richmond is definitely a bright spot to my otherwise trashed bracket, they are a fucking amazing team and were rolling 65% three pointers midway through the second half

kevin anderson put up great numbers too, 16 points of his 25 were in the second half

i hope they torch morehead and upset kansas

what a great day that would be
 
Why didn't I see this earlier? Oh well, my brackets on ESPN are all busted save 1, which is intact. Of course, I need Michigan to get to the final four for that to work, but you never know. I called vandy's win in most of my brackets, since it seemed right.

Also, Pitt has a way too easy bracket. Of my 5 brackets, 4 have them going to the final four, since there are no teams which can compete with them in their regional. The one which is still intact is the one which has them winning it all. And Syracuse beating OSU, Illinois beating Kansas, and Utah State in the sweet 16. Actually, I have 3 12/13 seeds in the sweet 16 in this bracket. Its intact... for now.

Knowles busted more brackets single-handedly than any team could haha. (or should i say single-ankle-dly? too soon...)

But disappointed in UKs play today, Knight couldn't hit anything. Princeton had a great game though, gotta give em props. Wofford was looking so promising...woulda been a great win for them if they could have taken a steeper lead! Now just waiting for missouri to beat cincy...

(also, not that i'm going to come close to winning [lol uk vs uofl championship] but it didn't save my champion on yahoo, just the tiebreaker >__> oh well)
 
Day 1 Review:

Best ending: uuuuhhh Butler/OD barely, there were like 7 good ones though
Best upset: RICHMOND over Vandy who's now lost to a 12 or lower seed in their last 3 appearances
Best performance: Florida and UConn came out strong, Richmond was so fun to watch with their blocks and 3's though
Worst performance: Kalin Lucas. Mizzou is a close second
Overall: 12/16 (missed Temple, Louisville, Cincinnati and Michigan State)

Lovin march madness already :D
 
I think the best ending was morehead state going balls out and nailing a three at the end, and then blocking Louisville's buzzer shot. And that was one hell of a block. But then again, I was rooting for ODU.

my brackets are always busted after the first day, but it's too exciting for me to care. (I had Louisville, St Johns, and ODU in the elite eight). Anyway, Charles Barkley proclaimed that he is rooting against all eleven big east teams, and that kicks ass.
 
lolol my High Risk bracket is 13 of 16 and top 90% on ESPN. Go figure

Can't believe Mizz choked. And I def did not see Louisville losing.

MSU loss hurt. I wish they'd have just stayed down by like 60 or whatever, coming so close is such a tease :(. Thought UCLA was incapable of missing a free throw for a while there, was getting frustrated watching...
 
Michigan State's game was a fitting end to a terrible season.. a real microcosm of the year. Gotta play with the same passion and determination for 40 minutes.. not just the last 10-15.. likewise for the schedule. Need to show up to play for all the games, not just the last 3 of 5 so you make it in.
 
Well apparently Michigan decided it was time to go beast mode and put up 75 against Tenn. FML what an awful bracket so far.

Also looks like Memphis might pull the upset. I seriously didn't think that there were going to be this many upsets. Its been a crazy tourney so far and we're barely half way through the second round
 
i got SDSU to win it all. even though im a diehard duke bball fan i dont really see them making it out, although they got erving back, i see it messing with their current team chemistry more than helping, but you never know. it was also my first bracket and im a sucker for underdog stories. my final four is UNC, SDSU, KU, Pitt -> SDSU v KU -> SDSU.

so far my only two losses are L'Ville and ODU.

Unfortunately VCU is losing to Georgetown. Thats another game down the drain.
I also made a bracket where the higher seed always wins every game, which is in the top 4%. In other words, if you aren't in the top 4% (on ESPN), you were better off picking all the higher seeds.

Anyway tied for 3rd, and tied for 1st with most potential points possible yeeeaaa. Finished off 2nd day after a meh 1st one only getting Michigan wrong, so pretty happy about that.

What do you all think about the upcoming Morehead St. vs Richmond game? It's really the only game between two teams who upset, so I'm just curious how you all think that'll pan out
 
Day 2 Review:

Best game: Nova choking and Memphis/Arizona
Best ending: Memphis/AZ, Georgia also put up a good fight at the end and came semi close with a potential tying buzzer beater
Best upset: VCU baby
Best performance: Marquette, I'm really surprised
Worst performance: Tennessee by far, UNLV was surprisingly bad too
Overall: 13/16 (missed George Mason, UNLV, Marquette)
 
Dam lol, if I didnt pick St. Peters messing around id be in first alone in the smogon bracket, but then again if somebody didnt pick Michigan St. going Final Four or w/e it was theyd probably be up there in first too
 
Ughhhhhh

Three 11 v 6 upsets? I picked two, but seriously? Georgetown that was an awful fucking game. I can't believe VCU won. They are garbage. Missed all the other games, but there were a lot of upsets; good games though so far. Morehead St. vs Louisville takes the cake for best game in the Round of 64. Amazing game all the way through
 
GRAAAAH everybody gave me shit for picking oakland to upset texas and maybe in retrospect it wasn't the world's smartest decision but they came SOSOSO CLOSE at the end after being down like 16 with 10 minutes left ugh what a cocktease. i'm still doing pretty decent though, i picked gtown going down to vcu which is cool and that + louisville has massively fucked a bunch of the people in my group sooo things are looking pertty good.
 
Well I'm winning my group :D I'm now 27/32. My loses were richmond, odu, marquette, vcu, and illinois.

I actually have morehead st. going to the elite 8. :T
 
Besides Michigan State and Sucksville, my bracket is fine for the most part... Most of my missed games were either upsets or predicted upsets not happening, all of which were 3rd round exits.
