frame. Then as quickly as you can talk to the man, and receive your Mew. Should be from your target frame.

Edit: Beaten to the response by Kiebin :P

Yours was more detailed, though.

Thanks for your answer. If I trade it to a Platinum game and backup it with Pokesav Pt do you think the backup would be OK?

Okay, so I'm aiming for a Calm Mew with IVs: 31/13/31/31/31/31, but I got Adamant. Now I ask, should I have saved after reaching 1 frame before collecting Mew so I could SR the nature, or was I right to turn it off after receiving the wrong natured Mew without saving?

each seed has its set of frames, so next time you SR you'll get another seed and the corresponding frames will change. I dont think its possible to SR the nature on Wondercard pokemon.

You have to redo the whole process again, because the Mew's Nature is random each time you pick it up, which is VERY frustrating.

Yeah, 42 Elm calls IS pretty time-consuming.

Could I not have saved the game at the 42nd frame though (43 was the maximum frame to reach my target)?
