Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

better yet, if you are going for catching projects, its better to kill them outright so you dont have to bother with them anymore they will respawn after defeating the E4 however :P
 
@Jono: I've found that they can be wrong from time to time. But everytime it's happened to me, I've found that each of them has a route from a nearby delay (like one will get it from delay 490 and one will get it from 491 or something along those lines). I usually uses them to verify, and if I don't find a match I use Elm calls to see what I did hit.

There is one part of the game where they may frig you up and I think it's when you're in Kanto just before you need to fix the Power Plant to get the radio running properly over there. Also, when Team Rocket takes over the Johto station, that causes trouble.

Otherwise, you should just resave your game with the roamers at new positions. If one of them happens to be in a position that should have been the same position for your target delay, you will have trouble with matching roamers. And don't off them. The roamers are very useful. Once you've confirmed you are on the right seconds, they tell you where you are without needing to do Elm calls when you open up the game. This saves time when you're still trying to hit your delay.
 
I'm planning on reseting Jirachi, but I've only done in game RNG abuse with eggs so I want to check my facts and stuff here.

Jirachi is a method 1 pokemon that starts on frame 1. In order to get a certain spread, I need to use predetermined seeds, and pikatimer in order to hit that specific seed. It is random natured so I have to hit my seed and frame then check to see if it's the nature I want. The people in the pokemart advance the frame so you have to be fast. Frames can be advanced by calling elm/joey(hgss) and the journal(dppt). Roamer's advance the RNG (unless they are dead/captured).

That's everything I need to know right?
 
Is there anyone on Smogon that will personally teach/help me with an RNG DD Tyranitar effort? I've read the guides and stuff but I just need someone to walk me through it step by step. Anyone willing to help will receive something nice.
 
Now this is something we could have. There is the tutor-disciple thing going on for battles, we could have that too for RNG.
 
Hey there guys. I'm learning to RNG abuse at the moment but I was wondering if it was actually POSSIBLE to RNG for a Shiny (and hopefully flawless) Celebi. That was my main ambition but because I haven't seen any around on Smogon I'm doubting if it's actually plausible. Thanks. Oh and VM's work great too :)

You can not RNG shiny pokemon from a wondercard unless the wondercard is a shiny wondercard. If there is a way to somehow capture Celebi in the wild you can get a shiny Celebi, otherwise it is impossible.

Not in Gen IV. The game make's sure that you cannot recive a shiny Pokémon from a Wonder Card. But you CAN still have it flawless.

Oh sorry, that was for wondercard abuse, reading the last 3 posts before I got confused. Sorry about that once again. I would just use the Time Finder tab to do that for you, it doesn't take too long to find it.

Can you capture Celebi in Gen III? It will only be shiny if you catch it as unless the event will always be shiny.
 
The only way to get Celebi in the third gen nowadays is to get the Japanese bonus disc for 300 dollars and having a third gen cart that has beaten the Elite Four, and you can only get one per cart.
 
This is ridiculous! I've searched for a 31/30/31/30/31/30 HP Fire spread in 7/2010 with a min delay of 618 and max of 640. My min frame is 5 and max is 99. I've gone from 0 seconds to 40 seconds and haven't found a result. My parents are Syb's flawless Ditto and a random terrible IVs pokemon. Is there a way to search faster?

I have Aromaflora's HP Fire 70 Ditto from his giveaway, I can let you use that. Also try changing the min and max delays. For the max delay you can use almost anything due to Emloop/PikaTimer.
 
Can anybody help me? Question is in Sig. Also, if my L and R buttons don't work can I just set the DS to automatic game loading and turn it off instead of pressing L+R+select+Start?
 
For some reason, my PikaTimer doesn't make countdown pings anymore? I've done nothing to change it, does anyone have any suggestions? My sound works for Youtube videos and other things, so I dunno.
