Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Can someone give me a link to the list of usable PIDs that will give me shiny spread(s). I think I used the wrong PID, but at least I know how to RNG ID+SID through an emulator.

EDIT: Does this PID work fine for shiny flawless adamant spread? a68ffe96 I got as my ID 48256 and SID as 58523.

Questions guys, is it possible to RNG in HGSS pre-Elite 4? Also, is it possible to RNG in HGSS without changing the date in the DS? Thanks! :)

as soon as you reach the daycare you can go on route 35 and battle juggler irwin to get his number and use him instead of Prof Oak

Oh OK, but how can I calibrate since I still can't get a high level Pokemon on the point of my game (I'm still at Ilex Forest) and I also don't have any Rare Candies. Do you know of a solution for that also?

My second question is still waiting for an answer also. Thanks! :)

I never calibrated on HG or SS, I did it when I learned to RNG on Diamond. You can "calibrate" by using your calibration settings from another game (even tho the delay in HGSS is lower) and try to tweak it by checking seeds with Irwin calls until you get good settings
About your 2nd question, no it's not possible to RNG without changing the date or hour

Oh, but the thing is, this will be my first time to do a RNG attempt, and almost all of my Pokemon games' point are still pre-Elite 4. So what should I do?

Well the thing is I'm very methodical, so when I wanted to learn RNG, as all the basics tutorials are about DPPt I started learning on Diamond, then I read the HGSS RNG post on page 1 of this thread to see the differences between versions. But I know it can be a long process (even more if you dont have DPPt).
If it's just a matter of delay and you already understand the principles of RNGing, then you can try to play with pikatimer, with basics settings like 600 calibrated delay and 12 seconds, and try to check with irwin calls where you land with the Seed To Time results. You check if you got the right second (should be easy to fix that) then depending on what delay you hit you play with the Other delay box to tweak the delay until you reach your target. That's how I did it first time I tried on SS and it worked fine even without initial calibrating. But if I hadn't done it on Diamond in the first place I wouldn't have understood what's it's all about.

I wouldn't suggest starting with 600 and 12 seconds. It will be much easier to start with the standard numbers that most use. Start with a calbrated delay of 490 and seconds of 14. I have RNG'd across 4 games and that has worked on ALL of them. You will know the seconds are off if you can't hit the right second no matter what you do. Then just move the second one up or one down and try again.

I may be mistaken (not trying to argue or anything) but on DPPt I believe the minimum delay you can reach is about 600 (that's what the tutorial says and it's true for me). I know most people reach much lower delays around 450-500 on HGSS but I don't know why but even at full speed I reach 580 at best (which is not a problem to me).
Anyhow I believe you can go with basically any kind of start settings, it's just a matter of personal tweaking

Even if you were right you misunderstood what I said. I am talking about the calibrated delay. If you open up the pikatimer that is the option you fill in in the very top very left box. I set that to 490. The delay you actually hit in the game is different from the calibrated delay. From what I understand, DPPt RNG was a bit more difficult in the beginning because you needed to have a more accurate calibrated delay and then better timers came out that allowed you to get more accurate results. That, more or less, did away with actually using the calibrated delay as the delay one tended to go for.

Anyways, I said that because I have now RNG'd 10 Pokemon in Platinum (Just started a few days ago) and I use a calibrated delay of 490 with the Pikatimer. The delays I actually hit are usually from 550-820 though.

You're right. The minimum delay is in the range of 600 for DPPt, plus or minus 20. You have to understand that some of the advice you've been getting has to do with the fact that Pikatimer exists. Used by someone who isn't confused, Pikatimer is an awesome tool for RNG abuse. But before it existed, all we had was a clock with a second hand. Calibration is important when you use a clock with a second hand.

You can skip calibration on HGSS if you are using Pikatimer. The delay is in the 490 range. You should not choose seeds with delays below 500. The seconds can be adjusted depending on which second you land on when getting into the game.

But getting back to something I read earlier in your posts, I do not recommend that you RNG on HGSS until after you beat the Elite Four and step into Kanto. It only takes a day or so to get through the game and beat the Elite Four. It's worth doing so. It just makes everything easier.

Another way is if you can RNG abuse on an emulator and be able to transfer saves. That way, you don't need to beat the entire game. (Unless your going for legends only available after E4 or the beasts)

Does anyone know how I can check the PID of an egg in Emerald other than save stating, hatching it, migrating it to a gen 4 game and checking it in pokesav? RSEDecode keeps crashing on my computer (which is vista), even after I tried to open it with command prompt, run as administrator, etc...

Will IVs to PID calcs work (such as X-Act's or the one in RNG Reporter)? I've heard that they don't work for bred pokes.

Pretty certain IVs to PID calcs will NOT work for bred pokes, since 3 of the IVs (most likely) don't come from the PID, but from the parents instead.

There's no way I can think of other than the one you posted if you can't get the other program working on your computer, sorry.

Oh OK thanks for the answers. Now I have another set of questions:
1. Is it possible to RNG Sudowoodo in HGSS earlier?
2. Is the K, E, and P on the RNG Reporter for Professor Elm "and for Juggler Irwin as well"?

Thanks in advanced! :)

Had that answered on your PM.
To reiterate..

1. Yes.
2. Yes and these are the equivalent Irwin Calls.

K: “I'm so glad you called! I was just about to call you, too! I guess we must be a good match!”
E: “Hearing about your escapades rocks my soul! It sure does!”
P: “How are you? What are you doing? Where are you? How many Badges do you have now? How much money have you saved? How's your mom? Have you got lots of Pokémon? Is it going to be sunny tomorrow? Arrgh, there's so much I want to chat about! This is going nowhere!”

Credits to Nexus for his thread.

KK quick question. I need help Abusing wonder cards on SS. Do we put it under Method 1 or Wonder Card IVs. My guess is the second one, but I'm trying to make sure before i attempt it. Thanks!
