Lapras@Leftovers
Set Name: Bulky Perish Trapper
Bold
EVs: 252 HP/100 Def./152 SpD
-Perish Song
-Whirlpool
-Ice Beam
-Protect
The nature is to boost one of its' stats that is one of the weaker ones, this goes also along with why the EVs are the way they are. Max HP for maximum survivability, I decided to split the defense EVs to be a generally bulky perish songer to last longer. Whirlpool is there to trap the opponent along with getting some damage in, Ice Beam is for an actual STAB attack. Protect can either be for more stalling, scouting or for free lefties recovery. That's the set and sorry if it was already suggested.
Er.. the Pro Dure combo doesn't work. Endure only has a 50% chance of working after Protect has been used, and vice versa. Don't post a set unless you have at least tested it.
But why make Skarmory special oriented when Magnezone can do that job much better but without the flying and ice but, that's why he has the option of HP Ice.
Edit: Also Magnezone has 6 resistances while Skarmory only has 5, Magnezone also gets access to Magnet Rise to eliminate one of his weaknesses whereas Skarmorys' typing gives it ground immunity that's where Skarmory beats Magnezone in not wasting a move slot. But Skarmory has more weaknesses: 2(Fire,Electric) while Magnezone has one factoring in Magnet Rise and that being Fire. Defensively Skarmory has Magnezone beat in physical but special, goes to check, Skarmorys' 70 Sp. Def. base vs. Magnezones' base 90 Sp. Def. Why am I discussing this at all, well to answer that question to make Magnezone seem like the superior steel type that can perform the special sweeper role on a team rather than Skarmory.
Here's something Vastly disgusting I've been testing.
Swampert @ Cutsap Berry
Nature: Sassy
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP - 128 Def - 128 SP Def
Counter
Mirror Coat
Endure
Endeavor
Step 1: Counter/Mirror Coat your opponent into Blowup-ville.
Step 2: Stare at your opponent's Revenge Killer for a second or two.
Step 3: Endure - Survive thier attack with 1HP
Step 4: Use Endeavor. The Cutsap Berry will insure you First strike with you measly 1HP Left. Your opponent's fresh, new Poke is now at 1HP.
Step 5: If you have a Sandstorm going, Unless said revenge killer is a Ground, rock or steel type, it will die.
Congratulations, you just took down 2 of your opponent's Pokes!
An alternative would be to switch the Swampert out and save the Endure/Endeavor for later.
taunt ftl though
Interesting Set never saw a physical Azelf before.Azelf![]()

Choice Band
Levitate
Naive/Naughty
40/252/0/0/0/212
I guess this could work. Since it lacks STAB return deals big dents with 102 base power. Explosion always deals huge damage but you might want to include payback for ghosts. However iron tail does have higher base power.
U-turn is for going to the counter. The fire moves let you hit bronzong and scarmory that otherwise wall you
I like this Bronzong set it counter Water and ground type and with heat prof it kinda resists it now.I agree with Stathakis. The previous thread was a mess..
@Leftovers![]()
Name: Counter Destroyer Zong
Ability:Heatproof
Nature: Relaxed/Sassy
EV's: 252 HP, 70 Att, 90 SpAtt, 94 SpDef
~HP {Fire}
~Earthquake/Psychic/Calm Mind
~Grass Knot/Calm Mind
~Stealth Rock/Hypnosis/Trick Room
This set is made to eleminate Zong's counters: Bulky Waters, Magnezone, Heatran, Celebi and Infernape while somewhat keeping it's ability to set up SR or sleep. Bulky waters are taken care by Charge Beam, Magnezone and Celebi are taken care off with HP {Fire} and Heatran and Infernape are taken care with Earthquake. This Zong should mostly be used as a Special wall. Or you could move those SpDef EV's to Def and call a Physical wall. The nature depends on where you place the SpDef EV's, keep them in SpDef or move them to Def. Heatproof is the preffered option over Levitate because the oppenent would never use a Ground type attack on Zong, but they will use a Fire attack. And you could keep the facade up with a spinner to spin away Spikes. Though you shouldn't keep him in on Swampert because he walls this set if you don't have Grass Knot or Psychic. If you meet Pert with this set you should sleep him or set up SR or TR.
