Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I don't get this. I've read the first page, and I still don't know how to get a shiny timid rotom. Please help me.....

Read more, and try it by yourself. Then tell us step by step what you are doing in order to we can help you... This kind of questions are annoying for those people (like me) that have read are reading all the pages in this thread....

BTW, mingot, i've just seen that the version 5.00 is now available, i'm gonna try it to loik the new features. This is what readme says:

New in Version 5.00
- Remove Time field from Method J output
- Remove Time field from DPPt Breeding output
- Added the mini-dex to show abilities (4th gen) and base stats for all pokemon.
- Added simple standalone IV checker functionality.
- Monster seed in initial seed finder no londer shown by default, but can be shown with checkbox.
- Offset in initial seed finder no longer shown by default, but can be shown with checkbox.
- Add IV Check to Seed Finder
- Flip finder (10 flips) in the egg iv time finder
- FIX: problem with max frame not being honored all of the time in the capture time finder.
- FIX: crash bug when invalid seed was entered into the seed->time dialog.
- FIX: problem with progress dialog when > 2^31 frames searched.

Nice work dude, you're amazing =P I realize that there is some awesome new features :)

EDIT: I'm testing something that could help to some new people to get shiny eggs a little bit easily.

For now, unless you have access to either a Cyclo DS or an emulator with save states, I would stick to SRing the Flower Paradise Shaymin

Ok then I'll stick with Method J.

I found in the special Spread Sheet the next thing:

5204025f, 3507, f1951463, , Naive, 1, 31, 30, 30, 31, 31, 31, Ice, 70, F, M, M, F

I'm going for my own NaiveTran. with those IVs. Can anyone explain me what to do next?

I think myself putting 5204025f into the seed to time generator and then find the date I want.

If that is correct I'll need to do in 2007 because in 2009 the delay needed will be 598 wich is for me almost impossible, while 600 is more common for me.

The time for me would be:
2007 06 0204:57:13600

guys i read the OP but i still dont understand how can have certain IVs generate, i got the 8 calls and stuff but how exactly can you make your pokemon get 31 in attack?

Okay, so I've tried twice (yeah, probably not enough, but I still might be doing something wrong) to get a shiny egg.

What I did is this (just in case I made a mistake):

1. Saved in the route above the Resort Area.
2. SR'd and noted the time when I pressed continue.
3. Caught a Pokémon and checked its IVs/nature.
4. Inputted that information into the Seed finder.
5. Chose a reasonable initial seed.
6. Used a low frame.
7. Used fly to get to Solaceon.
8. Did the taps/flips.
9. Went inside, deposited Pokémon and put in my parents.
10. Rode my bike around til the man had the egg.
11. Picked up the egg and hatched it, it wasn't shiny.

EDIT: And yes, I did put my ID and SID in and checked the shiny box.
@Mingot: I've been seeing a lot of these kind of questions lately and I wrote this small tip a while back and thought it might be helpful. Of course it's up to you if it is OP worthy, but I just thought that it would be heaps easier if people could narrow down what could be going wrong without having to ask every time.

The best thing to do when you hatch a non-shiny is to check the nature, ability and gender. If it has the same nature ability and gender as the shiny pokemon you were aiming for then your ID/SID is wrong.

If these details are completely different then you have made a mistake. Try to find you position on the list of eggs. I would suggest you uncheck shiny only, re-click generate, right click on the list and do output to CSV. You can then open that file and do Ctrl+F for the nature of your hatched pokemon. Then hatch another 1 or 2 eggs and look on the list for those pokemon's nature in that order. If you find them there, then that means you've made a mistake with your taps/flips.

Eg- You hatch a non-shiny female Charmander, naive nature which is different to what you were aiming for. You output your results to CSV and find a naive female frame on the list. You then hatch the next egg and find it is a Bashful male egg, you find this on the list after your naive female frame. Do this one more time to confirm how far off you were.

Obviously can be tinkered with in any way you see fit.

How funny. I caught a Heatran with that exact same spread tonight. You have the wrong seed tho. The special spreadsheet is for Method 1 pokemon and Heatran is a method J. The seed you want is: 5c1102c6.

Here's my post: Click me.

It has all of the info I used. The delay is a little on the high side for my taste, but with practice it's not too hard to hit. good luck!

Ah lol.

Well I'll do:

repeatsp7.png

Naive - Female
31/30/30/31/31/31 HP Ice 70

Seed: 5c1102c6
Date: 16/05/2099
Time: 17:00:12
Delay: 611
Frame: 922

So that means 922 - 1 = 921.

460 flips and 1 time 128 steps with 1 pokemon in my party ?

Well, I dunno if 1 poke in the party will work. You need some HM moves just to get to it's room. You also have to make sure you use a naive synchronizer. And last but not least, don't make the same mistake I made...count 1 frame for each runner (mesprit, birds, cressy) that you have out. I forgot I released Mesprit and ended up being 1 frame off.

I dont have any runners out.

I'm doing this on DSTT so I have acces to WTW.

....-.-
done that.
i read the post over 12 times. please highlight the section where it says how you ensure creation of IV, i've read everything about how they are created

They are created be the RNG in the game. If you look in RNG reporter, it says breeding DPPT, and you can search for spreads at different times.

I am sorry if this is a stupid question, but I couldn't find it.
I have succesfully been hatching around 15 shinies, but then I wanted to try the IV breeding. But someone on another forum told be that it would be easier for me to start with legends.

So I tried it, and have come to a few questions.
1. Is frame called offset in RNG reporter 4.6?
2. What is the difference between that frame and the one of the legend itself? Heatran for example had a frame of 1.
3. Does your frame always start from 1? or is it random?
4. How do the runners affect the frame? do you start with a few higher (the number of runner at that time)?
5. How can i check my current frame?

I hope someone can answer these questions.

1. Frame and offset are 2 different things. Everyone who is saying offset should be saying frame.
2. That just means if you were to SR right in front of it, the nature and IVs you would get would be on the frame.
3. Always at 1, and there are things that advance it.
4. If a runner is out, it advances it by 1. So you would start at frame 2 if one runner is out.
5. You start at 1 so its better just to use that knowledge and advance from there. You could catch a pokemon and do some other stuff, but its not worth it.

Thank you for the reply.

Ok, so if my target frame was seven, I begin at 1, 2 because of a runner, then walk 128 steps with 5 pokemon. I'd be at seven. Then I want to catch heatran, So I talk to it, and what does his frame of 1 do?

And if they are different, where can i then find the frame, i can only find the offset.
