New and "creative" moveset/EV spread thread "Mark 2"

Problem is lopunnny would be really predictable. If you see a lopunny, you know there's a good chance it's trying to throw bad items at you.

But good luck guessing what will that be 'bad item'. :3
I use Lopunny on Wi-Fi a lot, and I keep changing from CB to Scarf, to Specs, to Iron Ball, Flame Orb, Toxic Orb, Black Sludge, etc. Yup.

I guess, but they will still see said bad item coming and know to send in something who can take a bad item better than say, their scarfed revenge killer.

Eh, I think they're unavailable because they're not the most competitively viable items? Maybe something like that, although it has weird things like the +Def berries.

I'd still stick to Lopunny if you'd want to do that kind of thing, though.

My guess is they're unavailable because they are harder to program than others.

(below is a separate thought completely, but I am putting it here to refrain from double posting)

If I wanted to get help designing a creative moveset, rather than completely designing the moveset and EVs by myself, should I post it here? Or would this be an idea which could be created as a separate thread where one can take their undeveloped ideas for help? I'm asking because I'm trying to create an Anti-metagame Gallade, but I don't really want to do it by myself.

Bronzong could work also, but Iron Ball totally ruins it. Does anyone know why the items are unavailable on Shoddy?

The Bronzong set would be something like

Bronzong
Moveset Name: Tail Tricker
Trick
Hypnosis
Explosion
Gyro Ball/Reflect/Light Screen/Confuse Ray
Item: Lagging Tail
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Relaxed/Sassy
EVs: ???

Why wouldn't you just Trick a Macho Brace. The Macho Brace will not only increase Gyro Ball's power while you have it equiped, you will severely cripple almost anything you end up Tricking to.

I would use something like
~Trick
~Gyro Ball
~Explosion
~Earthquake / Reflect / Light Screen.
Sassy @ 252 HP / 128 Atk / 128 Sp Def with a Macho Brace

Very good idea, thanks. Does Shoddy allow Macho Brace though? Iron Ball or Lagging Tail would still be better, but Macho Brace could work temporarily.

Slapping a Choice Specs on something doesn't make it new... especially a joke special attacker like marowak who has the highest fucking attack in the game.

Iron Ball would be freaking awful as you'd lose your Levitate.

Lee I think your knowledge and logic are working against you here: if you use it as a leadoff Trick roomer, no-one is going to throw a ground move at Bronzong, so it could work. Cripple gengars speed and remove its ground immunity - that could be sweet...

In reference to the Lagging Tail/Iron Ball thing, I really want it to be available on Shoddy...

I swear, Lopunny usage would certainly increase....but yeah, having slow Trickers use it would certainly make them more worthwhile. Too bad a lot of Levitators learn Trick as well (Bronzong, Rotom)...I'd stick with Lagging Tail.
Lopunny is nerfed on Shoddy by lack of Klutz support, which is annoying.
If it had better Speed it would be a great Switcheroo lead.

I've seen a couple of Lopunny's on shoddy lately, i like to take that opportunity to setup on my Muk or Gastrodon.

I've actually CB Zong, it's bretty beast w/ brave 252 Atk, 0 Speed IV STAB gyro ball.

Too bad you'd be doing practically no damage....

Yeah, so what if I'm being paraflinched... you're gonna be struggling by the time I'm at 50% HP.

Ariados is rather underrated. If you get past his many weaknesses, it's a rather good type. I suppose this may work in all tiers... if you can't lucky.

Baton Pass V. 2
Ariados @ Attack/SpA pinch berries (don't remember names)
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Insomnia
EVs: 252 EVs HP, 252 Spe
- Substitute
- Agility
- Baton Pass
- Bug Bite/Sucker Punch

Come in on sleep moves, from Bronzong or ScarfGar. Sub while they attack, or switch. Agility while they break your sub, and you can keep subbing until you get to your berry and Baton Pass away! Not much of a difference, but Insomnia really helps it...

Guess that it's nothing really new, but the fact, that so many players find Breloom too slow for this metagame gave me the absolute awesome idea of giving him a Choice Scarf... Scarfsleep with the best sleeping move is pretty awesome, but he's able to revenge-kill some stuff. And he's not even to slow, only 7 base points slower than Heatran, and Scarftran works as most of you should know... Choice Scarf was a pretty bad item for him in D/P, but now he got his reliable Fighting-STAB not called Focus Punch ... Superpower (Sky Uppercut suxx xD). Also he can use Poison Heal AND TPunch now and makes a great switch into TSpikes ;) So...

