Holy jesus Cavs, this is absolutely embarassing. Are you seriously gonna lose a playoff series 4-1 after having the best record in the NBA?

Come on, just fucking beat the Magic, they're not unbeatable, for christs sake.

The best record means nothing if the team you're playing matches up well against you (see: 2007 Mavericks). The Magic raped Cleveland in the regular series. I'm not surprised to see this outcome at all.

If there's any one team that the Lakers wouldn't want to face in the Finals (if they made it to the playoffs), it would be the Bobcats. Your record doesn't matter in the short run. Your opponent does.

Announcer: AND OMETA OKAFOR MAKES THE GAME 7 WINNING SHOT

Crowd: "Who?"

Bobcats Lakers would be sweet. imo the cavs dont deserve the win-they blew a 22 point lead!

dwight howard will get a tech somewhere near the end of the game as the cavs win, giving him his 7th tech and a suspension for game 6 (in orlando) allowing the cavs to win that game, and then a game 7 back at their homecourt.

ooooooor the cavs lose lol.

His 6th was rescinded. He only has 5 now.

And sorry RL, but Lebron is the best player in this game today. Period. That effort was absolutely amazing.

Helps when you have a terrible team around you huh?

Wasn't like that tonight though. Cleveland actually played.... good.

Actually, Cleveland finally played the same way they've played all season and the first two rounds of the playoffs. The first four games of this series were pretty out of character. Expect game 5 to be a lot more like that from Lebron's supporting cast (who are definitely NOT "terrible").

i've come to the realization that lebron james would struggle to be a top 10 player if games were called the way they were in the 80s and 90s

so much of his game is driving and trolling for fouls that would never be called in the 80s

Cavs played really good last night. Hopefully they can carry that into Game 6. If they play like they did last night, they're going to win.

So, when LeBron has a great game, his complete basketball skillset becomes superior to Kobe Bryant's? That's like saying if you play a perfect game against panamaxis or IPL and win, your suddenly a better battler than them....

Thats the problem I have with LeBron James fans. I think LeBron James is an amazing talent and clearly on a level above everyone else... I respect his game, and I think he WAS definately deserving of MVP this year... but he suddenly becomes super-hyped every time he as a breakout performance. Kobe can drop 40 like he did in Game 3, completely will his team to victory, collect blocks, steals, rebounds, and assists to go along with it (which don't ever get mentioned for him btw)... and no one suddenly declares him the "best." Why? Because we expect it.

So don't be surprised of Kobe drops 40+ again tonight. And if he does... no one will say shit about it the next day...

And Cavs fans... don't get your hopes up. This series is done in Orlando.

Yes, the Cavs-Magic series is over in Orlando. The Magic will get off to a better start and won't have to come back from a 22 point deficit. I don't expect Ilgauskas and Gibson to be making shots on the road.

So it was funny because my original prediction here was Magic in 6 and also Lakers in 6.

Tonight the Lakers have a chance to close out in....6 games.
I also didn't expect the Cavs to only get 1 game off of the Magic. The Cavs arent as good as Orlando but I would expect two....therefore we are heading back to Orlando where Orlando has blown out Cleveland during the season and should close out the series....in 6 games.

Perfect predictions ftmfw.

I don't know why you don't expect them to do what they've done all season, particularly ilgauskas. You wouldn't know it from picking up and watching the playoffs now thanks to the idiot broadcasters, but Z has had a very good mid-range shot his entire career. That's not something wacky they started doing to throw the Magic off.

I don't expect the Cavs to win this game, much less the series, but I do expect it to be close.

Does anyone in this thread NOT either love or hate the Cavs? I'm sensing a lot of strong opinions both ways

I don't hate them, I just dislike them I guess because of the fact that they get so much attention just because they swept a few mediocre teams the first two rounds and also just because they have the season's MVP. It seems like the Magic aren't getting nearly as much attention as they should be getting.

The Cavs are getting the attention because they deserve the attention. Five years ago, the Cavaliers were horrible, but look where they are now? They're probably not winning a championship yet, they honestly still need a bit more fixing up, but they're in the Conference finals right now.

You think having the MVP doesn't deserve attention? Are you nuts?
