Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Without Latios you won't be able to verify your seed, you'll need at least one roamer released for the roamer method
I guess you could try radioseed(I'm not familiar with it) but the link in the OP is broken

When the first timer ends you SR,you button mash to Continue screen and when the second timer ends you press A.1912 frame is high, aim for higher delay and lower frame

Alright thanks. All I was looking for.

EDIT: Okay, so same problem occurs were I don't have enough time to start the game. This time I am only given 12.83 seconds on the 2nd timer and I am just like a second off of that while button mashing.

But anyways after a while trying to RNG Lugia I haven't gotten anywhere close to the delay or if I even hit the seed or whatever. I think it's due to me not having enough time on the 2nd timer, but still...

I'm having problems with RNG breeding, hopefully someone can help. Before I start, I've used this method successfully already, three times, with different pokemon, different spreads, and such. Now it's not working for some reason.

The weird thing is, I get the desired IV spread, but the PID frame matches something upwards up 200.

Seed: F2DE54FC9982446E
Time: 02:42:15
Date: 11/14/2011
Keypresses: A + X + R

Looks like your keypresses don't match. You're probably looking at a wrong result. looks like you just typo'd there.
You'll have better luck in the 5th gen thread in the future.
Also, you should put large images in HIDE tags.

Sorry, that was an accident, but I was definitely pressing A + X + R. I'll put them in hide tags now, and I'll repost there.

Also on top of this am I supposed to be setting my timer to 1 minute before? Seed I am going for is D91602BF and the time I want to hit 5/27/11 22:32:50

i have a problem with rotom in platinum the problem is my seed 810b042f at 11:16 of morning and rotom only appeared tonight... please help

You set it to whatever the timer the timer tells you to. If it says, 0 minutes before time, you set it to 22:32, 1 minute before, 22:32, etc.

1.Hit seed.
2.Advance Frames
3.Close your DS and wait until night arises (in game)
4.Battle and Capture
5.???
6.Profit

Alright so I have made some major progress as my last delay I hit was 1663 when I am trying to get to 1657. So after that I have to get to the frame right? My frame is on 144 and I start on 1??? So what's the fast way to advance frames? Calling Youngster Joey right (not asking for a rematch)?

EDIT: Hit my delay. Just need those questions figured out. Another thing. Lugia's room doesn't have wild pokemon in it right? So that way walking doesn't advance my frame?

Since this looks to be your first time I recommend copy/pasting your seed in the main page and generate the results and advance the frame up to ~130. After that start calling ELM and make sure his responses matches the one produced my the reporter. How did you know you hit the seed tough? Because if you made the calls that means you're already around frame ~10.
EDIT that, you're in Lugia's room. You're best bet would be advancing the frame with Chatots.

Well I am actually right out side of Lugia's room. I checked with juggler irwin and matched all 12 calls, so I am on frame 13. Chatots advance the frame this gen as well? Well I don't see that in the OP:/ lol oh well.

Okay after a solid hour of trying hit my seed again as I caught a Lugia that was 1 frame of, I could only hit the in between (1655 & 1659) delays. Just pure bad luck?

Yep. If you are updating every time, stop. If not, your luck really sucks and I'm sorry.

Then its my luck lol. One last question. Does the actually interaction with the pokemon advance the frame by one? If so then that's where I messed up.

EDIT: Got em! Just wanted to say thanks to those who helped me get this guy!

Hi,

I have PKMN HG Version and I am trying to learn how to RNG, however I am having a hard time.
First, I started a new game, so far I only have Irwin's number (I obviously have Elm's number but I have not acquired pokerus), and I have the radio card.

I am wondering, can I start RNGing only with these 2 things as a form of frame-advance and seed verification?

Second, I was like extremely lucky to encounter a shiny rattata while going back to prof. Elm to show him the hatched togepi. So with this rattata I looked for my SID number. From what I know so far, with this number, I can RNG to hatch/encounter shiny pokemon too, right?

Finally, I am lucky enough to have a friend who has 2 Arceus. He says one of them is a Hall of Origin Arceus (azure flute or whatever), and the other one is an event Arceus. I read somewhere that you could only do the palkia/dialga/giratina event with an event arceus, however, i did it once on a previous game with his hall of origin arceus with no problem. My friend says you can repeat the event and get a second egg if you have 2 different arceus (in this case the hall of origin and the event arceus, they have different ids) is this true?

