I was just giving an example on the 1, 3, 5. Just to try and explain what encounter slots are. I have no clue what encounter slots Horsea is on in what area.
The Pokemon's encounter slots change depending the area.

If the frame doesn't match the encounter slot, find a different frame on that seed that has the desired spread, but hope that it has the encounter slot you're looking for.
As if you can't find a frame that has the correct encounter slot, that means you won't be able to get a Horsea with that seed.
 
In PokeRNG I found a decent seed. I checked Enc Slot and I checked Use synch and then checked the water 1 2 3 4 boxes. THen I plugged it in to RNG Reporter but nothing matched. I don't even know if I know how to read it right....

EDIT: PokeRNG just crashed, I lost that seed. Why does this have to be so confusing? I just want a ChestoRest Kingra in a Net / Dive Ball. :(

What IV's are you looking for and what nature?

No need for Time Finder.
Just put it in the main window, than look through the frames with the spread you want, and see if the Encounter Slots match.
Than click Seeds to Time than reset for the seed.

Open the program, put it to HGSS, mark the shiny box, input your ID/SID.
Set all the IV's to 0. Than set the drop down box to =>.
Set the minimum delay to 488, max to 10,000. Max frame to 0.
Than click search, and it will find all your shiny spreads for that ID/SID

Sorry, very new to this rng stuff and need some help.

I have downloaded Wichu's programs: PokeRNG, coin flip, and Wonder card helper. I'm trying to rng Entei. My question is, do I need RNG reporter as well? I have found the seed (0xa140262) I want to use and I think I got it once using the coin flip. But I seem to have a problem finding the right delay.

The time I'm shooting for is 1/1/11 20:09:00. Do I need to be pressing continue when the clock hits that time?

I've read the instruction guides and I'm afraid I'm still a little lost.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm on a mac, which is why I asked about RNG Reporter, which I believe is unavailable for mac...
 
Stationary legends usually don't have NPCs around to mess up everything (or not), and you don't have to bother with encounter slots.

So I've been RNGing in HGSS for three days now and I can hit the delays I want within 1 to 2 tries, however, I just realized there's something I can't figure out. Today, I was asked to RNG a non shiny, flawless egg with a certain nature and certain ability. I could RNG the same shiny version in no time at all using RNG Reporter to determine the seed I need to hit for shiny/nature/ability; however, I don't know how to use RNG Reporter to determine the seed I need to hit for just a certain nature/ability combo and I'd really rather not sit there and do it the conventional method (with everstones and such). Is there some way to get a seed for a desired nature/ability combo only? Thanks,

Just guessing here.. But wouldn't putting in a random SID work?

You use a different ID or SID than you normally do. The rest of the process is the same. My recommendation is to change the first number of your ID by 3. Search for a shiny egg and hit that seed. It'll come out non-shiny.

Edit: half-ninja'd. It would usually work to use a random one, but my way is a little safer.
