Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Oh! lol well it is a good thing I haven't attempted yet.
Anything else I should know before starting? I'd be glad to report my results when I'm done.
Even though I'm a novice, I feel like I can help.

Is there any way to check the intial seed using a level 50 fixed nature Wondercard poke without using AR to check its IVs?

Use the adjacents finder in the seed->time dialog with coin flips to find your seed. There is no easy way to check with or without an AR when doing wondercards and it is very unlikely that I will be adding support for that.

No, it does not. Additionally, if you are not doing that many flips you could always just fly to the fight area and then catch something to get your initial seed. But really, the coin flips should be quicker and easier.

When I hit my delay, should I advance the frame before using the radar, or after?
Is there a thread for radar abuse trials?

i maneged to get the same frame 2x in a row but when i am trying to get to the third to confirm that i am saved on that frame i can t seem to hit it
what is going on?

and i have tried it for 3x times now

No there is no thread, and there won't ever be. We know the basics of it already and there are only a few problems left that are occurring which you cannot help with based on your question.

Care to fill me in? Haha, I really want this Togepi.
Okay, I can't help out, but if it isn't feasible to do this, I'd like to know before I waste any more attempts.

Yeah, that's what you need to do. Make sure your delay stays the same, though; figure out how long it takes you to press Continue after SRing, and actually reset your game that long before.

I find the easiest way to get the right seconds, without an external clock, is to find a seed with a seconds value of 19.
This is because if you change the clock, turn off the DS after the 'Settings saved' message, immediately turn it back on, and mash A, that's the time that elapses from when you changed it. It means you don't have to synchronise it with an external clock, allowing you to abuse on the move (or without a computer).

Wait, Wichu what exactly do you mean?
[Seed with seconds value of 19 in use]

- Change the time
- Quickly turn off and start the game
- Done?

If you could illustrate it step-by-step please. I'm that sort of not-quite-grasping-it person lol sorry

Would someone mind explaining to me exactly what he (she?) meant please?

Hmm... For some reason when I try owning the RNG downloadable version 7, it says

"Command Line option syntax error. Type Command /? for Help"

Anyone know how I can fix this?

This is partially true. However, a particular seed doesn't always generate a movement. It seems to depend somewhat on the save file prior to. I tried hitting a 31/A/31/A/31/A spread three times over my vacation. I hit it twice without a hitch. The third time, I had the NPC problem. I suggest resaving then trying again, making sure you are on a frame that is a multiple of 2 under the target.

Thanks bears! I tried it and it worked (on frame 7 xD).

I'm going for an Adamant Scyther on frame 1226. Encounter slot #6, which is a scyther. 1226 - 2 = 1224, no roaming legengs, so it's 612 taps. Once I hit my delay, I confirmed it with coin flips and made sure the guy on the left didn't move while I was flipping the coins. I did all the taps, then sweet scented, without moving. I ended up on frame 1268 with an Adamant oddish.
What did I do wrong?

Sometimes NPCs in other routes and areas affect your frame. Also, NPCs in that whole area affect your frame, not just the ones on screen (thanks for the friendly reminder that I forgot to mention Vaps :P). Maybe that was the case. I don't really see another explanation.

You either did 1 extra journal flip or have roamers out and looked at the wrong app (someone has done this before). Also, you might have hit a different frame that was also a oddish. Like +-2 or 4 or whatever over or under and messed up on journal flips.

Well I checked all of the frames that had the oddish's ivs, and 1268 was the only one with Oddish's encounter slot.
And I caught all of the roamers a long time ago. :[

Wow, this stuff is amazing. Just got my first fully rng abused pkm hp ice infernape.

Edit: just noticed I'm posting this on page 346, infernape's max speed. wtflip.

Is there another way to confirm what delay I alnded on, other than the coinflips? I found a guy the turns around on the route I'm trying to catch my pokemon. He moves much too often to get 10 coinflips in. Would swet scenting a pokemon to catch it and find the initial seed work? Or would it mess up the frame?

Thanks, Vaporeon. I think I'll wait for a second opinion.

Like Vaporeon said, yes you can. Just make sure you open up the menu fast enough after catching the pokemon so the NPC doesn't affect you. If you see the NPC, you can guess how many it advanced.

To find out how many journal flips you need to do after sweet scenting once, do this math:

Target Frame - Actual Frame (of caught pokemon) - 7 on grass and caves, 8 in water (5 for battle, 1 for monster frame, 1 for Sweet scent)

If that number is odd, you can close the menu, turn, and open the menu again, or you can try and use the NPC to your advantage. If the number is even, divide by 2, do the journal flips, and then sweet scent. Try not to have a runner while doing this, because I am not sure if advances 1 after the battle to find its new location or not.

On a related note, how do you tell if a NPC is in a fixed movement pattern? Does that mean they are moving continuously or should I just check by checking the frame?
