INTRODUCTION
When I made this team, I had one goal in mind: to use Magnezone+Salamence effectively. An interesting thing about the combo is that together they resist every type in the game. This team when I first made it got me to #1 on Smogon Server when it first was up. So with that little intro out of the way, onto the team!
TEAM
Azelf @ Focus Sash
Levitate
6 HP/252 Attack/252 Speed
Jolly
~Stealth Rock
~U Turn
~Taunt
~Explosion
Azelf is one of the best leads in the game right now. Hes basically a guaranteed SR which my team really enjoys. Taunt stops Bronzong leads, and after I SR I go to Maggy for a free kill. I try to keep him alive for late game if possible so I can explode on a late game sweeper. The EV spread is standard for him, as he won't be taking many hits. The only lead that really troubles him is Ttar, cause as soon as I get up rocks Azelf bites the dust.
Heracross @ Salac Berry
Swarm
6 Def/252 Attack/252 Speed
30 HP IV
Jolly
~Swords Dance
~Megahorn
~Substitute
~Close Combat
MoPcross hell yea! This is one of Hera's best sets in my opinion. If you don't know how this works, you switch this in on something thats scared of Hera, then set up a sub. What I love about this set is that if a Gliscor switches in, it expects me to be choiced, so I just Sub and SD while they take 2 hits to break the sub. When I get down to Swarm boost, its a 2hko at worst. I've swept so many teams with this guy its crazy.
Magnezone @ Leftovers
Magnet Pull
92 HP/230 Special Attack/188 Speed
Modest
~Thunderbolt
~Hidden Power Grass 70
~Substitute
~Magnet Rise
Part one of the Magnezone/Mence combo. The EV spread is a little weird, so let me explain. I wanted it to have enough speed to outspeed standard Agility Gross before an agility. The HP evs give him a Leftovers number, at 304. The rest in Sp Att for kick ass attacking. I have a bit of a Swampert weak, so HP Grass>Ice. Sub and Magnet Rise is necessary to trap steels. This is my only steel, so he takes a couple hits if needed.
Salamence @ Life Orb
Intimidate
224 HP/12 Attack/196 Defense/76 Speed
Jolly
~Dragon Dance
~Dragon Claw
~Earthquake
~Roost
Bulkymence is a beast. After Magnezone takes out the opponent's steel, this guy usually gets a sweep. The EVs allow him to take all kinds of hits, such as 2 SDed Extremespeeds from Lucario. He also is able to outspeed said Lucario and KO with Earthquake. This guy is also able to survive an Outrage from ScarfChomp with SR in play and then kill with Dragon Claw. Dragon Claw and Earthquake is unresisted after Steels are taken care of. Roost allows him to heal while removing that ugly 4x weak and 2x Rock resist.
Tentacruel @ Leftovers
Liquid Ooze
204 HP/96 Special Attack/ 172 Special Defense/36 Speed
Calm
~Surf
~Ice Beam
~Toxic Spikes
~Rapid Spin
Tentacruel is my Mixape Counter, Rapid Spinner, and Toxic Spiker. Rapid Spin is necessary in order get rocks away, otherwise Salamence takes unnecessary damage from SR, which he dislikes. Toxic Spikes is a great way to slowly get YacheChomp, among other pokemon, to the kill range of Deoxys E. Surf is a great STAB move as always, while Ice Beam can help against Dragons and is good for coverage.
Deoxys-E @ Expert Belt
Pressure
4 Attack/252 Special Attack/252 Speed
Naive
~Superpower
~Ice Beam
~Thunderbolt
~Shadow Ball
Late game, this guy is so amazing. With pokemon like Garchomp and Infernape suffering from Toxic Spikes, Deo here takes them out rather easily. Max speed is to at worst tie other Deo, while Max Special Attack helps with my 3 special moves. Attack gets 4 evs so Superpower gets a tiny boost. The coverage of Boltbeam is fantastic, with the few pokes that resist it (Magnezone, Lanturn, Shedinja) being taken out by Hera, Salamence, and Stealth Rock respectively. Superpower takes out Tyranitar and Lucario in one hit. Shadow Ball takes out opposing Deoxys E as long as Gengar, etc.
So thats the team. If you can do anything to help fix it that would be great. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!