Breloom (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 14 HP/252 Atk/244 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Spore
- Superpower
- Stone Edge/TPunch
- Seed Bomb

Yeah, great guy =3 Outpaces Skymin by two points (one is impossible Dx), Gyarados after 1 DD (except jolly ones, which try to outpace Skymin as well...). With Superpower he got a reliable Fighting-STAB if you hate prediction. And to be honest, Scarfed Focus Punch suxx.
This guy surprises so many ppl... example? Matchup is Suicide-Azelf vs. Loom. He Psychics/Taunts, but he doesn't expect me to be faster, so I prevent him from bringing in SR, tactically awesome.
The decision between SE and TPunch is the question if you wanna revenge Gyara or Skymin mostly. Of course there are different targets (Arcanine lol), but those are those which matter ... is this one okay and new ??? xDD

Not exactly new, the concept of "slap a Scarf on high power/average speed Pokemon" has been around since the item was introduced, but it looks pretty effective.

By the way, it would be more beneficial to just max your speed, if only to tie Scarf Metagross and other Scarf Breloom.

I've been using this set for Salamence on Shoddy and it has worked wonders.

Salamence@Life Orb
Naughty; 116 Atk, 252 Sp.Atk, 140 Speed

Outrage
Fire Blast
Earthquake
Draco Meteor

The new MixMence, it would seem. EVs give it 319 Sp.Atk, 368 Atk, and 271 Speed. While the other MixMence struggled against 252 / 108 / 148 Bolb Cresselia, this version has a good chance of bringing it down in 2 hits, and it is almost assured with Stealth Rock down. It rips through walls like there is no tomorrow, and it doesn't worry about being locked into any attacks other than Outrage, unlike CB Mence. Blissey, even if it carries max Def, is easily 2HKOd by Outrage, especially if hit by Draco Meteor on the switch.

The only thing that lets it down is the relatively low speed, but otherwise it works great. Wish support from Jirachi is preferable.

Ariados also has a trapping move going for it. Maybe you should put that down as another option instead of Bug Bite / Sucker Punch? It could serve another purpose then besides just passing boosts. (It can allow something like Gyarados to set-up)

That or instead of Agility, speed to something slow can be just as deadly as Gyarados trapped with a Specs Starmie.

And I would say Sucker Punch, despite the fact that you lose STAB, everyone wants to break your sub.

Over the attacking option would be best, since it'll do crap damage anyway.

And sometimes the foe will try to set up on you, but that means you get a chance to trap it and pass your boosts to a counter.

I use the same thing. But drop some attack and add speed. I use

Naive - 80 Attack, 176 Spe, 252 Sp Atk

Gives you 326 Attack / 308 Speed / 319 Special Attack... impressive... (fucking Jolly Lucario's with Ice Punch and annoying Roserades w/ Sleep Powder, and fucking bullshit 285 Zapdos)

Set Name: Physical Element Azelf
@ Leftovers/Life Orb
Evs- 252 Atk/ 220 speed/ 36 HP
Move set
Fire Punch
Thunder Punch
Ice Punch
Zen Headbutt
Nature Adamant/Jolly
In D/P, Azelfs only option was to be a special sweeper. Now thanks to Platinum, we meet physical Azelf. Following the Same Evs as NP Zelf, you CAN live a weavile Pursuit even CB Pursuit. Fire Punch For steel, Ice Punch for Dragon and Ground types, and Thunder Punch for water types( Especially Gyrados ). Zen Head butt for STAB. Your only option of recovery here is Leftovers since it lacks Drain Punch. Same Thing for Atk boosts, you lack Swords Dance. But if you have a Baton Pass team, try to pass Atk boosts for this, and a wish as well with Life Orb Equipped. . The Evs set it at 383 Atk ( Adamant ) 349 ( Jolly ) 300 Hp, and 321 speed for Adamant.

* Small Note: You can not use this set unless you have Shoddy. When Platinum comes out., you'll be able to use it. All attacks come from A move Tutor.

Fire Punch and Ice Punch have horrible coverage. You have to get the choice, do you want to hit steels or Dragons and Grounds. I'd go with Fire Punch 'cause they're not many Ground or Dragon leads, but Fire Blast/Flamethrower copletely outclasses Fire Punch because 'Zong focuses on Defense more than Special Defense.
Edit: Explosion pretty much beats Zen Headbutt because of the coverage issues and Explosion is more powerful.
