You really need to reset to start over.

Also, if you have an R4 you could always see how far you were off by finding your egg pid on the list.

@ Torso - Be nice to know if starting with the friendship checker on advances it by the # * 2 when you start the game. We are pretty sure switching to it activates it.

Nope, only an AR. Starting over now. I think the old guy got an egg before i caught the pokemon is what happened.

Just going to confirm for myself what switching apps does to advance it. Then I'll try starting with the friendship checker.

So, I started on Coin Toss, here, switched to another app (Just one switch), and my PID was:

Which is here on the list:

What the fuck. So, you guys were wrong? I guess it only matters if you switch to certain apps. (I switched to Link Finder)

We weren't wrong. The only app the advances when you switch to it is the friendship checker I believe.

No, I believe it does not affect it, only when you flip.

On accident, I can verify if it affects it because I passed it and went back to it.

One hting I noticed, Mingot, is that in your picture for the rngreporter, it says Seconds (0-23) when it should be (0-59)

I am verifying this right now because I passed it and went back to it which would advance it one to many, so if I don't get a shiny, it advances it, if I do, it doesn't.

I can't get a shiny >.> I suck. Two in a row, and no shiny.

This is what I do, see if there's a mistake.

1) Save in a sweet scent patch. Man DOESNT have an egg. 5 slots open in my party.
2) Reset game, set time to 12:00. Enter game with Poketch at App. 5
3) Use sweet scent. Catch the pokemon. Use RNG reporter to get the Initial Seed.
4) Plug in my SID and ID into the Jap. App Along with the seed. (I have 6 Pokemon now, from wild catch.)
5) Get the shiny spreads.
6) Divide lowest frame by 12.

1428 / 12 = 119. 119 - 1 = 118

7) Switch to app 6, make them jump 118 times.
8) Go to Pastoria. Deposit pokemon I caught.
9) Ride around until old man has the egg, take, hatch.

If you could find the PID of the egg you hatched you could probably see what was wrong.

I can't really confirm the coin flip adjusting it, because somehow I was 4 frames behind.

Also with mingot's question, you don't have everstone right.

I do NOT. That would have been embarrassing. Is it maybe that I'm depositing a Pokemon before he has the egg?

So, I started out with the Happiness Checker as the app on my Poketech. I got this:

21. I started off with two things. I caught the Bibarel for my seed, that's 3. Then I got the egg. Never touched the Poketech. So, I'm thinking...

2*2 = 4 (Advances since I started on that app)
2*3 = 6 (When it updated with Bibare)

But that should only be an advancement by 10... So I'm not sure.

Having the happiness app open while you deposit a pokemon would, I think, not be good. Perhaps switch away from it before your deposit? And you are resetting and finding a new initial seed each time, right?

Could some others help me test what happens when you start with the Happiness Checker as your app? Meaning, go to the Happiness Checker, save, reset, then find your seed and the PID of the egg and such.

GAH!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY CAN'T I GET A SHINY?!?!?!

Could it be that all my numbers have been divisable by 12 so far, so I have no remainder? Also, if I trade my pokemon to someone, could they check it's PID?

Pink, I have had a zero remainder and never got a shiny either.

All of mine have been 0 remainder, and I get no shiny. It's weird. Can someone check PID please? To see if I messed up?

I'll try again and see if I don't get a remainder >.>

Maybe you reseted at the same time. By the way, you don't have to put it at 12, you can use anytime.

I know, I'm just using that time. But they were two different pokemon with different IVs and natures. That's what I don't get.
