Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Actually, I saved inside Snowpoint temple trying to catch a Sneasel with a Jolly Synch. If I'm inside the tempke with five Pokemon (indlucing a Sweet Scenter and my faithed Synchronizer), what should I do in orther to hit the odd-numbered frame (that's all Iv'e got that has exacly 900 delay and perfect IVs, in 2014 of course)?
Any help? Just flip 1549 times, walk one step inside Snowpoint temple, use Sweet Scent to hit 3101 frames?

So, is it ever detrimental to carry a synchronizer?
Sometimes it is detrimental. It just depends on the spread. For example, my Calm spread needs a Syncronizer, and having that increases the number of frames your spread is on, like yawg said. More frames=more chances to get a spread on a Pokemon you want.

Could you explain a situation where this would be detrimental?

This is regarding when you try to hatch a Shiny Pokemon with RNG Reporter. Whenever i do it, I put in the stats, get my happiness taps, and then get my egg, when it hatches, it has the right nature and ability, but no shiny... and I made sure i checked the shiny box. Help?

For some reason, whenever I input 30 or 31 iv's into the Time Finder it doesn't respond(ie. crash)
Anyone know why?
Here's a scrn of what comes up when I start it

Delete it, download the program again. That could help.

@P_L: It might be that you didn't account for the correct gender ratio.

This may be a dumb question but I don't think it was answered anywhere in the thread. I've checked the original post over too. Once I get my SID, what do I do with it in order to catch shiny pokemon? Is it's only use to be filled out in the SID section of the spread finder?

Edit: Do i have to search every year pretty much manually to find a good spread?

No, please don't do that, you'll just drive yourself crazy. Use Wichu's Pokerng program (it's NOT RNGreporter; a link to said program may be found within the second post on the first page, along with directions on how to use it.)

When using Pokerng make sure you have your SID and ID; when it asks for the delay range minimum and maximum, put in the lowest delay number you found in calibration and a high number like 18,000 in their respective spots.

Everything else should hopefully be self-explanatory.

Is there any pokemon that can make good use of either of these:
2638896205F 69e8f02a (NAIVE, ability 0) 26/26/26/31/27/26 (Seed: 100d0d6e Frame: 203) HP ELECTRIC 70 !!!

Azelf would really enjoy the 31-speed one. HP Ground is occasionally seen on Azelf to dispatch Heatrans.

---

One thing I might want to look into is the level of the Pokemon that you catch via fishing and surfing (grass and cave critter level are determined by the slot, but aquatic slots seem to have a range of levels). I suspect that frame - 1 has something to do with it, as frame - 2 determines the slot...

for the journal flips equation from the video, if i get a number of flips with a decimal, 865.5, what do i do, do i round down?

I already got my crappy Impish non-rng'd non-cared-about azelf. DX

Pity about the 26 speed, Heatran would've loved that HP electric Naive spread.

I want to catch Giratina in Torn world, so could anyone check whether this is correct or not?

METHOD J
SEED: 52140289
SYNCHRONIZER: MODEST

TARGET FRAME: 92
MONSTER FRAME: 12
WANDERING POKEMON: 0

PAGE FLIPS = (92-12-0)/2 = 82/2 = 41 FLIPS

Save the game before I walk to giratina,
Have a "CAUGHT a .." in the page(s), so I can advance the frame.

begin SR-ing
Check whether I hit the correct the correct seed with coin flip app
After I hit the correct seed, proceed to journal flipping (in my case, 41 flips)
Finally, walk to giratina

Is this correct?

EDIT: I think I made some errors.

That is correct, but there's a small niggle that isn't described in the RNG topic: You'll unfortunately have to check the starting frame of Distortion World Giratina yourself. It seems different for nearly everyone who tried it. I know mine came at a starting frame of 1, and some folks had it and a frame of whooping 25. However, in my experience the numbers are constant, therefore you should be able to get your target frame easily once you figure the starting frame.

I'm breeding a Larvitar and I'm at the point where I have to find out the frame I'm on right now, so I can subtract that from my target frame. For some reason, in all my resets, the frame has been too high and has changed every single time. Why?

Or you could just be standing right in front of him before you SR. My Giratina was on a monster frame of 23; so, as the other poster said, hit your frame and do the number of flips you have now. If it isn't right, calculate your new monster frame.

Could you explain how you find the frame in details?
Saved in front of man with egg, reset taking note of time when I continue, collect egg before NPCs move, catch wild pokemon, enter nature and IVs into seed finder, click OK and generate for Breeding (DPPt), and the frame with the IVs the Pokemon has is around 100 but always changing.

I think there are some errors in the process of finding the frame

After you catch wild pokemon,
- Open 'Seed Finder'
- Then choose 'find initial seed by stats'
- Input all the data required, the year, month, date, hour, minutes, the wild pokemon's status and nature. (All of these data you get from the moment you soft reset) Then click "FIND"
- After you get the seed, then go back to the main window of RNG reporter
- Switch the method to "DPPt breeding"
- Click "generate"
- Hatch the egg
- Search the IV of the pokemon that hatched from the egg

There you go, that's your frame