Anyways the reason i am asking about the Arceus event is because I would like to know if you can RNG palkia/dialga/giratina without having any roaming pokemon (since i just started the game and i am on the 3rd gym, i suppose i have no roaming pokemon to perform the seed verification)

Any help is completely appreciated, I have read about RNG ALL DAY LONG, and I am having a hard time understanding

Thank you for reading, I know it is long

PD: can you calibrate somewhere and somewhow early in the game? (mt. silver is kind of far)

Yes you can.

If you want good IVs, stick with breeding. But yes, you'll be able to hatch and catch shiny Pokemon now that you have your SID (but the captured Pokemon probably won't have good IVs since you did't abuse your ID/SID).

My friend says you can repeat the event and get a second egg if you have 2 different arceus (in this case the hall of origin and the event arceus, they have different ids) is this true?

It's partly true. The Hall of Origin Arceus was never released, so you can't use that to activate the event. However, if you have the Toys-R-Us Arceus and some other Arceus event (I think it was Michina or something, I can't remember) you can activate the even twice.

Anyways the reason i am asking about the Arceus event is because I would like to know if you can RNG palkia/dialga/giratina without having any roaming pokemon (since i just started the game and i am on the 3rd gym, i suppose i have no roaming pokemon to perform the seed verification)

Yes, you can RNG them without having roaming pokemon. You just have to save outside of the entrance to the ruins and use Irwin to verify your seed and advance your frame.

PD: can you calibrate somewhere and somewhow early in the game? (mt. silver is kind of far)

You don't need to calibrate, just use Eon Timer and it will calibrate for you.

I have a question on how to calibrate using eon timer. (HGSS)

So I opened pokerng and looked for a random seed:
PID: CD6BE374 (Timid, ability 0), IVs: 30/26/30/29/25/27, seed: 150D07C1, delay: 1973 (year: 2012), method 1: 394, K (synch): 333, K (no synch): 335, HP: Ice 39

I copied that seed into the rng reporter seed to time/adjacent finder and got a date, time, and delay as follows:
Seed: 89160920 Date: 2012 01 20 Time 22:59:58 Delay: 2324 Elm Responses: KPEEKEPEPPEE

Now I need to know how to try to hit the seed to see what delay I get.
My eontimer looks like this right now:
Calibrated Delay: 428 (didn't move anything)
Calibrated Sec. : 14 (didn't move anything)
Target Delay: 2324
Target Sec: 58
Delay hit: -
and the time on the left says 72:31, Minutes before target: 1, 45:68

how should I set my ds clock to try to hit the seed?

How come seed to time says your delay 2324? PokeRNG says your delay is 1973 o.O

Anyways, you just have to set it to the date you chose. Then go to the time. Eon Timer says one minute before your target, so your target time is 20:59:58, so set your DS to 20:58. And when you set your DS time, start the Eon timer at the exact same time. Now the first timer is running. You can either soft reset or hard reset at the end of the first timer. If you want to SR, get into your game and wait for the first timer to end. Right when it does, press the required buttons. If you want to hard reset just wait at the DS menu and when the timer ends select your game.

Now the second timer is running. Press A until you get to the game menu (where you can select continue, new game, etc.). Wait there until the second timer ends. Right when it does, press A to get into the game world.

Once you're in the game go to your Pokegear. Make sure you're in a place with no moving NPCs. Go to the seed to time window and press generate (the one that's more near the bottom). Then press Search Elm. Now start calling Irwin. You verify your seed by the responses he gives:

K: I'm so glad you called!
E: Hearing about your escapades rocks my world!
P: How are you?

Then press ok and it will tell you the time and delay you hit! To calibrate in Eon Timer, just type in the delay you got in the Delay Hit box then press update.

Because the PokéRNG Seed is different from the Seed listed lower in the post..

Highlighted seeds are not the same.

I have a technical problem here

Since I am using the first ds that came out (so old omg XD), after you set the time in the ds settings, there is no way you can start the game without turning the console off, so, should i click confirm on the time, run the first eontimer simultaneously, turn off the ds, turn it on, and wait for the first timer to reach 0 and then click on the start game?
