Alright, so I've worked out all of my other kinks and just hit my time and delay right on (15 secs; 598 delay), but for some reason my frame was off by 6 (shooting for 62 and got 56). I don't think that NPC movement could cause this much variation; so, what might be some other causes for my error? My frame required 27 journal flips: 1 for the first page with a caught Pokemon, and then 26 more following that.
It seems you calibrated a frame of 8, but the frame you got when you got your egg was 2. I suggest you try again and instead of doing 27 total, try 30, which makes up for the 6 frames lower. Normally the NPCs would only make you off by a few frames, but you were off by 6.
I'm having a rather strange problem. So I used Wichu's program to find some shiny spreads so that I could soft-reset for Giratina-O in platinum. So I did what Wichu's guide said to convert it to Method J in RNG reporter and it still showed up as shiny in RNG reporter. I followed the steps detailed in Mingot's guide on how to catch perfect pokemon and was eventually able to hit the spread I wanted, unfortunantly upon catching Giratina the nature and all the IVs where right but for some reason It was'nt shiny. Any Idea why this might be happening?
I also think it's worth noting that I had the same problem masterdelux247 brought up a while back about the frame advancing by eleven when the journal is used in the torn world.
In that case I think I know what the problem is. When using the action replay code to find your SID and only 4 digits appear does that mean that the zero is at the front or the back of the number?Well if you got the right IVs and nature, you clearly have the wrong ID and SID.
Ok then thanks for the help.
EDIT: Turns out the problem was that I entered my regular ID as 62984 instead of 62948. God I'm dumb.
It's fine, I just put it in my signature then. Trying to not rely on the coin flips but hit the frame and capturing something every reset.OH. PokéRadar RNG sucks :( I want a high stats CAPTURED Shiny Togepi.
I wish there was a perfected method.
EDIT: Also sorry I PMed instead of posting in your thread :(
The frame from the movements of the people >__>. I'm not a pro at this but you should have the journal open when you press continue, do the journal flips then get the egg as fast as you can, hoping you get the right frame. So I just did everything I needed to get a flawless chimchar. Moved my frame to 20, got the perfect order of 10 coin flips, took the egg and saved, but the IVs aren't waht they should be. And yes I'm sure that the parent's order was correct. Flawless ditto is A. The spread should have given me A/31/31/31/A/A but i've got a bunch of 3s and 18s and stuff that shouldn't be there because the sucky chimchar was parent B.
IDK what I did wrong!
If your frame is high enough, it may be possible to abuse it with pokeradar because it overwrites the encounter slots if you are on a chain sometimes.
Wichu's program only has method 1, so the frame it gives back is the method frame, but it is off by 3 frames. So you always have to put it in RNG reporter and set it to method J and with or without syncher to find out what frame you need.
Also, Chaos was right earlier. People are used to using the sweet scent number 2. One is from the monster frame, and another from the sweet scenting. Target - 1 monster frame - 1 sweet scent =148 /2 = 74 Journal flips.
You don't start on frame 6. If you want to tell me where you saw this, maybe in an example in the OP, it could get fixed. You find out what frame it is for your egg, and do it every time. Since you got 5, use 5.
