Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Okay I got it, I just haven't done it in awhile, thanks mingot.
My next problem is that I ended up with a Roselia instead of a Pichu. I took the last 4 digits of the PID and divided by 656 and got 57, which should correspond with slot 3, which is Pichu. But Roselia is slot 1 and 4, so I don't know what happened? I used this link to find the slots.
 
RNG Reporter Support

On any method J frame right click and select "Calculate Encounter Slots". It will do all of the work for you and provide links to charts so that you can look up what monster appears on which frame. Unless you are interested in the low level details you may skip all of the information below.
 
So how would I find out which frame I hit if I didn't get what I expected to get?

Well, when you hit 'Generate' there is going to be a list of natures/IVs/Etc.

You are going to have a Pokemon you just captured.

Using it's Nature/IVs/ETC find it on the list.

Simplified example:

You have picked up a sheet of paper with the letter A on it. Find it on the list below:

1. Q
2. Z
3. A
4. T

So in this example you have found that the letter A is in the 3rd item in the list.

Very similar concept for finding your frame.
 
Well, since my games were stolen and that crap, I'm using an DSTT, but my delay switches from even/not even all the time. I don't understand a crap out this anymore <_> Is there a logical explanation for this? It was 605, now I changed the year for that, and now it's 606 again. With my old game this never happend, I ony had even numbers.
 
I think I've figured out why I didn't get what I expected. I've only just realised that, like the fool I am, I never noticed the ID and SID boxes in the DPPt capture tab, which meant that they were left as 00000.

*facepalm*

I just got this Cresselia:
seed 9c100264, frame 5177, Bold, 31/26/31/30/30/31, HP Ground 70

Yes, that's a frame of 5177! I set my journal up to where the first and last pages have no catch data, but the middle 8 do, and I flipped from the front to the back 323 times (323 x 16 = 5168), then flipped two pages, and talked to Cresselia (5168 + 2 + 2 + 5 = 5177). I spaced out my front-to-back counting in increments of 100 so I could take a break at an easy number to retain my sanity. It was definitely not fun, but the Cresselia should be worth it!

2. ONLY REQUIRED IF YOU WISH TO CAPTURE SHINY POKEMON. Your ID and SID for the game where you wish to hatch shinies. You SID, or Secret ID, is not visible by normal means, but can be easily retrieved if you have a caught (non-chained) shiny and then by doing to bit of math or using the "IVs to PID" feature in RNG Reporter. Additionally, you can deduce your SID if you have between 4 and 8 chained shinies using the "Chain to SID" feature of RNG Reporter.

thanks, i thought i had read that before, but didn't see it while looking over it today.
 
can someone recheck my SID i think it might be wrong

i have tried like over 10 times and i cannot get an initial seed it keeps saying date and time is wrong but if 9 pm is 21 and today is the month 8 and date 5 then thats correct and my computer and a clock i have in my room is the same as the clock on my DS and i tought it was that i needed PID but i dont so it has to be my SID or ID

SIDs are numbers between 0 and 65535, so yes that looks right.

What does that have to do your your SID?

The date of your DS when you hit continue is not the date that you are entering into the seed finder.
 
Ok, SID and ID are a positive in being correct check.

Next order of business, how do I get the time finder app. for d/p/pt. capture tab to find a spread, do I just play around with it until a reasonable spread pops up?

Uh, no. That is not verification in any sense of the word.

EVERY number between 0-65535 *can be* a valid SID.

Yes, try experimenting.

What's wrong is that the time on your DS when you hit continue is not the time you are typing into the seed finder.

You do realize the DS uses a 24 hour clock, right?

6PM = 18
 
Ok, send me *every* bit of information you are entering in the seedfinder. Leave nothing at all out.

Also, where and at what level is the Pokemon you are catching?
 
and mingot see i do have a problem with the word "you" im on the could be banned list for getting so many infractions all on the same day

the pokemons levels are 50 or higher thats what the thread said needed to be used right
and by all the information do you also mean the pokemons stats or just date and time
